Welp..Blood needed
“You can have contact with them until they start to notice that you aren’t ageing. Then you will have to move on or hide from them. I know that sounds a little childish, but it is the way it is. If they notice you don’t age then you have to explain.” I explained but she didn't seem happy.
“I could say that I have had surgery…” Nat told him with a huff.
“That will give you an extra two years or so, but not much. Most humans don’t want to know we are real. Hence why my business has changed names and owners over the years, but it is always me.” I tell her with a weak smile.
“I see, is that how you’re so rich?” Nat asked not that she cared about the money.
“Partly…But in my long life I have made some good investments and sold some treasures from the past.” I tell her as I try to tell her everything.
“I see, and just how old are you?” Nat asked the one question I didn't want to answer.
“Well I’m well…” I was saved from answering.
Thankfully a banging on the door saved me from answering the question. I tucked myself away and covered Natalia. After a moment I opened the door and gave the good doctor a nod into the room.
“Natalia this is Elysium-Rose Diamante. She is the head doctor here and wants to see if you would like to help us.” I introduced them as I looked down the bed noticing that I needed to cover us. With a quick move the sheet fell on top of both of us.
“I really adore your name. Wait…What?” Natalia looked between me and the doctor.
“Natalia you are a new turn and having been turned by Draven you have some unique qualities to your blood. We have been trying to merge nano tech with bio medical to help vampires to go out in the sun and maybe even eat at some point. I would love to see if you would be..well…a..umm.” Elysium-Rose spoke with the knowledge of her position.
“You want me to be a guinea pig?” Nat point a point on what she was saying.
“Well if you want to put it that way..Yes.” Elysium said with a chuckle.
“What are the side effects?” Nat asked wanting all the information.
“Some of them can be harmful, but not long lasting. You see most vampires would reject the nanos right away if they where to fail. The most serious issue you might have is throwing up. The blood would want to clean out the system.” Elysium-Rose told her with worry written on her face. I knew she wasn’t telling her everything.
Something told me that she didn’t want me to know everything just yet. So I nodded, not really wanting to be here. Something about this doctor called to Nat. A sweet smell that she wanted so badly she could almost taste it. The shifting in her mouth told her that her fangs had come out. She slapped her hand over her mouth and looked at me with terror in her eyes.
“It might be best for you to leave…NOW. Send in the driver from earlier.” I told her as she looked at Nat then to me.
Elysium didn’t ask questions, just turned and left the room. In truth she made it hard for me to stay in the bed. I wanted to go after her, the sweet smell left with her Natalia groaned. Another sweet smell entered the room with a tint of fear in it. Natalia didn’t really know how she knew the man was scared but it teased her senses. She looked him in the eyes the next thing she knew is the man was leaning over her bed with his neck showing. Natalia didn’t even think she just struck. Her teeth sliding into his neck to taste his blood rushing into her mouth. She groaned into his neck and took from this man that had killed her.
“Natalia, enough…” I told her with a touch of sire power.
She pulled away from the man and he fell to the floor. She didn’t care that he hit the floor she was rather sure something broke. Natalia looked at me and wanted to cry, she hated the fact that she might have killed that man if it hadn’t been for me. She pushed her red hair out of her face to take in the room she was sitting in. It only had a bed, medical equipment and a chair. Nothing more than that, a TV was mounted on the wall but didn’t seem to have any power running to it.
“You are a new turn; the blood lust is going to control much of your life. Another thing we are hoping the nanos will help to control. If you don’t want to take the blood from humans we can give you the bag stuff. I have to say the warm blood is much better, it has the hint of their emotions in it. Our labs are still working on bottled or caned blood, but so far it isn’t very good.” I told her scrunching up my nose.
“Have you tried putting in flavors? I’m no lab tech or anything but if you could find a way add flavor or mix it with something else it might taste better. Get all the blood affects and get the taste of beer or chocolate.” She told me dusting her shirt off.
The look I gave her was shocked, and I couldn’t seem to find a way to not be shocked that we hadn’t thought of that. So many vampires wanted to taste food again and if you mixed blood with it…Maybe…Just maybe. I would have to talk to the lab guys and see what they could do.
“You really are amazing…I never thought of that. Do you want to help with the test?”
“I think I would like to help, but I really need some clothes. I don’t want to lay here half nude…well maybe for a little while as long as you’re with me.” She gave me a wink and I couldn’t help but smile. “I need to let my mother know I am ok…right?”
