Vamica's POV

“What is it?” I asked, a frown on my face as I scanned Ronnie’s disheveled look.

“A picture of you and Knight has been circulating the city, it doesn't look good for both of you” he disclosed.

I let out a sigh, it was good I was going to quit. Who knows what else might happen?

“It doesn't matter, I am resigning anyway” I uttered, a sad smile on my face.

Before Ronnie could respond to my statement Knight stalked to me, anger burning in his eyes.

“Why did you leave with him?” He questioned, his hands gripping my shoulders.

“I am sure you know. I can't believe I thought I…” I trailed off, looking away from him.

“Know what?” He gritted out, his hand turning my head to look at him in the eye.

“I am quitting. I can't work here anymore” I stated instead, my eyes blurring over with tears as my heart pounded faster in my chest.

With how hard it was pounding I expected the usual pain that accompanied it.

There was no pain. Just pure, undiluted arousal rushing through me.

His eyes burned blue as he dragged me into his office. Immediately he slammed the door shut he pushed me against the door, claiming my lips with anger.

I tried to push him away, my hands shoving at his chest. One minute I was fighting to get him off me, the next I was melting into his arms with a sob.

He cupped the back of my head, his teeth nipping hard at my bottom lip. His hand fisted my hair, the slight pain striking my lower belly with arousal.

“You don't get to leave me” He mumbled when he broke the kiss, his eyes searching through mine.

“I would. We can't-” he claimed my lips before I could finish my sentence, his tongue plunging into my mouth.

He wrapped his hands around my waist, lifting me off my feet.

I wrapped my legs around his waist instinctively, a moan escaping me as he squeezed my ass cheeks.

My hips grated down on him, my hand running through his silky hair. He dropped me onto my desk, sending things crashing onto the floor.

“I…I shouldn't be doing this with you, we can't ever be together” I didn't even try to resist him. I was pathetic.

I tried to hop down from my desk but he didn't let me, his strong arms placed on each side of me.

“That is a lie. You are mine. Always have, always would be mine” he grounded out, his hands parting my legs wider to accommodate him.

“S-stop this!” I let out, passion and guilt warring within me. How could I still want him this much?.

A knock on the door broke his attention from me, his gaze sliding towards the door.

“The board members are requesting for a meeting now, it is very urgent” Ronnie's muffled voice let out.

He gritted his teeth, his hand gripping my exposed thigh firmly.

“This isn't over. It would never be” I let out a choppy breath as he walked away from me.

“They summoned you too, Vamica” Ronnie poked his head into office before he hurried after Knight.

I bent down to pick up the flash that had fallen to the ground.

I dropped it onto his desk, walking out of the office.

“What do you have to say about this?!” One board member roared out, a vein prominent on his face as I stepped into the boardroom.

“What else do I have to say? It is evident the picture was taken during a private moment.

I swallowed as his eyes turned on me. “Why can't you just-”

“It would be best if you don't finish that sentence” Knight gritted out, his eyes flashing.

“Are you threatening a member of the board because of a mere employee?” Another board member asked, his tone portraying his disbelief.

“If this is what the meeting is for we would like to be excused” Knight gritted out, pulling me by my wrist to leave.

“And that is why we are looking to replace you with a more capable person” The only woman on the board let out.

Just then the door was pushed open to reveal…Lucas?

Serena entered with him, her hand entwined with his. A smirk was on her face as she glanced at Knight and I.

Her brows snapped into a frown when her eyes dropped to where Knight held my wrist.

Could I really believe her words if she was the one behind every professional sabotage I had come across?

“You really think my brother would achieve the monthly bonus you all get?” Knight asked, his tone calm.

He turned to face them, his eyes scanning their faces. They all cleared their throat, the woman blinking rapidly.

“Brother, you don't need to embarrass them like that. This is a healthy competition, unless you are scared to lose?” Lucas stepped closer to where we stood, pulling Serena along with him.

“I don't have time for this. I would like to see who would replace me” Knight snapped out before he pulled me out of the board room.

Before he could drag me to the office once more, I pulled my hand out of his grip.

“I would send you my resignation letter through mail” I stated, turning to walk away.

“Say that one more time, bunny and I would fuck you right against my office door for everyone to know you are mine” He gritted out, eyes glinting with promises of pleasure.

I swallowed, the arousal pooling between my legs making me press my thighs together.

This wasn't going to work. I had to leave as fast as possible before I fell into his trap once more.

“You don't need to do that. Just…let me go” I whispered brokenly. His nose flared as he took a step closer to me.

“Your lips say one thing while your scent tells another story, bunny” He let out as he pressed me against a wall faster than I could blink.
