Chapter 43 chapter 43
Chapter 43
“Who is causing trouble here?” The school principal asked.
Upon seeing the principal, Teacher Grace almost peed on herself. Looks like Vivian really wanted to mess with her, or maybe she was targeting Jojo on purpose.
The moment the principal arrived, Vivian walked to him, “Principal Carl, I just arrived here only to find my son being bullied. His drawing book and paints have been stolen. We have already identified the thief, but the teacher is actually siding with her.”
The principal walked in and landed a hot slap on Grace’s face. His voice was emotionless as he reprimanded, “Are you out of your mind? Do you have any idea who she is? Her husband is our biggest sponsor, and you dared misbehave with her son?”
Teacher Grace shook her head, “No, Principal Carl, it is not like that. This whole thing is just a huge misunderstanding.”
Before the principal could say anything, Grace quickly explained, “Jayden suddenly accused Jojo of stealing his drawing book and paints. I was just trying to uncover the truth, but then Jayden pushed Jojo, and she hurt her head.”
Teacher Grace was still hugging Jojo as she spoke, “She is bleeding, and she needs to be rushed to the hospital.”
Jayden pointed at Jojo and screamed, “I did not push her. She was the one who came at me. I was only protecting myself.”
The parents who had been present nodded. Although they also came from influential families, their status couldn’t compare to Thompson's. Maybe if they spoke in their favor, they might even do a few business deals with them.
“Principal, Jayden is telling the truth. He did not push her. That little slut fell by herself. I don’t even know why that teacher is defending her.”
“Maybe they are in this together. Maybe the teacher was the one who told her to go and steal, so that they could sell and share the money.”
One of the parents looked at Principal Carl and spoke, “Principal, Maple Academy has been the best in the city, and that was why we were confident enough to bring our children here. But now, I see that you have allowed every Tom, Dick, and Harry into the school, and it has lost its morals.”
“I don’t think that I can continue to keep my little girl in this school. What if she is targeted next?”
“Me too. I never thought something this vile would happen in such a school. I was so wrong about it, and I think I would also have my baby transferred.”
Seeing that the parents were pulling out, the principal started to sweat profusely. There was no way he was going to lose his reputation over some damn kid who did not even have a name.
He stood in front of the class and addressed the parents, let us calm down, parents. Things haven’t gotten to that point yet. I will make sure that whoever is in the wrong gets punished.”
He looked at the teacher and continued, “You are fired with immediate effect. You are not fit to be a teacher in this school anymore.”
“What?” Teacher Grace’s face paled.
He then turned his gaze towards Vivian and spoke in a flattering voice, “Mrs. Thompson, I will give you the honors of checking that brat’s bag. If you find your son’s drawing book and paints, then she would be expelled immediately. I can’t imagine someone with such vile behavior staying in my school.”
Hearing the principal, Vivian smiled secretly. That was the exact moment she had been waiting for, but she was not going to show it.
She first looked at her son, and after getting the signal, she raised her head and looked at the principal, “Mr. Carl, I don’t think that is appropriate. Although my son’s drawing book and paints were stolen, I can always get him more. I just don’t want people to think that I am being a bully.”
“Mrs. Thompson is so nice.”
Jayden was not having any of it. He hugged his mom’s leg and continued to cry, “Mommy, that was my favorite drawing book, and I had barely used those paints.”
“Uhm, baby, but she said that she did not steal. What if it is just a misunderstanding?”
“No, mommy, she is the one who stole it.”
The principal looked on and laughed, “Uhm, Mrs. Thompson, I know that your son doesn’t have a reason to lie. Just check, so that everything can be clear.”
Vivian thought about it before she nodded, “Well, since you’ve insisted, then I will check. But if she really stole them, make sure that you don’t spare her, and no school would ever admit that. We can’t let kids with no morals interact with our well-behaved children.”
“Of course, Mrs. Thompson.”
As Vivian walked towards Jojo’s stuff, a small smile tagged at the corner of her lips. She could not help but think in her mind, ‘Natalie, you only have yourself to blame for this. You shouldn’t have come back to the city, and so, I will have to do everything in my power to make sure that you leave Sterling city.’
‘Let us know what you can say for yourself after it has been proven that your daughter is nothing but a petty thief.”
Vivian held Jojo’s bag and emptied everything onto the ground.
The moment he saw his drawing book, Jayden shouted, “I knew it! I knew she was the one who took it. Look, that is my drawing book and my paints.”
Everyone was stunned, and the parents looked on with wide eyes. They could not believe what they were seeing.
Vivian’s gentle expression changed. She walked to Jojo and snatched her away from the teacher’s arms.
Her voice was raised as she interrogated Jojo, “You dare steal my son’s stuff? Haven’t your parents told you that stealing is bad?”
Although Jojo felt her head spin, she still managed to speak, “I did not steal anything. I don’t know how those got in my back. I swear.”
“Quit the act, you fool. I bet your parents have no money, so they sent you here to steal from your schoolmates, right? How did you even get yourself admitted to this school?”
“I did not…”
“You dare talk back? I am going to teach you a lesson on behalf of your parents.”
Vivian raised her hand, ready to slap Jojo. Just the thought of slapping Natalie’s child sent a thrill through her heart, and her gaze turned vicious.
But before she could ‘discipline’ Jojo, a thunderous voice was heard at the door, “Lay a finger on her and I will make sure your arm is amputated!”
