Chapter 85

Grey relaxed in his office when his secretary knocked on his door lightly.

"Yes?"

The lady walked in and smiled a little. "Someone is here to see you, Mr. Greg."

Greg smirked. He sincerely hoped it was this so-called agent. He wanted to know how and why a fully grown man would have some superpower.

"Where is he?" Greg asked. "Bring him up, let him in."

The lady left, and as soon as she came out of the office, she noticed Landon standing in the hallway there. Seeing him in a fitted shirt, leaning on the wall, she began to feel something towards him. Landon was a handsome man, and he caught ladies' fancy wherever he went. This one was not an exception.

"Sir, might I know what you want to see my boss for? I could help you and save your time, you know?" She said this, waggling her brows.

Landon chuckled a little. "It's alright; I can handle it myself."

"I'm just trying to help because he might not exactly give in to you." She stated it with a shrug. "At least I could tell you if it is something he would listen to you for. You look too important to waste such time."

Landon smirked. "Can I see him now, miss?"

The lady saw that Landon was unable to be moved. She resigned herself to fate. She was hoping that when he was done with her boss, he would have her time. She smiled sadly and pointed him to the door.

Landon took a deep breath and exhaled softly. He didn't know what he was going to say first, and all he wanted was to find his sister and get out of the place. He had no business with whoever had kidnapped her, except the man began to say things that would rile him up. But for now, his goal was one thing: find his sister.

Well, maybe two. To find his sister and escape alive. He wondered what kind of kidnapper would take the victim to such a huge company.

"Sir, are you going in?" The secretary asked, reminding him that he still stood outside the door. Landon glanced at her over his shoulder and finally placed his hand over the cold metal doorknob.

He pushed it and opened the door. The face that came into his view was nothing like what was expected. The man was someone he hadn't expected to see. Not that he knew him by any chance, but he kept wondering within himself why such an old man would kidnap his sister. And not just why, but how.

"If this kind of thing could happen, it could only mean that this man has some connections with a mafia gang. That is the only way he can pull such a stunt as an old man." Landon observed the situation within himself, and after making that discovery, he let out a confident smile. He wasn't going to show this man that he had figured anything out.

All he came for was his sister, and if the man began to pull any such stunts, he would first try to make it out of the place alive.

Greg stared at the man who had walked into his office. The man looked a lot familiar, but he knew that he didn't know him. He watched him closely, as if trying to assess him and spot any visible difference from regular human nature. Somehow, he hoped that Santino and his gang hadn't tricked him, because he would wipe them out completely.

"Good evening, sir." Landon greeted. "My name is Pierre." He wasn't so keen on revealing his true and proper identity. After all, this man could be more dangerous than Santino.

Greg observed the confidence that emanated from Landon. He liked it a lot, so he smiled. "Welcome, Mr. Pierre. Please call me Greg."

Landon nodded and took a seat, even without being asked. Greg saw it and smiled even wider.

"And to what do I owe this impromptu visit? I'm not so sure that I know you." Greg stated. Landon was busy trying not to look around the office. He wanted to know the possible places Rose could have been kept.

Greg noticed the young man's curiosity, and as Landon turned to the side, his neck got exposed, and Greg saw a faint mark there. He squinted his eyes at the mark, and he observed it closely. He recognized that mark anywhere, and he quickly turned on his computer, instantly bringing Landon's attention to himself.

"Sorry for my inquisitiveness, but I'm here to pick up my sister." Landon said it bravely. "Facts state that she was last seen with you. I'm not going to go all out and directly call it broad daylight kidnapping, but I'm simply asking that you return her."

Greg chuckled. "Such a brave young man you are to waltz into my office and accuse me of kidnapping."

"I didn't accuse you of kidnapping, but if the buckled show fits, then feel free to wear it." Landon said.

Greg chuckled again. "Who is your sister? I mean, I don't even know who you are!"

Landon narrowed his eyes at the man. He knew that the man was playing hard to get, but he also didn't want to make a ruckus because he had observed this man and could sense danger approaching. He would leave for now, but he would surely return to get his sister.

"You mean to say that you do not have my sister?" Landon asked, cocking one of his brows upward. "Hm, I find this quite unbelievable because all signs point to here. Might I also say that that mobile resting beneath your palm belongs to her?"

Greg's eyes dropped to the phone he had placed his hand on. Maybe Landon was smarter than he thought. He smirked.

"And did the producers of the phone tell you that they made only one piece for your sister?" Greg fired back. "Do you know who I am?"

Landon stared at the man before him, and he scowled. The man stared as if he knew him. He heard his telecom buzz in his ear. Martin was definitely trying to reach out to him.

"Leave," Martin said.

Landon sprang up from the chair, and without another word, he walked out of the office.
