Chapter 124 Trouble One After Another
After Samantha said that, the private room in the bar became very quiet.
Many people looked at Lily, some with expressions of enjoyment of the drama.
"I heard Lily offended someone from the business school on her first day."
"Yeah, I was there. Lily's attitude was so arrogant."
"People need to know their place, or they'll get in over their heads."
Samantha stared at Lily triumphantly. She wanted to humiliate Lily!
To let this hick know the price of crossing her!
To make Lily's life at school so miserable that she'd have no choice but to kneel and apologize!
Team captain Theron spoke up: "Ms. Harper, you and Lily must have some misunderstanding, but since we're all in the same club now, why not have a drink and call it even?"
Sophie quickly added, "Exactly. Lily, you should take the initiative to toast Ms. Harper and apologize."
"Unless she apologizes to me, I'll never forgive her!"
Samantha grabbed a glass of alcohol from the table and splashed it at Lily: "This is a little lesson for you! To teach you, this hick, what the difference between us means!"
Lily's face was covered in alcohol. She calmly wiped her face, her expression completely neutral.
"Lily, just listen to Theron and apologize."
Sophie felt pleased seeing this scene. She totally deserved it.
Theron handed Lily a glass: "Toast her first, with a better attitude."
Lily glanced at it and took the glass.
Theron's smile widened: "That's more like it. Now apologize to Ms. Harper!"
"When did I say I would apologize?"
Lily held the glass and poured it directly over Samantha's head.
Everyone in the room held their breath at this scene, not daring to make a sound.
Everyone knew Samantha was not to be messed with, but Lily actually dared to do this!
After Samantha recovered, she screamed: "You bitch, you're dead!"
Sophie snapped back to reality and quickly grabbed tissues for Samantha.
Sophie was shocked too. She didn't expect Lily to be so bold!
Lily dusted off her hands and said lightly, "You splashed me first. I'm just returning the favor."
She didn't want to stay here for dinner anymore. It was pointless.
Lily walked straight out of the private room. She headed to the restroom first. She should have known not to come.
What bad luck!
As Lily came out of the stall, she saw Sophie standing nearby.
Sophie said condescendingly, "Lily, you've offended Ms. Harper. You're finished this time. Even if David steps in, he might not be able to save you."
"You must be pleased with yourself, manipulating Samantha to come after me. What a clever way to use someone else to do your dirty work!"
"I don't know what you're talking about, but I do know you're in trouble. The Harper family will definitely hold you accountable!"
"I'll be waiting then."
Just as Lily turned to leave, Sophie suddenly raised her hand and sprayed something at her.
Lily smelled something fragrant but strange.
She quickly covered her nose and mouth, backing away two steps cautiously.
Only then did Samantha walk in from outside, with several bodyguards beside her: "Lily, you dared to splash me with alcohol. Then I'll arrange ten thugs for you, and let everyone see you being violated. Let's see how you can show your face at Quest University after that!"
Lily felt her face burning and her body losing strength.
She didn't expect Samantha to be this vicious!
She had been careless.
Lily looked down and saw a mop bucket nearby. She turned, grabbed the bucket, and threw it at Samantha.
Samantha screamed and backed away in fright, and all the bodyguards surrounded her.
Lily took this chance to run out.
"She's getting away."
Sophie was the first to notice and rushed forward to grab Lily's wrist.
But Lily broke free forcefully. She ran forward desperately, and in her panic, saw the elevator doors opening and rushed inside.
Lily leaned against the elevator wall. She bit her lip and pulled out her phone, but didn't know who to call.
"Over there, don't let her get away."
Lily was cornered at the end of the hallway. She looked back at the two bodyguards: "I've already called the police. They'll be here any minute."
"Even if God himself came, it wouldn't help."
"Miss, this isn't a place you should be. Come here now!"
Lily watched the two bodyguards approaching. She was practically leaning against the wall, or she wouldn't be able to stand steady.
At that moment, the door to a nearby private room opened.
Lily barely thought before rushing inside, then smashing the vase decorations: "I can pay for damages, but you have to let me go to the hospital first!"
Since those two bodyguards were so wary of this room, it meant the people inside had status and connections.
She smashed their things, so the important person would definitely demand compensation!
As long as she had some time, as long as she left this place, she'd be safe.
Lily had no strength left and practically sat down on the floor.
She could only see that there were several men in the room, and didn't even have the strength to lift her head.
"Lily, is that really you?"
Eric thought he'd heard wrong, but when he opened the door, a girl rushed in and even smashed the antique vase nearby!
Lily heard the familiar voice. She struggled to lift her head and saw Eric.
The next second, someone came to her and lifted her from the broken porcelain pieces.
Dennis felt both heartbroken and angry: "What happened?"
After hearing Dennis's voice, Lily laughed: "It's actually you guys."
Then she should be okay.
The next second, she looked at Dennis with grievance and complained, "Someone bullied me!"
Dennis noticed Lily reeked of alcohol, and her flushed face didn't look normal either. He could tell at a glance what situation she'd encountered.
His face instantly turned dark. He looked up toward the outside of the room.
Eric understood immediately: "Don't worry, I'll handle it. Everyone, come out with me!"
Eric thoughtfully brought the other two people out of the room as well.
Those two asked curiously: "Who's that girl?"
"Am I dreaming? Dennis actually has such a gentle side, and he's actually holding a girl!"
Eric coughed: "Don't ask what you shouldn't ask. There's something more important to deal with now."
Lily just went to a dinner party. How did it end up like this?
The two bodyguards said tentatively, "We're from the hotel. That girl owes us money. She was supposed to work as a drinking companion to pay off her debt, but she backed out and ran away."
After hearing this, Eric's face turned cold: "Watch your mouth. Is she someone you can slander?"
So dishonest. Better beat them up first before talking.
Inside the room.
Lily reached out and hugged Dennis tightly, even nuzzling his neck.
Dennis held her hands down: "What exactly happened? Didn't I already tell you not to drink outside?"
"Are you yelling at me?"
Lily looked at him with red-rimmed eyes, looking very wronged.
Dennis immediately lost his temper and said patiently, "I'm concerned about you!"
"Sophie set me up. She sprayed something on me that made my whole body hot and weak."
Hearing Lily's words, Dennis confirmed his earlier suspicion.
He took off his jacket, wrapped Lily in it, held her in his arms, and left the room.
Eric was stepping on the two bodyguards, his voice cold: "These two are lying and won't say whose men they are."
Dennis radiated a dark aura, like the grim reaper himself.
