Chapter 84 – A Secret Plan

"I know where she is," Alex said.

"Where?" Wilson raised an eyebrow, surprised.

"She is at my house." Alex said and then told Uncle Wilson everything.

Wilson sighed as he heard the whole story.

"Then what are you planning to do? How are you going to bring out the truth?"

"I think she wants to marry me only for my money. If I don't have it, she will let me go."

"What do you mean by that?" Wilson furrowed his eyebrows, confused. "Are you planning on donating all your money or something?"

"Yes. I'm going to do Something like that." Alex smiled.

"And this Saturday, I'm going to marry her. I would like to invite you, Aunt Laura, and Leo to my wedding. She would be happy to see all of you there."

"Are you really going to marry her?" Wilson asked, wondering what was going on In Alex's mind.

Alex shook his head. "It's just part of my plan. But I really need you and Laura Auntie’s help, so I hope I see both of you at my wedding."

Wilson nodded. "Alright. We will come and do what we can do."

***

Alex was sitting in his office, staring blankly at the pen in his hand.

The office door opened, and Emily entered the office. She saw that Alex hadn't noticed her yet, so she quietly walked to him and wrapped her arms around his neck from behind.

Alex came out of his thoughts as he felt the sudden touch and looked up, only to find Emily smiling at him.

"What are you doing?" Alex grabbed Emily's hand and brought her in front of him.

"I saw you looking worried, so I just thought to hug you to make all your worries go away." Emily smiled. "But does it work?"

"Of course it does," Alex said, pulling Emily into his lap.

"Why are you doing this? The last time you did it, we were caught. I don't want to get caught again." Emily tried to get up, but Alex wrapped his arms around her and hugged her. He put his chin on her shoulder and closed his eyes.

"Why are you suddenly hugging me like this? Is everything okay?" Emily asked, worried.

Alex shook his head and said, "I'm going to get married this Saturday."

Emily raised her head from Alex's shoulder and looked at him. "We are marrying this Saturday, and I don't even know about it." Emily looked totally shocked and confused.

Alex shook his head and then took a deep sigh. He didn't know how to tell Emily about this. "Well, see, it's just a plan. I'm not really going to marry."

"Why don't you want to marry me? What plan are you talking about?"

Alex sighed again and put his face into her small shoulder as he said, "I and Natasha are getting married this Saturday."

For a second, Emily's mind didn't even register those words, but once it did, she laughed, which Alex didn't expect.

Emily said, smiling and laughing at Alex, "Is it some kind of joke?" while tears started shimmering in her eyes.

"I'm not, but listen to me first. Actually, it's just a -"

Emily suddenly released herself from Alex's embrace and got up from his lap.

"Are you crazy?" Emily asked, her fists tightly clenched in anger. "How can you say that? No, I won't let this happen. I won't let you marry her," she declared, ready to break someone's face, and if it were Natasha, it would be best.

"How can you do that to me?" Emily grabbed Alex's collar. "I'm not the kind of girl who will let you go easily. When you said you loved me, there was no way back from that moment. Do you understand?" Emily glared at Alex.

"It's not what you are thinking. I'm not really going to marry Natasha."

"Then explain to me what it is." Emily took a step back from Alex and said.

Alex took a deep sigh before explaining everything to Emily.

"What? So, to convince your parents that she is only after your money, you are going to pretend to marry her. But what if she didn't tell the truth? What if your fake wedding turns out to be true? What will I do then?" Emily looked devastated.

"Listen." Alex got up from the chair and took a step towards Emily. He lightly touched her shoulder and continued explaining, "It won't happen. If my first plan fails, I have a second. And if neither of those works out, I will call off the wedding. No matter what, I'm never going to marry anyone other than you. You are the only one I love," Alex said as he hugged Emily.

Emily leaned her head onto Alex's chest, not knowing what to say now. She believed in him, but she was so afraid of losing him.

Emily raised her head and said, "If you try to cheat on me, I will kill you." Tears were beginning to form in the corners of her eyes, and Alex knew he had once again hurt her.

"I'm sorry," Alex said, brushing off Emily’s tears. "I won't hurt you again. Please forgive me just for this once." He cupped her face and looked into her eyes.

"What are you saying? You didn't hurt me. I'm just angry with you." Emily once again put her head on Alex's chest and hugged him.

"Boss, did you call me?" Suddenly, Nelson opened the door and asked. But as his eyes fell on the two people hugging each other, he slowly took a step back and tried to close the door, but Alex stopped him.

"Why do you always come at the wrong time?" Alex asked without turning to Nelson.

"And why are you two doing this in the office?" Nelson once again entered the office. "You know what, You two make me jealous that you two can do this in the office and I can’t. If only Shelly’s desk were in my office, it would be great."

Emily retreated from Alex and said, "If that were to happen, then instead of working, you two would be doing everything."

"Ha-ha. You are jealous because you two can't do that," Nelson said, grinning.

"What are you two talking about?" Alex asked, looking at Emily and Nelson.

"Nothing. But tell me, why did you call me? I have a lot of work to do," Nelson said, seating himself on the chair in front of Alex's desk.

Alex placed a kiss on Emily's forehead before he walked back to his desk, and Emily went to hers.

Alex sat down at his desk and told Nelson that he was marrying Natasha.

Nelson was puzzled as to why Alex was suddenly marrying Natasha, but then Alex explained everything to Nelson.

"Oh, okay. But what do you want from me? I mean, why are you telling me all this? Do I also have a role in it?" Nelson raised an eyebrow.

Alex nodded. He looked at Emily and said, "You have to take care of her while I'm solving Natasha's matter. I'm worried that she won’t be okay."

Emily looked up from the papers she was working on and said, "Don't worry. Already, a lot of things have happened. This won’t shake me. But if you really marry her, I'm going to turn your life upside down." Emily warned Alex.

Alex and Nelson both started laughing.

Alex smiled and said," I promise I won’t marry her. You are the only person I want to spend my whole life with."

" Really?" Emily gave Alex a cute smile.

"Of course." Alex smiled back at Emily.

Nelson shook his head, seeing them smiling at each other like that.

"You two smile at each other; I'm going." Nelson said, rising from the chair. "And don’t worry, I will take care of her. After all, she is my friend." Nelson smiled at Alex.

"Thank you." Alex said, and Nelson nodded at Alex before walking out of the room, leaving the two lovebirds alone.
