Chapter 83 – Reunited with Uncle Wilson
Alex was sitting in the waiting area at the airport and messaging Emily.
Alex: I'm going to Australia. I will come back tomorrow.
Emily: What? Why are you suddenly going to Australia?
Emily: Are you going there to meet someone?
Alex: Actually, I have a friend in Australia.
Emily: Oh, okay.
Emily: By the way, is there something you want to tell me about? Is everything alright?
'Why is she asking that? Has Nelson told her anything?' Alex wondered as he read that message.
Alex: Yup. Everything is alright. But why are you asking?
Emily: Nothing. I just thought. You are suddenly going to Australia, so...
Alex: Don’t worry. Everything is fine.
Alex: Okay, I should go now. My flight is about to depart soon. I need to get to my seat.
Emily: Okay, bye then. Love you.
Emily: *Lots of kissing Faces.*
Alex smiled as he read the message.
Alex: love you. Bye.
Alex sent the last message and turned off the phone before putting it in his pocket.

The flight boarded, and Alex emerged from it. He headed towards the airport, and there he scanned the area for someone that might have been sent by Uncle Wilson, Natasha’s father. He had already called Uncle Wilson yesterday and informed him of his arrival.
As Alex came out of the airport, he saw a man standing near the car with a big piece of paper that had Alex's name written on it.
Alex walked up to that man and asked if Mr. Wilson sent him.
"Yes sir." The driver happily greeted Alex and opened the door for him to sit in.
As Alex sat down, the driver also sat down in the car and drove away from the airport.
"Is Uncle Wilson at home?" Alex asked the driver while typing something on his mobile.
"Yes. After he found out that you were coming, he canceled all his meetings, and today he is staying at home." The driver told.
Alex smiled to hear it. He remembered when he was a kid and Uncle Wilson lived next door to his house. He used to go to his house to play. He was always kind to him and treated him like his own son.
Within fifteen minutes, the car reached Uncle Wilson's house, and Alex came out of the car.
Alex entered Inside and was greeted by a big and luxurious house.
Alex smiled as he saw lots of antique pieces on the wall. "It seems Uncle Wilson still likes antiques," Alex said to himself.
"Oh wow. Look who has come," a man in his fifties said, coming downstairs. There was a huge smile on his face.
"Uncle Wilson," Alex smiled and walked towards Uncle Wilson before they gave each other a tight hug.
"Look how much you have changed. You look so handsome." Uncle Wilson smiled.
"Thank you so much. You look good, too." Alex smiled back.
After a few minutes, Alex and Wilson were sitting in the living room, drinking tea, and talking.
"So, what was it? You said that you had something important to say to me when you called me yesterday. What is it?" Wilson asked and took a sip of his tea.
"Actually, it's about..." Alex paused for a moment and put his cup down on the table. He didn't know how to bring that up with Uncle Wilson. Natasha was his daughter, and he wouldn't like it if he said anything bad about her.
"Why are you suddenly silent? Say it?" Wilson looked at Alex, wondering what it could be that Alex was hesitant to say.
"You always talked to me so frankly. So what is making you hesitant this time? Don't you trust your Uncle Wilson anymore?"
Alex smiled and said, "It's not like that. But what I'm going to say to you, maybe you won’t like it. I'm afraid that it will hurt you, and I don’t want that. I don’t want you to hate me."
"Don’t worry, just say it. Won’t you regret it if you go back without telling me? Moreover," Wilson paused for a second before continuing, "there is already so much that has happened in my life that I think now nothing can hurt me." He took a last sip of the tea from the cup and put the empty cup on the table.
"What do you mean?" Alex was confused.
"Nothing. Let's talk while taking a stroll." Uncle Wilson got up from the couch, and Alex also got up.
They both came out in the backyard and started walking side by side.
"Isn't this good? The fresh air and beautiful flowers. These things always make me happy," Uncle Wilson said as he looked at the flowers in the backyard.
Alex nodded in agreement. "It's good to take a break from busy life and enjoy nature. But sometimes life doesn't give us the time to do it."
"Yeah, that's true." Uncle Wilson nodded.
"So, you want to talk about it now? I thought you were feeling uncomfortable talking inside the house because there were servants, but there are none. You can talk freely."
Alex shook his head. "I wasn’t silent because of that. Actually, it’s about Natasha-“
As Alex said Natasha's name, Wilson stopped walking right there.
"Why are you saying her name in front of me? I hate to even hear her name!" Wilson looked mad.
Alex had never seen Uncle Wilson angry before. There was always a gentle smile on his face. But seeing him like this now, Alex felt like he was seeing another person.
"Are you alright?" Alex asked worriedly as he saw Uncle Wilson start breathing heavily.
Wilson took a deep breath and quickly took out his inhaler from his pants pocket before spraying it in his mouth.
Alex took a sigh of relief as he saw Uncle Wilson slowly calm down.
"Are you alright now? Should we go to the doctor?" Alex asked, still worried.
Wilson shook his head. " No. I'm alright. It sometimes happens." He said and took Alex towards the chairs in the backyard.
They both sat down on the chairs and then Mr. Wilson spoke, "So what was it? What were you going to talk about, Natasha?"
"I don’t want to say it anymore," Alex said in a low voice.
'Just hearing her name, you started breathing heavily. I wonder what will happen if I tell you what she did. I don’t want to see you sick.’
Uncle Wilson took a deep breath before saying, "Sorry for what happened just now. I know you are worried for me, but it will give me more stress if you don't tell me what you want to say. And especially since it’s related to Natasha, I'm worried even more."
"Then first, would you like to tell me about Natasha? Why do you not even like to hear her name? Just what happened between you two?" Alex looked up at Uncle Wilson.
Wilson took a deep breath before starting to tell Alex everything.
"Until two months ago, everything was fine. But then, I don't know how she found out that she was adopted."
" Adopted? Who?" Alex was confused—what was Uncle Wilson suddenly talking about? He asked him to tell him about Natasha, then why he was talking about adoption. And about whose adoption he was talking about?
" Natasha. She is adopted." Uncle Wilson said.
"What!" Alex was shocked. "I didn’t know about it." He was there to find solutions to his problems, but he didn’t know that he would find something like that there.
"Nobody knew about it. Actually, Natasha is the daughter of Laura's (Wilson's wife and Natasha's mom's) sister. After Natasha's parents died in a car accident, Laura thought to adopt her. At that time, Natasha was only two. She was so cute and innocent." Wilson smiled as he recalled old times. "I and Laura made great memories with her. We never felt like she wasn’t our real daughter. She was such a good girl. But then..."
"Then? What happened then?" Alex raised his eyebrows.
"When she found out that she was adopted, she asked me to sign all my property in her name. I didn’t have a problem with it; after all, she was my daughter. But then, I have a son too. I can’t give everything to her and leave nothing for Leo. Laura didn’t agree with it either. She was worried about Leo and his future."
"How could she demand something like that?" Alex furrowed his eyebrows.
"I think she was afraid that because she is adopted, I wouldn't give her anything," Wilson told Alex, explaining what he felt was a possible reason behind Natasha's doing that.
"How could she think that way? I know how nice you and Laura Aunty were with her." Alex said.
Wilson nodded and said, "Sometimes, it's hard to understand human behaviour. I think it was a shock to her when she suddenly found out that we weren't her real parents. Anyone would be shocked, but what she did was extreme. She shouldn't have done that."
"What did she do? Did she do anything else besides ask for all the property?" Alex asked.
Wilson nodded. "She tried to kill Leo."
" What!" Alex was shocked to hear that. He couldn’t believe his ears. “Are you... telling the truth?"
Wilson nodded, "If Laura hadn't stopped Natasha that day, she would have really killed Leo; he still has a knife cut on his neck."
"But why did she do that?" Alex was confused. Why would anyone try to kill a family member? What would she get from it?
"Because that way, all the property would be hers after her brother dies."
Alex was surprised to hear that.
"Laura was so mad at her that, for the first time in her life, she slapped Natasha. She told her that she didn't want to see her anymore and that she should get out of the house. Natasha was angry, too, so she left the house and hasn't come back since then."
"Have you tried to find out where she is now?" Alex asked after a moment of silence.
"Yes, we called everyone we knew: her friends, every relative; we called everyone, but nobody knew about her. Then we also filed a missing person report for her with the police, but they couldn't find her either. Nobody knows where she is now."
