Chapter 78 Anxiously awaiting
Ana did not find anyone suspicious but after what Emiliano said she will keep a close watch.
“The fact that you still have this face won’t make him stop. Who knows what else he is planning, I do not think he is going to rest until he proves that you are Ana ” Emiliano said.
Ana was silent and thought to herself. There is no way he can prove it unless he opens the grave he supposedly buried her in and have the body there examined in order to know that she is really Ana and that he had buried someone else.
Ana laughed at the impossibility. But she suddenly stopped laughing when she remembered his threat yesterday. He had said that he is capable of doing anything and how he wants it. So is it possible that he will bring out a dead body to verify if it was her? Doing so is inhuman but he is Fernando Buenavista.
“What are you thinking?
Ana smiled and shaked her head “I’m just thinking of the meeting we just had. It seems we have to reschedule another date for the meeting since this one did not go well” she immediately changed the topic.
Emiliano noticed she changed the topic and did not understand why. But he went with the flow.
A week went back without Fernando contacting or disturbing her.
It was finally the day of Emiliano's inauguration as the new headquarters CEO of the Blanco group of companies.
All major share others gathered in the large room.
Reporters were outside the large company building to interview and cover stories for the inauguration.
The reporters gathered in front of the car that just arrived. They took a picture as Rita blanco, Emiliano’s step mother and his two step siblings stepped out of the car.
They took pictures of them while some reporters asked them questions as they headed into the company building.
“Mrs Blanco, how do you feel about your step son taking the position of his late father? Do you feel your son here deserves it more since the other is an illegitimate child?” The reporter asked.
“We heard you tried to sue him to prevent him from taking the position. Is that true and why?” Another reporter asked.
Rita said nothing and only glared and her two children frowned at the reporters.
The only reason they were here is because as share holders they needed to be here.
The reporters looked ahead for when the new CEO would arrive and when they saw a white maybach approaching they rushed towards it and started taking pictures.
The bodyguards opened the door and Emiliano stepped out with his well tailored suit. He stretched his hand and helped Ana step out of the car.
She was putting on a feminine black suit with a skirt that stopped at her kneel level.
The reporters all gathered them and took pictures.
“Wow, Mr Emiliano Blanco you are looking so good and so is your business partner. How do you feel about today?” A reporter asked.
“Great, I’m happy to take on my fathers legacy”
“What do you think about the negative comments of people callinga you an illegitimate child?”the same reporter asked.
“I'm not worried about what people say, as the first child and son of my father this is by birthright” Emiliano said.
“Apart from being business partners, do you and Miss Ana Del Rio have a romantic relationship” Another reporter asked.
Emiliano looked at Ana and did not know what to say. He is hoping that in the near future that he will be able to tell her how he feels and hope they will be able to have a romantic relationship.
Everything was being aired live so Fernando was in his office watching the news. He had frowned when he saw that Ana had accompanied him to his inauguration and the way Emiliano had held her hand made him annoyed for no reason. When the reporter asked that question he anticipated to hear Emiliano’s response or Miss Del Rio's response.
Ana smiled at the reporter and she shaked her head “We do not have a romantic relationship. Like you said he is my business partner and also I take him as my elder brother” Ana said.
Emiliano formed a smile on his face even if being her brother is not what he wanted. He always wanted to be something more.
They headed into the company without responding to another question.
Fernando was satisfied with her response. But then he thought about what she said,that he was her elder brother.
Ana had made that same statement the past and it sounds so familiar.
The only thing left for him to prove that this was the Ana he knew was the forensic report. Very soon he will get to know if who he had buried was Ana or not.
The forensic pathologist had informed him that the result will be out in a few days so he was patiently waiting.
Right now, he wanted so much that the person he was seeing on his screen was the Ana he knew, the Ana he thought was dead. He hoped that the Ana he knew had not died.
If this was the Ana he knew then it means her child was his. That will explain why she looks
Fernando thought to himself, he has never in his life anxiously waited and hoped for something this much.
