Chapter 40 40
Lila's eyes fluttered open, her gaze meeting Damien's intense stare. She felt disoriented as if she'd been pulled under a strong current and was struggling to resurface. The memories of the previous night's events came flooding back, and she felt a wave of shame wash over her.
"How could I be so weak?" she whispered, her voice laced with self-criticism.
Damien's expression softened, and he reached out to brush a strand of hair behind her ear. "You're not weak, Lila," he said, his voice low and soothing. "You're just...human."
Lila pulled away from his touch, feeling a spark of anger ignite within her. "Don't patronize me, Damien," she spat. "You know exactly what you're doing. You're using sex to control me, to manipulate me into doing your bidding."
Damien's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in a tight line. "I'm not using you, Lila," he growled. "I'm giving you what you need. What you want."
Lila laughed, the sound bitter and mocking. "What I want?" she repeated. "You have no idea what I want, Damien. You never have."
Damien's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with anger. "I know you want me," he snarled. "I know you crave my touch, my kiss. You can't deny it, Lila. You can't hide it."
Lila felt a shiver run down her spine as Damien's words struck a line within her. She did want him, she couldn't deny it. But she also hated him, hated the way he manipulated her, hated the way he made her feel.
"I hate you," she whispered, the words barely audible.
Damien's expression softened, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of sadness and understanding. "I know," he said, his voice low and gentle. "But that doesn't change anything, does it? You're still mine, Lila. You'll always be mine."
Lila felt a wave of despair wash over her, followed by a surge of determination. She knew she had to break free from Damien's grasp, to shatter the illusions that bound her to him.
"I'll never be yours," she spat, her voice firm and resolute. "I'll never be anyone's but my own."
Damien's eyes flashed with anger, but Lila stood her ground, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew she had to be strong, to resist Damien's manipulation and control.
But as she looked into his eyes, she saw something there that gave her pause. Something that made her wonder if she was wrong about him and if he was more than just a manipulative control freak.
It was a glimmer of vulnerability, a hint of sadness that seemed to echo deep within his soul. And for a moment, Lila felt a pang of doubt, a sense of uncertainty that made her question everything she thought she knew about Damien.
But the moment passed, and Damien's mask slipped back into place. His eyes hardened, his jaw clenched, and Lila knew she had to be strong, to resist his manipulation and control.
"I'll never let you go," he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Lila smiled a cold, hard smile. "We'll see about that," she said, her voice firm and resolute.
And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving Damien standing alone in the shadows, his eyes burning with a fierce and unrelenting passion.
But Lila knew she couldn't escape him that easily. She knew he would come after her, that he would stop at nothing to claim her as his own.
And she was ready for him. She was ready to fight. For her freedom. For her soul.
The battle between Lila and Damien had only just begun, and it would be a fight to the death.
But Lila was no longer the weak, vulnerable girl she once was. She was strong, fierce, and determined.
And she would stop at nothing to shatter the illusions that bound her to Damien, to break free from his grasp and forge her path.
The question was, would she emerge victorious, or would Damien's control prove too strong to overcome? Only time will tell.
As Lila walked away from Damien, she felt a sense of determination wash over her. She knew she had to be strong, to resist Damien's manipulation and control. But as she walked, she couldn't shake the feeling that Damien's eyes were still on her, watching her, waiting for her to slip up so he could pounce.
She quickened her pace, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew she had to get as far away from Damien as possible, to find a place where she could be safe.
But as she opened the door to the guest room, she saw a figure waiting for her outside the guest room building. It was Damien.
Lila's heart skipped a beat as she saw the look in his eyes. It was a look of determination, of possession.
"You can't escape me, Lila," he said, his voice low and menacing. "I'll always find you."
Lila felt a surge of fear, but she stood her ground. She knew she couldn't let Damien win, couldn't let him control her.
"I'm not afraid of you," she lied, trying to keep her voice steady.
Damien smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I think you are," he said. "I think you're terrified of me."
Lila felt a shiver run down her spine as Damien took a step closer to her. She knew she had to get away from him, to find a place where she could be without not seeing him.
But as she turned to go, Damien caught her arm, his grip like a vice."You're not going anywhere," he growled, his eyes blazing with anger.
Lila struggled against his grip, but Damien was too strong. He pulled her back into his arms, his lips crushing down on hers in a fierce, this time, apossessive kiss.
Lila felt a wave of panic wash over her as she realized she was trapped. She was at Damien's mercy, and she knew he wouldn't hesitate to use his power over her.
But as she struggled against him, she felt a spark of anger ignite within her. She was tired of being controlled, tired of being manipulated. She was tired of being Damien's sex pawn.
With a surge of rush, Lila pushed against Damien's chest, using all her strength to break free from his grasp. And to her surprise, she succeeded.
Damien stumbled backward, his eyes wide with shock and anger.
Lila took advantage of the distraction to make a run for it. She ran to the room, her heart pounding in her chest.
She knew she had to get as far away from Damien as possible. She knew she had to find a place where she could be safe. So she immediately locked the room
But as she was inside the room, she couldn't shake the feeling that Damien was still watching her, waiting for her to slip up so he could pounce.
And she knew that she would never be able to escape him completely. Not as long as she still had feelings for him.
Just then, The door creaked open, and there he stood..the man whose touch she had longed for, whose presence made her heart race.
Damian's voice broke the silence, smooth yet commanding, "Lila, did you forget? I hold the keys to both this room and to your desires." His eyes darkened with intensity as he took a step closer. "It's time to stop running. You can't escape me, not now. Come to me, baby…come and feel your big Sammy, let me make you feel things you've been avoiding."
Lila’s breath caught in her throat. Her body betrayed her, yearning for him, even as her mind fought to stay distant.
As the days went by, Lila found herself becoming more and more entrenched in Damien's web of control. He had a way of making her feel like she was the only person in the world like she was the center of his universe.
And the sex...oh, the sex was like nothing she had ever experienced before. Damien knew exactly how to touch her, exactly how to make her feel like she was melting into his arms.
Lila couldn't get enough of it. She found herself craving Damien's touch, craving the way he made her feel like she was home. And Damien knew it. He knew exactly how to use her desire against her, exactly how to make her do his bidding.
"Lila, my love," he would whisper in her ear, his breath sending shivers down her spine. "I need you to do something for me."And Lila would nod, eager to please him, eager to make him happy.
She would do anything for him, anything at all. As the days turned into weeks, Lila found herself becoming more and more entrenched in Damien's world. She was his wife, his lover, his slave.
And she knew it. She knew that she was trapped, that she was caught in a web of desire and control from which she might never escape. But she didn't care. She was too far gone, too caught up in the thrill of being with Damien.
And besides, she told herself, she loved him. She loved the way he made her feel, the way he touched her, the way he looked at her. She loved him, and she would do anything for him. Anything at all.
