Draven
The room went silent as Shannon turned toward me looking shocked. Having a child being a vampire was crazy enough but to have twins. That was even more rare. I looked at Shannon then to Natalia who was still bleeding. Elysium put another bag of blood to hang. They needed more blood or something stronger to give her. I watched as Shannon helped my daughter come into the world. Both infants lay in there bed. Holding each other, as Shannon tried to save Natalia. I turned when I heard a gasp from the door. I hadn't noticed her mother and father come into the room.
"Oh god." Her mother covered her mouth as she watched what was happening.
"None of that." I almost growled out at her.
"Draven, I hate to suggst this but I think we need to give her some of mine or your blood." My mother whispered to me. I need to feed and there was no way I could help at this point. "Your blood would be stronger than mine at this point."
I watched as she went over to the bed, when she cut her wrist with the scapel Shannon handed her. The way the blood dropped onto Natalia's face, then she lowed her hand to her mouth. After a moment Natalia started drinking the blood in gulps. After a few of those gulps she looked around to see what was happening. Mother pulled her arm away holding it to her chest. Elysium handed her a bag of blood. The room seemed to explode with sound all at once. The twins started screaming, Natalia screamed as pain lanced through her. I went to her side holding her hand.
"What happened?" Natalia asked as she looked around the room. She saw the babies in the bed. "Twins!"
"Not only did you get pregnant, but you had twins. That is very rare. When I say rare it only happened maybe twice." I told her pushing the hair out of her face.
"I can't understand. How did I have twins when I wasn't pregnant." Natalia looked at Draven then toward the babies.
"Wait, what?" I looked at her then to Shannon. "How can she not recall being pregnant?"
"Draven, it can happen. She should still bound with the babies." My mother put a hand on mine.
Shannon finished cleaning Natlaia up taking the bloody sheets and towles out of the room. She took it all to the incenarator to burn it away. Elyisum went with her to make sure it all got burned.
I went to the crib pulling it over to Natalia. Lifting the little boy up I helped her hold him close to her chest. When I pick up our little girl I smiled. She had my hair with her mothers eyes. Where her brother had Natalia's hair and my eyes. I looked down to Natalia holding the baby close.
"So we need names for these little ones." I told her with a bright smile.
"Raven for the little girl." Natalia told me with a bright smile.
"How about Lucian?" I offered with a looked toward her.
"I love it and them." Natalia smiled brightly as Lucian's eyes opened to look at them. "How do they feed? Milk? Blood?"
"Natalia they can take both, normally a vampire mother would feed them via breast. They bite the nipple getting the blood as well." My mother spoke from beside her bed.
"Doesn't that hurt like hell?" Natalia asked with a frown.
"We do what we have to make the babies strong." She notted with a smile.
"Well I can pump and add the blood to the bottles." Natalia told her with a bright smile. "You are stronger than me on that one."
That made us all laugh both grandma's held the babies then spoke with each other. I was shocked when Natalia's mother said she wanted to have a house in the communitny. This was our life and we had love in our lives. Our families that shouldn't have worked as one did. The line had been changed and I was over joyed by that. After a few days we would finally be able to go home. The worry was that the babies couldn't be in the sunlight. Elysium didn't want to test them just yet. Not wanting to upset them and have them hate doctors. Shannon offered to come stay at the house to help Natalia with the change with the babies.
5 years later
It had taken five years, five long years to get everything built for the community. It was thriving right now and it brought us all hope. This would be the frist of many in the world. I wanted to help vampires to get the help with a coven. We did have a few shifters, a werewolf and I believe at least two fae. We didn't really ask what they where. We wanted them to feel at home here. We did add an underground shopping area that had added to our time table. The twins had grown so fast over the lat five years. Unlike humans we grow faster so they might be five years old, but they where the size of a small teen. Luican was so like me, it was insane. I looked at him but saw his mother in his face. Smiles on his face would always bright smiles to others. Raven on the other hand was so like her mother, but had to looks I did at that age. They went to school with the other kids. It was part of the reason for the underground.To be sure that kids still learned as they grew. They would know friendship and love. Vampires had trouble being around humans at a young age. They have to learn to control there thrist.
"They are so big, so independant. I miss the babies. Holding them while they cried needing me. I feel so unwanted with them now. It isn't true of course they both love me. It is just hard that I only got about a year with them as babies. Where as humans would still being caring for them at this age." Natalia watched as the twins went off to the shopping area.
"They will always have someone on there team no matter what." I told her pulling her close to me. "We could always try for more."
I didn't see the smack coming when Natalia swung hitting on on the back of his head. They both laughed because they didn't really want to put her through that again. Seeing her that way had almost killed him and he didn't want to see it again.
