Chapter 109 Black Card
Looking at Celestia's confident appearance, Sophia suddenly found it somewhat amusing.
Her marriage to Benjamin was something even Preston had no right to interfere with.
What gave Celestia the right?
Hannah suddenly laughed out loud, instantly drawing everyone's attention.
"Forgive my ignorance, but I didn't realize the White Family has fallen so low that Ms. White is now running the show."
"Who are you? This is the White Family's business, none of your concern."
Having her face slapped in public like this, Celestia immediately flew into a rage.
"The White Family's business is none of my concern, but Sophia is my friend. I wonder if Benjamin knows that his cousin is publicly humiliating his wife?" Hannah crossed her arms and slowly walked up to Celestia.
Celestia's expression changed drastically, and she immediately took a step back.
Sophia looked at Hannah in surprise, not expecting her to step up and defend her.
"Qingqing is just telling the truth! What right does Sophia, some girl from the countryside, have to be Benjamin's wife?"
A girl standing behind Celestia suddenly spoke up.
Sophia looked up and saw the girl glaring at her resentfully, as if they had some deep grudge.
Sophia thought carefully and was certain she had never seen this person before.
Sophia's eyes narrowed slightly, releasing a dangerous glint.
"Whether I'm qualified or not isn't for you to judge. If I'm not qualified, are you?"
The girl was suddenly frightened by Sophia's cold gaze, panic flashing in her eyes.
Sophia snorted coldly and turned to look at Celestia. "Celestia, didn't I tell you not to provoke me again?"
"I'd like to see what you can do to me." Celestia snorted coldly, her tone full of disdain.
She was a legitimate daughter of the White Family.
While Sophia was just a country chicken that could never become a phoenix, even if she jumped onto a branch.
What could Sophia do to her?
"Childish."
Sophia wasn't going to keep tangling with Celestia. She took her clothes and prepared to check out.
If she really wanted to do something, Celestia probably wouldn't even have a chance to speak.
"Stop right there!"
Celestia felt she was being looked down upon by someone she despised most, and immediately became furious.
"What else?"
Sophia stopped and looked at Celestia helplessly.
"Sophia, all these things you're buying, you're spending the White Family's money?"
"How is that your business?"
Sophia gave her a cold glance, then took out a card from her bag and handed it to the clerk.
The clerk standing behind the counter had heard their entire conversation, and looked at Sophia with complicated eyes.
She had originally thought Sophia was some rich young lady, but it turned out she had married up into a wealthy family.
According to Celestia, this woman was from the countryside and had never seen much of the world.
She must have used some dirty tricks to win Benjamin's favor.
The clerk immediately showed a disgusted expression.
She hated women who would sell their bodies by any means necessary!
Sophia's hand stopped in mid-air, but the clerk remained motionless.
She couldn't help but frown.
"What's wrong? Is there a problem with this card?"
"No, nothing." The clerk snapped back to attention and quickly took the black card, ultimately saying nothing more.
But the clerk's expression was indescribably unpleasant.
Sophia looked completely puzzled.
Just then, Celestia suddenly rushed over and snatched the card from the clerk's hand.
"This card belongs to the White Family. What right do you have to use it?"
"Even if this really is the White Family's card, as Benjamin's wife, why can't I use it?"
Sophia was amused by her anger.
"Benjamin only married you to cure his illness. Once he's better, he'll definitely divorce you! You have no right to use the White Family's things!"
Celestia's gaze toward Sophia was full of jealousy and resentment.
Even she, a legitimate daughter of the White Family, didn't have a black card. Why should this little bitch Sophia have one?
Benjamin was really being unfair!
"Are you being reasonable or not? I used to think everyone in the White Family was gentle and well-mannered like Alaric, but it turns out there are exceptions." Hannah laughed coldly, her eyes full of mockery.
"Who are you calling ill-mannered?" Celestia immediately flew into a rage, raising her arm high and swinging it toward Hannah.
Sophia reacted quickly, grabbing Celestia's wrist and throwing it off forcefully.
"Celestia, if you think you're qualified to interfere with Benjamin's marriage, then go tell Grandpa properly, instead of throwing a tantrum here and making the White Family a laughingstock to outsiders."
Celestia came to her senses and glanced around, only to find they were surrounded by people.
Celestia's heart sank, and she suddenly had an ominous feeling.
She blinked guiltily, instinctively wanting to leave.
But after just two steps, Sophia suddenly stopped her.
She glared at Sophia angrily. "Get out of my way! I'm going home."
"Where you go is none of my business. Give me back my card."
Sophia laughed coldly, directly pulling the black card from her hand and handing it back to the clerk.
"Check it properly and see whose name is on this card."
The clerk was startled by the aura emanating from Sophia and tremblingly took the black card.
Although the clerk had seen many wealthy people, there were very few people in all of Silverlight City who could produce this card.
This card was a black card that could be used at high-end brands in major shopping malls worldwide. There were only three in all of Silverlight City.
One was in Benjamin's hands at the White Group, one was in Matthew's hands at the Lumina Group.
No one knew who held the last one.
The clerk was completely shocked, no longer showing any of her previous mockery and disdain.
Anyone who could possess this card was either rich or noble.
Their identity was definitely not simple.
Thinking of her earlier disrespect toward Sophia, the clerk immediately broke out in a cold sweat.
She was done for!
This job was probably over.
"Besides Benjamin, who else could produce this card? Sophia, must you humiliate yourself like this?" Celestia's eyes were full of mockery.
"This, this card belongs to Ms. Brown." The clerk answered truthfully, trembling.
"What? That's impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
Celestia's eyes widened in shock, full of disbelief.
Celestia naturally recognized this card.
This was a limited edition global shopping card that could be used to shop at luxury brand stores in major malls.
She had wanted it for a long time, but she never had the courage to ask Benjamin for it.
Benjamin was cold by nature, and when his illness flared up, he was like a complete madman that no one dared to provoke easily.
So Celestia had always been very wary of Benjamin.
When she saw Sophia pull out this card, Celestia was nearly mad with jealousy.
But the clerk told her that the owner of this card was actually Sophia?
How was that possible?
Celestia shook her head. "I don't believe it!"
