“Hello, Rhiannon talking, who am I talking to?” she asked with a frown.
“Mrs Rhiannon Rodrigues you have guts to hang up on me! No one has ever done that to me! You are the first one!” a deep cold angry voice said from the other side shocking Rhiannon that she almost dropped her phone.
“I am sorry second prince. I didn’t have your number thus I don’t know whom was calling. Please forgive me, Your Highness,” Rhiannon said stunning everyone.
Antonio and Amanda looked at each other and there was some bit of panic in their eyes but at the same time, they felt troubled.
At that moment, Amanda remembered that she had added the king to her guest list and cussed inwardly while she hoped that the man wouldn’t come.
“It's okay,” the prince said softly after hearing her apology and calming down.
“Thank you for forgiving me my prince,” Rhiannon said but inwardly, she was feeling tired of all the formalities. Maybe it was because she didn’t need to call anyone like that as she had never met someone higher than her and those who were, were her family.
“About the invitation, I told the king about it,” the prince said as he felt that he should go directly to the pint although he felt the urge to talk to her and even he couldn’t understand himself.
“And?” Rhiannon asked in a murmur as she was afraid of getting disappointed.
“It's too far and as you said, he won’t be able to get enough rest if he comes today. I gave the order to attend it on his behalf,” the prince said shocking Rhiannon.
She opened her mouth to say something then closed it as she didn’t know what to say.
Her family saw her actions and got curious about what was really going on.
“Hello, you have no words now? When you were begging me to talk to the king you were so chatty,” the prince said with a chuckle shocking Rhiannon even more.
She removed the phone from her ears to see whether she was speaking to the right person.
“What's wrong?” Amanda murmured to her causing Rhiannon to shake her head as she couldn’t reply to her at the moment.
“I am sorry second prince. It is just that I am shocked that he is sending you personally. You are most welcome and we will prepare all the necessary things that you will need,” Rhiannon said after getting back her voice.
“That’s great cause I a thinking of spending a month there. Since you guys are the ones that have made me get out of the palace you should try your best to give me the best for that month,” he said as he smiled since he liked teasing her.
He was even shocked that a stranger whom he had not even met could have such an effect on him.
He was always cold and only smiled in front of his family, even his friends didn’t have the luxury to see his smile.
“Okay, a second prince. I will make the necessary arrangements,” Rhiannon said as she gritted her teeth as she felt that she had made a bad move reaching out to the man.
The prince chuckled and then hung up the call even without saying goodbye.
“That bastard!” Rhiannon cursed as she placed her phone on the table causing everyone to look at her.
“You just called that person second prince, who is he?” Anabelle asked as she didn’t believe that Rhiannon was talking to a royal.
“The royal prince,” Rhiannon said as she massaged her temple.
“And you are calling him a bastard? Do you know what kind of punishment can be upon you if he heard it?” Octavius asked as he was worried that something might happen to her.
“Why is he behaving like one? When we talked in the morning he was so cold, I was even afraid that I might be frozen by how his tone was but now, he has gotten so cheeky. As if he was just cold when he was in the palace,” Rhiannon said angrily not even paying to what she was saying.
“Not in the palace,” Amanda repeated causing Rhiannon to remember the reason why she had contacted that prince in the first place.
“I am sorry Mom. We saw the King’s name on the guest list but if we were to send the card to the palace, it would only arrive two days later and it would be after the party thus I contacted the prince so that he could ask his father,” Rhiannon said.
“I am sorry to disappoint you but the king won’t be coming, He sent the second prince to stand for him,” Rhiannon said causing Antonio and the sister and brother to look at their mother.
“I just realized that he was on the guest list, okay?” Amanda said as she looked at her husband and at the same time sighed in relief that the man wasn’t coming personally.
“Why did you get his number?” Antonio asked.
“Oh, Fred gave it to me,” Rhiannon replied.
“Fred?” Octavius asked a hint of jealousy in his tone.
“The manager!” Rhiannon replied while rolling her eyes.
“Anyways, the second prince said that he will be coming to this country for a month and we should welcome him for the whole month as we are the reason he is here.”
