Rhiannon was happy after getting the company she mostly desired, defeated Kaylee, and settled things with Bancy who was also her mother’s apprentice.
She didn’t need the latter to bring her employees or even draw her designs as she would be provided the designs for them but at the same time, cleaning the company as it had already been certified by the Clarks people.
To make sure that she didn’t waste a lot of time, she introduced her to the employees who were shocked but also understood what was going on as they had been hearing rumors of Rhiannon’s identity.
They had thought that the company would fall into the Clark's hands once more but they were astonished when they discovered that Rhiannon had bought every share. Even the shares that seemed difficult to get. For that, she got a wave of ‘fans’, loyal employees who immediately vowed that they would forever work for her as they could see the bright future in front of them.
Seeing that everything went well, she immediately fell tired upon lying on the couch.
She had a lot of energy, from meeting the perfumers to turning over the company. She never felt even a bit of tiredness and thought that she could still do one, two, three. Now, when she had finished everything and decided to take a rest, she felt tired.
‘Guess I can’t do another work today huh?’ she mumbled to herself as she knew that overworking would only lead to damaging her health.
“Why are you sleeping here?” Melda asked when they returned to the office with Bancy.
They immediately rushed to her in fear that something had happened to her and felt that if there was they couldn’t face their master.
“Just tired. Let me sleep here for a while,” she mumbled as he adjusted the pillow making both Bancy and Melda look at each other.
“No! Wake up, you will sleep in the car as we go back home. You will get good rest in your bed,” Melda said as she started pulling the latter’s hand causing her to groan as she struggled to open her eyes due to sleep.
“No! The car will be uncomfortable! Aunty, just let me have some sleep. I will wake up after one hour. Yes, after one hour to go home then I will continue resting at home. I can’t sleep in the car as I will feel uncomfortable and wake up with both backache and neckache,” she said as she pulled back her hand from her aunt.
Melda sighed as she didn’t know what to do with the latter.
“Let her sleep. Didn’t you say that she had been working non-stop? Maybe she is so tired that she can’t even lift her finger,” Nancy said as she pitied Rhiannon, especially after discovering what the latter had been doing since morning.
“Can’t lift a finger? If she had no energy and strength left, how did she pull herself back? Don’t think that I am stupid,” Melda sneered while Bancy still stared at her not even averting her head out of shame as she didn’t see what she had said wrong as she felt she was right but the latter was too strict on their master who she took care of as her niece.
“Just let her be. There is no need to argue,” Bancy said in an authoritative tone before nearly Rhiannon.
“Young miss, why don’t you go and sleep on the bed in the inner room?” she said causing Rhiannon to mumble in her sleep before opening her eyes lazily but she still struggled to keep them open.
“Oh, right! How could I forget about that? There is an inner room where I can take a rest. There is no need to sleep on the couch where I would have neck strain when I wake,” Rhiannon said as she stood up.
She walked into the room staggering due to her sleepiness and her closing her eyes time after time.
“you are spoiling her too much,” Melda sneered.
“How can that be called spoiling when I just told her to go and rest? Melda, we are master’s apprentices, for one thing, to protect her daughter and ensure that she lives safely. What would our work be if we can’t indulge her a little bit? That isn’t even indulging ass I know that young miss is sleepy as she has taken everything to be her burden. I even feel guilty that we still couldn’t reach the heights the master had set for us. If we had achieved everything by the time young miss came back, she wouldn’t be getting so tired,” Bancy said as her eyes watered.
Hearing her words, Melda didn’t say anything as she knew that the latter was right.
She had been taking care of Rhiannon as if she was really her aunt forgetting her true identity but now hearing Bancy’s words, she realized that she had been taking everything in the wrong approach.
There was no need to make their young miss carry all the burden. Now that she had decided to help the perfumery companies and they could tell she had some plans for the designing companies, she felt that all they could do was do their best, match her pace, and make her happy while making sure that she didn’t faint out of tiredness or hunger.
“I am sorry,” Melda said to her senior sister who just looked at her and then shook her head.
“I am not blaming you in everything as I understand of us all, you are the one whom she knows and has always been closer to thus what I expected for you is indulging her but with some limits. Let her feel loved in your place. Let her feel relaxed there so that she can get every help she needs,” Bancy said as she patted the latter’s back.
They continued talking and later ordered some food as they had not taken their lunch.
Before they knew it, an hour had passed and they were startled when they heard the door’s sound.
They turned around and saw Rhiannon standing there and leaning at the doorpost.
“When did you wake up? Are you sure that you got enough sleep?” Melda asked with a smile on her face but that was enough to make Rhiannon frozen as she couldn’t understand why her aunt seemed to have changed from the strict aunty to the soft aunty.
She blinked her eyes as she couldn’t believe it and was brought back to reality when she heard Bancy’s chuckle.
“She said that she would wake up after an hour and she did. She woke up just at the right time as she had promised. Young miss, you know how to keep time, huh?” Bancy said with a smile.
Rhiannon yawned as he walked towards them.
“Now that I have taken a rest, I feel a bit hungry. Before I went to sleep, all I was feeling was fatigue but now, it seemed as if my stomach might come out anytime soon to punish me for staving it,” Rhiannon said causing the two women to chuckle.
“Well, then have a seat and take the food that she ordered for you as we knew that you would wake up in hunger,” Bancy said making Rhiannon nod her head.
She walked to where Bancy had pointed and took the bag.
“Aunty, can we now go home? I will eat while we are in the car I don’t want to waste time," she said as she walked towards them with the bag in her hands.
They looked at her wanting to speak but shut their mouths when they saw the seriousness in her eyes.
"Bancy, thank you so much. I will come back to see how everything is going on next week.”
