Chapter 25 Like She Was His Real Wife
“Did I just hear you well, what did you just say” Ana asked to be sure she had rights.
“I said the young master made sure they uprooted and threw away all the rose plant”
Ana was shocked yet again “But I am only allergic to red roses. Why did he remove all the other roses!! Ana half yelled. Thank God nobody else was around to hear them.
Paula sighed “I do not know why he did that, maybe he just wants to take extra measures to make sure what happen that day will not happen again”
Ana looked at the field and sighed sadly. She knew it was her fault that this happened but even at that, he shouldn’t have cut down all the roses that she is not allergic to.
Ana spent the rest of her day discussing with her parents about the new business they were going to start. Opening a business in Madrid can look easy at first but one will end up going through long process. She plans on opening a fabric store. They will start medium and grow large in time.
As someone who loves fashion one thing that is eye catchy to her is the fabric that is used. Ana visualized top designers sorting fabrics from them one day in the future.
They will start by selling top quality fabrics and with time they will make signature fabrics for brands in the future. Ana had a big vision. Another business she will venture into will be jewelries. She loves jewelry but starting a jewelry brand for high quality is expensive for her right now.
After discussing with her parents about it, they loved the business. Her mother knows her to make dresses so she might make dresses on the side for customers that want them.
Ana saw the excitement on her parents face. She has never seen them so excited about something before. They were excited about the house she bought but this business made them more excited, maybe because they were proud she was putting her money into something that will bring more money.
After her conversation with them. She checked car brands to look for something portable to buy. Since they are starting a business, her parents will need a car to move around. She searched until she had three options to pick from.
When Fernando comes back, she will speak to him about his house arrest. She needed to leave the house soon so she could sort for fabric supplies and plan more with her parents for their upcoming business and also look for a shop space in a good location.
When Fernando returned that evening. She sat on the couch in the living room waiting for him to come up into the room and beside her was her own copy of the contract they signed.
Fernando walked in and their eyes met.
Form how he looked, she could tell he was so tired. His tie was not in his neck, his shirt looked disheveled and his hair was a bit scattered.
“We need to talk”
“I’m tired, tomorrow”
Ana stood up and blocked him from passing.
“What is the meaning of this?” Fernando frowned.
Ana opened a page in the contract and showed him. “Take a look, this part of the contract states that we both are not allowed to fall for each other, no physical touch or other form of romance is allowed”
“Explain your self young lady” Fernando said not yet understanding where this was heading to.
Ana smiled “Last night you breached this part of the contract by kissing me and secondly it was against my wish”
She watched his face change from a look of confusion to sudden realization and then to a very deep frown, that of annoyance.
Ana smiled cause she had won this round.
“I was drunk”
“Nowhere in the contract states ‘except in a drinking state’ remember I studied law, I know what the law says” Ana added.
She watched him clench his suit in his hand tightly. He sure doesn’t like it when things don't go his way. She had won against him for the second time now.
“What do you want young lady? Another shopping spree? Don’t worry I will leave the card on the table tomorrow money” he wanted to walk away but she stopped him.
“No no, as much as I would have liked that, it isn't what I want”
“What do you want young lady, I’m exhausted. If you annoy me one more time I will fling you across the room”
Ana knows he is capable of doing that since she was small compared to his size.
“I have been in house arrest against my wish. You have prevented me from going to law school and seeing my parents or going anywhere else. Please revoke it”
Fernando hesitated but agreed “Fine, from today you are no longer on house arrest”
Ana smiled "Finally, wow, I need to celebrate my freedom. I’m going to a party” Ana wanted to walk away but he dragged her back.
Fernando glared at her “What party?”
He had a serious look on his face and Ana decided to play along. She was not really planning to go out, but she decided to pretend like she was about to do so.
“With my friend in a club. You said my house arrest has ended. So I’m free to go”
Fernando tightened his grip on her "You are not permitted to go anywhere. You are married” he said
“We are not really married’
“Yes but that is what my mother thinks. How do you think she will react when she finds out you a married woman went to the club”
“She doesn’t have to know I left the house. I will leave quietly”
“No, you are not leaving”
“You can’t meddle in my personal life”
“You can’t see anyone without my consent”
“They are my friends”
“What friends, the only friend you had is the one you fought with in public”
“I have other friends”
“Name them”
Ana thought of it and realized that the only real friend she had was not in the country. “Well, I have high school friends. We are doing our reunion soon. They invited me to party with them” she lied.
“You are not going and that is final”
“Explain to me why I can’t go”
“Because this is my house young lady, what I say goes. You are not leaving this house to any club, not today nor ever. If you disobey me, just wait and see what I will do”
Ana could see the seriousness in his face and tone. She could not understand why he was acting this way with her, like she was really his wife.
