Chapter 41 41
Lila sat in the silky chair by the window, staring out at the night sky. The distant city lights flickered like stars, offering a false sense of peace. But inside, everything was a storm. The same storm that Damien had stirred inside her over and over again, each time more intense than the last.
She tried to convince herself that she was strong and that she would not fall for his manipulation again. But every time she closed her eyes, all she could see was him...his touch, his words, the way he made her feel like she was the only thing that mattered. It was intoxicating and overwhelming, and it terrified her.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the soft click of the door opening. She didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. The air grew thick with his presence, the room seeming to shrink as Damien stepped inside, his gaze locking onto her.
"Lila," his voice was smooth, like velvet, but there was an edge to it, a quiet power that seemed to penetrate her very soul. "We need to talk."
She bristled, a wave of frustration washing over her. "Again! '' and beside ''I don’t think there’s anything left to say, Damien."
He stepped closer, his gaze never leaving hers. "Oh, I think there’s plenty to say." His words were soft, but there was a weight behind them. "You’ve been running from me, Lila. You’ve been trying to escape, but you can’t. You and I both know that."
Lila stood up abruptly, her heart racing. "I’m not running. I’m trying to regain control of my life, Damien. You’ve taken so much from me already, and I refuse to let you have any more."
Damien’s eyes flickered with something...anger, perhaps, or was it something else? He stepped forward, closing the distance between them, his body radiating heat. "You think you can just walk away from this? Do you think you can escape what we’ve built together? What we are together?"
Lila’s breath caught in her throat. She could feel the attractive pull of him, the way his very presence seemed to ensnare her. "I don’t want to be a part of this anymore," she said, her voice steady but her hands trembling. "I’m not your possession, Damien. I won’t be controlled by you."
Damien’s lips twisted into a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. "You think you have a choice?" He took another step forward, his presence overpowering. "You can’t leave me, Lila. You belong to me, whether you want to admit it or not."
The words stung more than she wanted to admit. "No," she said, her voice growing stronger. "I don’t belong to you. I am not some object to be owned, Damien."
He reached out and cupped her cheek, his thumb gently brushing the skin, a gesture that should have been tender, but instead, it felt suffocating. "You say that now," he murmured, his voice low and dangerous, "but deep down, you know you want me. You crave me. You always have."
Lila’s breath hitched. She wanted to pull away, to fight him, but there was something in his touch that made her want to stay. That twisted desire, that hunger, it was always there, lurking beneath the surface. She had fought it for so long, but here it was again, stronger than ever.
"I hate you," she whispered, the words barely escaping her lips. She wanted to mean them, but they felt hollow. She couldn’t hate him. Not completely. Not when he had a hold on her like this.
Damien’s gaze softened for a moment, and for a fleeting second, Lila thought she saw something vulnerable in his eyes..a glimpse of the man behind the mask. But it was gone as quickly as it came, replaced by the cold, calculating look she had come to fear.
"You think you hate me," he said, his voice laced with a quiet sadness. "But you don’t. Not really. You hate what I’ve done to you, what I’ve made you feel. But deep down, you need me, Lila. You can’t deny that."
Lila’s heart pounded in her chest. She could feel the war inside her intensifying, her mind screaming for her to break free, to escape. But her body, her heart, betrayed her. "You’re wrong," she whispered, the words coming out as a fragile plea.
Damien’s grip tightened on her chin, forcing her to look up at him. "Am I?" he asked softly, his breath warm against her lips. "You think you can live without me? You think you can survive without what I'm giving you?"
Lila wanted to cry out, to scream at him that she could be free, that she didn’t need him, but then Damien big-Sammy was stuck on Lila's back and his hand on Lila's boobs, but the truth was there was a part of her that did. The part of her that had never truly let go, that still longed for the tenderness buried beneath Damien’s cruel exterior.
"You’ve made me feel things I can’t control," she admitted, her voice trembling. "I hate that you have this power over me, but I can’t stop myself from wanting you."
Damien’s eyes darkened, a predatory glint flickering in them. "That’s the problem, Lila. You think you can control your feelings. Do you think you can shut me out? But you can’t. I’m inside you, and no matter how hard you fight, you’ll always be mine."
Lila recoiled at his words, a surge of anger rising within her. She had to stop him. She couldn’t let him win, but Lila couldn't...she couldn't hold it anymore. And she said, "I want it harder, Daddy," she murmured, trying to pull Damien's clothes off his body. "I'm ready to come to Daddy."
He laughed, a cold, mocking sound that sent a shiver down her spine. "Do you want it differentl, baby?" he asked, stepping closer. "You think you’re free, but the truth is, you’ll never be free. You’ll never escape me. Because no matter what you do, you’ll always come back to me. Always."Damien said again
But then Lila couldn't reply to him back cause her body had already started to become emotional. The room seemed to close in around her, the walls suffocating her as Damien’s words wrapped around her like chains. She was caught in his web, unable to escape, no matter how hard she tried.
And deep down, a part of her didn’t want to escape. That part of her that craved him, that wanted to be consumed by him, even though she knew it would destroy her.
"I’ll never be yours," she whispered, her voice breaking as tears threatened to spill. "I can’t be." then she said again "I can't wait for Daddy, pls give it to me "
Damien’s expression softened for a moment, and for the briefest second, it almost looked like he cared. Almost.
"You already have it," he said quietly. "You just don’t realize it yet."
Lila’s heart shattered, the last remnants of her resolve crumbling beneath his gaze. She wanted to fight, to break free, but her body betrayed her. She wanted him. She wanted him more than anything.
Damien leaned down, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, "I’ll make you see, Lila. I’ll make you realize that you belong to me. And once you do, there will be no turning back."
Her breath hitched as his words sank in. The finality of them, the certainty that Damien believed with every fiber of his being that she was his, that she always would be. It was terrifying. And yet, in some twisted, painful way, it felt like the truth.
Lila closed her eyes, the weight of it all pressing down on her. She was caught between the man she feared and the man she desired. And the lines between the two were becoming increasingly blurred."Damien," she whispered, her voice barely audible, "please… don’t do this."
But Damien was already stepping back, a satisfied smirk playing at the corner of his lips. "It’s already done, Lila. You just don’t know it yet."
Just then in the room, Lila collapsed onto the floor, her body trembling, her mind a whirlpool of confusion and desire. She was ready to go beneath the trousers to have Damien big-sammy; she didn’t know what was worse, the fact that Damien was right or that, deep down, a part of her was willing to let him control her.
The battle for her soul had only just begun. And with every passing day, Damien’s hold on her was growing stronger.
