Chapter 24 Uprooted
“Stop!!!” Ana screamed “Mr Buenavista you are not in your right sense” Ana screamed at him and that seemed to work.
He looked at her closely and his face changed into a frown. He stood up immediately and went to the bathroom.
Ana sighed in relief, but her heart could not stop beating fast. What just happened felt like a movie. She touched her lip in disbelief.
She was sure her heart skipped when he kissed her. Or was it because of the shock of it all?
Ana placed her face on the pillow and screamed. She tried to remove the image of it from her face but could not.
She stood up and left the room.
She went to the living room upstairs to watch a movie so as to remove her mind from it.
After an hour of not being able to concentrate on the movie. She went back to their room after mustering the courage. She walked in and their eyes met.
He was sober now.
“Where did you go?” He questioned.
Ana could not believe his question “To the living room close by”
“My mother will find it weird if I just came back and you are not in the room”
“I had to leave this room, it felt suffocating, after what you did you do not expect me to sleep and pretend nothing happened. I had to go clear my head”
“Sorry for mistaking you for Silvia, I had a lot to drink. Pretend like nothing happened” Fernando said and laid on the couch bed.
Ana stood there for a while before going into the room. She closed the door and laid down to sleep after a while of the image appearing repeatedly in her head.
The next day
She woke up to see Fernando getting ready for work.
“I need to go outside,” she suddenly spoke.
“By outside you mean?”
“Not outside the estate, I need fresh air, it’s already 5 days”
“You can do that,” he said.
She is sure the only reason he was agreeing was because of what he did last night.
“I can’t wait for all this to be over” Ana murmured to herself but he heard it.
“What did you say?”
“Huh?”
“What did you just say?
“I said I can not wait for my contract with you to be over so I can return to my normal life. I’m tired of being a prisoner and not get to pursue my dreams”
“You do realize that is the prize you had to pay for the amount I gave you and will give you. If not for it, your sister would be dead by now”
Ana frowned “I know, which is why I pray for the days and weeks to go fast so the three months will be over, so I can get my life back”
Fernando stopped nodding his tie and stared at her through the mirror he was standing in front of. He had a frown on his face, an annoyed one.
Ana stood up from the bed and went to the bathroom to do her business.
By the time she was done Fernando had long gone and Paula came in to tell her that Mrs Buenavista wanted her to have breakfast with her.
Ana dressed up nice and went downstairs for breakfast.
Mrs Buenavista was so happy to see her since she was not able to see her yesterday.
“Good morning mother in-law”
“Oh my child, come seat close to me”
As Ana walked closer to her she noticed that Mrs Buenavista was dressed like she was going out. She sat down and smiled at her “Are you going somewhere mother-in-law?”
Mrs Buenavista nodded with a smile “I have a doctors appointment”
“Doesn’t the doctor usually come home to see you?”
“Yes but what I am seeing him for requires me to be there. He wants to do a full body examination on me and also discuss other things”
“I see, then I should follow you, after breakfast I will go up and dress into something more appropriate”
“Oh no dear, you do not have to come with me. Just stay home and get some more rest”
“Your need someone to support you, so I insist I want to come with you”
Mrs Buenavista shakes her head. “ No dear, it's private, it’s between me and my doctor. Do not worry yourself, just engage yourself with other things. I will be back soon” Mrs Buenavista smiled.
Ana felt there was something Mrs Buenavista was not telling her but it was not in her place to question her.
She had a tasty breakfast with her and bid her goodbye when she left for the hospital.
Ana felt useless around the mansion. There were a lot of maids so there is nothing she could help with.
She decided to walk round the estate with Paula who agreed to walk with her after hearing the young master permitted her to do so.
The family estate is huge so she can not walk around the whole part. She can only walk around the places close to the mansion.
Ana went to the flower field and was shocked by what she saw.
The last time she passed here during the fake wedding, she had seen a full flower farm with different kinds of flowers.
But now, only a few types of flowers can be seen. The beauty of the farm was gone. What happened to it, why did they cut all the roses down.
The farm had roses in different colors that made the farm look like a rainbow. But now all roses were gone, only other types of flowers remained.
Paula sighed, after your allergic reaction to the red rose. The young master asked that all the roses be cut down and uprooted from the ground.
Ana eyes widened
