We are doing this
I shook my head as I looked into her eyes. Laying next to her on the bed I took her pale hand and kissed the back of it, letting my fangs run over her palm. I could feel her shiver and loved her more for it. Wait…I loved her? When did I come to this thought? Maybe it was that she would be around forever…Or maybe it was because I had turned her. No it was more that I loved the way she was…the woman she happen to be. I didn’t want to lose her no matter what. So I would try my best to find a way to educate her about her new life.
“We can’t tell her that you are alive yet. The attack was caught on tape, and if they see you walking about without a mark they might think it was a joke. We can’t have them thinking that those two killed all those people. Though it would be a good scap goat.” I told her as I kissed her hand.
“I believe they did try and kill me…Well they did kill me in truth. They should both be in jail. I know you happen to be paying them to take those people and yes most of them would never be missed. I just hope they didn’t mistake someone else and end up hurting them.” She told me as she thought it through.
“So we are in agreement about having them be the reason so many died. I just hope that you will give the test a chance. One other thing that you might want to know is that Vampires can have children. I didn’t know if that was important to you or not.”I could tell by the shocked look on her face that she had written it off.
Having children is normally important for women but not men. I wanted children, but only with the right woman. I was rather sure that Natalia was that woman. I wasn’t sure if I should introduce her to my mother though, she wanted me to marry a royal. I hated all of them; they wanted nothing more than to eat all the humans. I on the other hand wanted to try and save them from the evil that could lurk in vampire’s hearts.
“I..I..Never thought I would want kids till I thought I wouldn’t be able to have them.” She told me honestly.
A knock at the door told me that the good doctor was back. I do hope she brought the clothes I asked her to get. I opened the door and she entered the room with a rather large bag of clothes. With a nod I told her to give them to Natalia. When the bag was in front of her she shrieked and vanished into the bathroom. I couldn’t help but laugh at the way she acted about the clothes. I knew her sizes and the best designers where on my pay roll.
“Did you talk to her about the test?” Elysium-Rose asked with a tentative smile.
“Yes I have, she has to make up her mind about what she wants to do. I will not force her to do it. Have you had a chance to call Bastien and Ellie about the humans?” I had given there names and numbers because they had the most humans around.
“Yes, they are both willing to send two humans. Bastien has two females that have wanted to be turned but he didn’t want to deal with them. Ellie is willing to give a male and female who want to marry and turn. We just have to find a vampire to turn them.” She explained it all to him.
“They will turn them before they come or find a younger vampire to turn them. I will not be the vampire turning all these humans. Who did you use for the others?” I told her not wanting to sire that many people.
“Neither are willing to turn them. I even said that you made it a demand and they both still said no. I didn’t think of having a younger vampire do it. As for the others, Bob had a vampire who did it. I don’t trust him to turn these four though. Do you know a vampire who would be willing to do this?” Elysium asked looking worried that it would all fall apart already.
I had to think about it, I did know something that would do it just to see the pain they went through. I hated to call her though; she wasn’t the nicest of vampires. She was of royal blood though. Sydney was far from sweet, or kind. After her husband had been killed she went a little crazy.
“I will give her a call. Not too sure if she will answer or not.” I told her with a sigh, Sydney wasn't someone I called unless I had too.
She nodded and left the room, I sighed watching the bathroom door. I could hear the bag being rummaged through and oh’s and ah’s as she picked through the clothes. A smile slide into place I picked up my cell phone. I punched in the number and listened to the ring.
Draven’s Home above the Labs
Sydney had said she would come and turn the four, which she wanted to see my woman. The turning had her calling the one woman that drove him completely insane. She would arrive within the next two hours or so, just so happened she had been in Florida to visit with one of her many, I mean many turned children. She really was an incredible woman; just she had a temper that normally ended in bloodshed.
“So should I tell you what I have decided about the test?” Nat told me as she walked toward me.
I turned to see Natalia standing in the door frame; her arms across her ample breast. With a raised eyebrow I nodded wondering if I wanted to hear what she is going to tell me. The labs were under a house more like a castle really that I had built. It had many rooms for the guest that might or might not show up at a moment’s notice. Vampires needed safe houses when the sun came up. The rocks gave relief from the summer heat, which is why I had the house built into the rock. This was one of many outside of the city, not many came here unless they were traveling already. The shade from the rocks help make it to where we could walk around a few hours before or after the sun went up or down. I liked that I could work a little longer if needed, my office was on the inner walls of the house. The front room of the house had floor length windows that looked out over the large yard and lot of trees. The land I had cleared to allow the house to be built. I did love trees, but I didn’t want too many near the house.
