(Freya's POV).
It had been almost three weeks since Adam was hospitalized and his condition was much better than before. The doctor also said that he was cleared to go home. I was quite grateful because Adam was starting to whine about going home, probably because he was tired of being in the hospital all the time.
Tristan and I took turns looking after Adam and he deliberately left work for us. Meanwhile, Devan would go back to New York every weekend to finish some work that he had to do in person. I told him not to go back and forth, but he insisted because he didn't want to be away from me and spend more time with me and Adam.
Viona, who has finally been arrested, has now been named as the perpetrator of Theo's death and Adam's accident. She deserves to be punished for what she has done. And I felt quite relieved that the law didn't defend her because previously I was afraid that Viona would escape her punishment because of her influential parents. But Devan, Jason, and Tristan did everything they could to make it impossible for Viona to escape the law.
I felt that all the problems in my life had been resolved. My relationship with Devan has started to improve although I still feel awkward around him. Adam is also getting closer to Devan and calls him Daddy more often. Sometimes I even feel jealous of their closeness. Adam really resembled Devan and it amazed me.
"Dev?" I rubbed my eyes when I woke up and saw Devan sitting next to me. "When did you arrive? Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked him who had just returned from New York.
"You looked tired. I didn't have the heart to wake you," he said.
I woke up and felt Devan's hand touch my face. His hand was so cold because it was approaching winter.
"Is everything going well?"
He nodded and kissed my lips. "Uhm. Everything's going well. I miss you, Fey," he whispered.
"The doctor said that Adam can go home tomorrow," I told him.
"That's great news. I've prepared an apartment for us to live in later."
"A-Apartment?" I gaped in disbelief. "W-Wait... what are you setting up an apartment for? Since when did you─"
"I hope you don't reject it," he cut me off. He gently kissed the back of my hand.
I don't know since when Devan was so spoiled every time he was with me. Whereas in the past, just being close to me made him feel so disgusted. But now he wouldn't let go of me and was always doing excessive skinship to me.
"But, I have my own house, Dev."
"I know. But the house is quite small for us to live in. It would be more comfortable if we lived in an apartment. Adam has just recovered and he needs proper facilities."
I furrowed my brow. "So you think my house has been inadequate all this time?"
"No, it wasn't. I just want to do my best for you. For our convenience."
"For our convenience or yours?" I sneered and he chuckled.
"Don't refuse, okay? I'll go crazy if you refuse."
"Alright. I won't win arguing with you anyway," I said. He kissed my lips again and then my forehead.
"I love you, Fey," he whispered.
"It's been a while since I heard you call me like that," I said. I felt so happy because every moment I was experiencing felt like a beautiful dream.
"I'll do it more often. You like it, right?"
I nodded. "Thank you, Dev. I am so happy."
"I'm that much happier that you returned to me again." He hugged me tightly and I let myself lean against his chest comfortably.

"You said that it was an Apartment, Dev!" I yelled with my eyes widening in surprise. When I got there with Adam and Devan I found out that it was a penthouse.
"Is that different?" he looked at me with an innocent smile. "Go inside first," he said as he pulled my hand inside while Adam was still in his arms.
"Dev! You've wasted money. You don't even live here!" I shouted in disbelief. I kept on nagging him but he was still acting like that until he pulled my waist into his arms.
"Do you think that I'm poor? Just buying a penthouse won't make me broke, Fey. I can even buy this whole building."
"There you go again," I sneered but Devan just gave me a small smile.
"Dad, are we going to live here from now on?" asked Adam. He was the happiest when we came here.
"Yes. Do you like it? If you don't like it, we can choose another penthouse─"
"Dev, don't spoil him too much. We're not talking about buying a popsicle, but a penthouse!" I exclaimed, cutting him off. He just grinned at me.
"I like it! It's bigger than the previous house. But..."
"But what, buddy?"
"My toys are at home. I want to bring them here," he said with a pouty face.
Devan chuckled while I could only shake my head at the behavior of the two of them. "Don't worry. I have prepared a lot of toys in your room. You can play as much as you want."
"Really?!"
"Yeah. You want to check it out?"
Adam nodded, enthusiastically. "Yes!"
"I'll go to the room with Adam first," Devan said. He kissed my forehead before leaving me in the living room.
I let out a long sigh looking again at the penthouse that Devan had bought for us. How could he be so careless to buy a penthouse that I'm sure costs so fantastic? Moreover, he doesn't live here and is still busy traveling back and forth to New York for work.
Since we made up, he's always spoiled us. I'm still not used to it and feel it's too much because Devan has never been considerate to me before during our marriage. So, I was still thinking whether I deserved all this from Devan.
"What were you thinking?" I gasped as I felt Devan hug me from behind.
"D-Dev. You surprised me," I said.
"Why are you daydreaming? Is there something bothering you?"
I shook my head. "Nothing. I was just thinking how much money you spent on this penthouse," I teased.
"Fey, don't forget that your husband is a Billionaire," he grinned.
