Chapter 221 Crazy Jealousy
Yesterday we wrapped up the final scene. Charlotte killed the only person in this world who was ever good to her, then took poison to end her own life.
The two lay in the snow, nestled close to each other.
She whispered something in Brad's ear at the very end, but no one could hear what she said.
But Brad, still clinging to a thread of consciousness, shed a tear. All the unwillingness and pain in his eyes faded away. He struggled to prop himself up, pulled Charlotte into his arms, and slowly closed his eyes.
This scene brought tears to everyone watching on set.
Now, seeing them gazing intimately at each other, their eyes meeting, the deep affection in their gaze impossible to hide...
Many people couldn't hold back and started crying again.
The photographer, all excited, kept filming them with his camera, constantly adjusting their poses.
The two moved closer and closer together.
Chase watched this scene and couldn't help but sigh, "Mrs. White is really cut out for acting. It's like she walked right out of the script. And that guy looks pretty good too - surprisingly well-matched with Mrs. White."
The moment Chase finished speaking, he heard the sound of shattering glass beside him.
The temperature around him instantly dropped several degrees.
He slowly turned his head and met Benjamin's eyes, which gleamed with a dangerous light like a hawk's.
"Well-matched?" Benjamin sneered, his eyes narrowing slightly in a chilling way.
Chase shivered hard, only then realizing he'd said his thoughts out loud.
But he also found it somewhat funny.
Although he'd often seen Benjamin get jealous over Sophia before, this was the first time it was so obvious.
Besides, Benjamin was known for being ruthless and decisive in business - almost no one could get the better of him.
Just moments ago, Benjamin had closed a deal worth hundreds of millions of dollars, leaving his opponents speechless at the negotiating table.
But here at the film set, he was like a different person.
Seeing Sophia taking photos with someone else, he got insanely jealous, his imposing presence completely deflated.
Sure enough, in love, whoever falls first loses.
A staff member standing nearby suddenly felt at a loss.
He wanted to ask Benjamin if he needed medicine for his hand, but in the end couldn't work up the courage.
It was Chase who spoke up to reassure him: "Mr. White, don't worry, it's all fake. They're just acting. You're Mrs. White's husband!"
Hearing Chase's words, Benjamin's expression softened slightly, but still looked frighteningly dark.
His hawk-like eyes stared intently in Sophia and Ronnie's direction.
Following the photographer's instructions, they adjusted their poses many times.
From her styling, Sophia looked gentle and dignified, but her face was stunningly beautiful, impossible to look away from. Those clear eyes gazed straight at Ronnie in front of her.
In her eyes, you couldn't tell if it was love or a lingering, bittersweet resentment.
And Ronnie, in his suit, had an imposing presence with a hint of fierceness flashing in his eyes, yet he stared at Sophia without blinking.
In the depths of his eyes lay surging affection.
Just then, the photographer suddenly called out, "Try a pose like you're about to kiss - yes, just like that, very good, perfect! Hold it..."
Another freshly served glass shattered, startling Chase.
He hadn't expected Benjamin's reaction to be this intense. Looking down, he saw Benjamin's hands were now covered in blood.
Glass shards still remained in his palms.
The staff members nearly cried. Was this guy even human?
So scary!
They'd seen plenty of celebrities in the industry, but never anyone like Benjamin who sat there crushing glasses for fun.
A vein throbbed at Chase's temple. Noticing the staff members' pale faces, he immediately waved them away, signaling them to leave quickly.
At this moment, Benjamin's face was extremely dark.
His eyes were locked on Sophia and Ronnie.
Ronnie currently had his hand on Sophia's waist. Though there was nothing inappropriate about it, to Benjamin it was pure provocation.
Who knew how much effort it took for him to restrain the impulse to rush over and separate them.
"Mr. White, don't worry, it's just acting. Mrs. White can't only interact with you as the only man!"
"Why not?" Benjamin looked up coolly, his icy gaze shooting toward Chase.
Chase shivered hard, wanting to slap himself.
He'd said the wrong thing again.
"What I mean is, Mrs. White really loves acting. You wouldn't want to ruin Mrs. White's mood because of your possessiveness, would you?"
Benjamin scoffed lightly, leaned back in his chair, and slowly collected his thoughts.
He looked in Sophia's direction, a self-mocking smile crossing his lips.
If he really wanted to stop Sophia, he wouldn't be sitting here right now.
He knew Sophia loved acting. Whenever she talked about filming details, her eyes sparkled like stars.
Dazzling and brilliant.
How could he bear to destroy what Sophia found most beautiful and precious?
So even though he was jealous of Ronnie, he would try hard to control himself and not lose his composure in front of Sophia.
Actually, more than that, he didn't want Sophia to see his dirty, crazy possessiveness.
He slowly closed his eyes, then opened them again, quickly suppressing those complicated emotions.
Then he beckoned to Chase.
Chase bent down and leaned close to him.
"Two glasses, pay them ten times the price. Then go do something for me..."
Benjamin lowered his voice and whispered a few words in Chase's ear, then waved him away.
Chase looked at him with a complicated expression, then glanced at Sophia in the distance and asked, "Mr. White, is this really okay?"
"What? You have a problem with it?"
"No, no, I wouldn't dare!" Chase laughed awkwardly and immediately ran off.
Before leaving, he had his assistant go to the pharmacy to buy medicine for Benjamin.
What Benjamin didn't know was that Sophia, who was shooting, was equally uncomfortable.
This was her first time being so close to another man, and she felt a bit uneasy.
Ronnie, who played the second male lead Brad, was a low-profile actor only two years older than Sophia.
In the show, he was domineering, sinister, and despised by everyone, but off-screen, he was someone who embarrassed easily.
Their personalities were worlds apart.
At this moment, Ronnie's cheeks were bright red, the flush spreading all the way to behind his ears. Only he knew how fast his heart was beating right now.
Sophia was simply too beautiful - not just her appearance, but her personality was exactly what he liked.
What a shame that he'd heard Sophia was already married.
And apparently, Sophia's husband was right here on set. Which man exactly, he wasn't sure.
