Chapter 214 Beaten
Sawyer stood at the sink, turned on the faucet to wash his hands, and glanced at him through the mirror with an indifferent expression.
Alvin nodded, "Yeah, don't you think Sophia is really pretty?"
"You're going after her just because she's pretty?" Sawyer slowly turned his head to look at him.
"Women are just toys to pass the time. If you like one, get her and have some fun. When you're bored, move on to the next one." Alvin turned off the faucet, shook the water off his hands, his face full of contempt.
Sawyer clenched his fists, his teeth grinding audibly as he held back his anger.
Not hearing Sawyer's voice, Alvin slowly turned his head and saw his face was so dark it was scary. He froze for a moment.
"What? You interested in that woman too? If you don't mind, we can compete fairly." Alvin pulled out a tissue and wiped his hands clean.
Before Sawyer could say anything, he leaned in and lowered his voice, "Or... do you like playing together? Three people, that could work too. Sophia is good-looking, that body, that face..."
He was imagining the wonderful scenes after getting Sophia when he suddenly heard a rush of wind.
Then a fist landed squarely on his face, knocking his head to the side.
Before Alvin could react, Sawyer lifted his foot and kicked him.
Sawyer didn't hold back at all, kicking him straight to the ground.
Alvin clutched his aching stomach, eyes wide with shock, staring at Sawyer in disbelief.
Sawyer's face was so dark it looked like ink could drip from it. He lifted his foot and walked toward Alvin step by step.
Sensing danger, Alvin couldn't care about the pain and kept backing away.
Finally, his body pressed against the wall with nowhere left to go.
Sawyer clenched his fists, knuckles cracking, looking down at him with contempt.
"Sawyer, this is a film set, what are you trying to do?"
Another punch came down without mercy. Alvin felt his head spinning, then heard a sinister voice.
"Sophia is my real sister! You dare to target her? Do you want to die?"
Alvin was completely stunned.
Sophia... is Sawyer's sister? How is that possible?
Isn't Sawyer's sister Isabella?
Sophia, Sawyer, they both have the last name Brown.
Something suddenly clicked in his mind, and everything became clear.
He had heard about the Brown family's switched-at-birth daughters situation, but he never paid attention to it.
He never expected that the Brown family's real daughter was actually Sophia!
That bitch Isabella knew Sawyer was on set too, yet she still told him to approach Sophia. Wasn't she deliberately setting him up?
He held his head, curled up his body, and begged for mercy, "Stop! Sawyer, stop, please..."
But Sawyer seemed possessed, showing none of his usual gentle manner. His deep eyes were full of viciousness.
Fists rained down on him like hail. Alvin screamed in pain.
Alvin's screams were so loud they alarmed the crew outside.
When they rushed in, they found Sawyer beating Alvin like crazy.
They looked at each other and quickly rushed in to stop him.
With the help of several men, Alvin finally escaped Sawyer's fists.
But his handsome face was now swollen and red, and he lay curled up on the ground, moaning in pain.
After Sophia and Saskia finished filming a scene together, they noticed a crowd gathered near the restroom.
She looked over curiously and saw Cillian coming out, his face looking terrible.
"What happened?" Sophia asked, puzzled.
Cillian glanced at her and slowly shook his head, "Nothing, Sophia, you're done filming? Go sit and rest for a bit. We probably won't be filming anymore today."
"Not filming anymore? Why?"
Soon, Sophia learned what happened from the crew.
Apparently, Sawyer and Alvin got into an argument in the restroom and somehow ended up fighting.
They said Alvin was beaten pretty badly and had been taken to the hospital.
The set was in chaos. Joshua gave a few instructions and followed to the hospital.
Sawyer walked out of the restroom and came up to Sophia.
His clothes were a bit wrinkled, but it didn't affect his handsome appearance at all.
At least from the outside, he didn't seem hurt.
"From now on, stay away from Alvin. He has bad intentions toward you."
Sophia looked up in surprise, unable to process what this meant for a moment.
Why would he suddenly come tell her this?
Did it have something to do with the fight in the restroom?
But no one was there to answer these questions.
Sawyer knew Sophia hated him, so he only gave her a brief warning before leaving.
He knew that as a public figure, what he did was wrong, but he couldn't hold back at the time, and he didn't regret it.
Sophia had already suffered so much, and all that suffering was caused by them, her so-called family.
As Sophia's brother, he had recognized his mistakes, so he absolutely wouldn't allow anyone to bully Sophia.
This was one of the few things he could do for Sophia.
...
At the hospital, Alvin had a full body checkup. Apart from the serious injuries on his face, everything else was just minor.
Joshua sat in front of him, glanced over him, and asked calmly, "What exactly happened this afternoon? Why did Sawyer hit you?"
"How should I know!" Alvin's eyes darted around, not daring to meet Joshua's gaze.
Joshua had a powerful presence, and those eyes seemed to see through everything, making people nervous.
Alvin leaned back in his chair. His whole face was covered in medicine and wrapped in bandages, with only his eyes, nostrils, and mouth exposed.
Sawyer's threat echoed in his ears, "I recorded everything you just said. If you're smart, you'll know what to say and what not to say."
Alvin shuddered violently, shaking his head desperately, clenching his jaw tight, refusing to say anything.
Joshua couldn't get anything out of him, so he stopped asking.
If the person who got beaten didn't want to pursue it, why should he get involved?
However, Joshua had a feeling this had something to do with Sophia.
If that was really the case... combined with Alvin's behavior over the past few days, it wasn't hard to guess why Sawyer would beat him up.
He lowered his eyes, hiding the coldness in them, and slowly stood up from his chair. "Rest well. The day after tomorrow is the promotional photo shoot, and your face..."
Alvin covered his face, feeling wronged, angry, and frustrated.
But he had nowhere to vent.
He said in a muffled voice, "You guys shoot first. Just photoshop my picture in later."
