S2- Sorry
Senna looked at Magnus, the man who was like a god to her, her eyes reddened with emotion. "Magnus, you..."
"Those shares were left to you by your grandparents. I know you're worried," Magnus gently cupped her face with his hands, leaned down and softly kissed her forehead, smiling as he said, "I helped you get them back because I want you to be happy, not to make you cry."
"I... I am just so overwhelmed with emotion," Senna chuckled, blinking away the tears. She cared about those shares not for the wealth they represented, but because they were a legacy from her grandparents, a blessing from them.
"Senna, I want to ask you for one thing," Magnus said, lifting Maxime in his arms and looking at her.
"You've done so much for me, and yet you're still being so distant?" Senna raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued.
"This matter requires your consent before I can act. The Voss family owes you so much," Magnus lowered his head to glance at the child who was looking at him with equal curiosity, then earnestly said, "I want to take Maxime to see the old man. He's paralyzed now, and the one he most wants to see is Maxime. He also asked me to tell you he's sorry."
Back then, he had forced Astrid to make her abort the child, and now that very child had become the one the old man most wanted to see. Senna couldn't help but laugh.
Good and evil will be repaid in time; fate will eventually catch up. If you don't believe it, just look up. Who can escape heaven's justice?
Magnus gently touched the child's head, slightly shrugging as he said, "Senna, if you're unwilling, then just forget I ever said anything. I don't want to force you." It was perfectly reasonable for her not to want to see the old man after all the things he had done to her.
Senna looked at Maxime and softly asked, "Maxime, do you want to go see Great Grandpa?"
Magnus's heart skipped a beat. He looked at her with gratitude, and she gave him a small smile. "I could choose not to go, but after all, he's Maxime's great-grandfather. I have no right to stop him from wanting to see his great-grandson."
"Senna, thank you. The old man will be so happy to see Maxime," Magnus said. Now, Maxime was the only one who could help the old man hold on.
"What's a great-grandpa?" Maxime tilted his little head and asked curiously.
Senna smiled and said, "A great-grandpa is your father's grandfather. Now, I need to rest. Magnus, take him to see the old man."
The old man had suffered enough punishment for his actions, and holding onto hatred was painful. She didn't want to live the rest of her life in misery.
Magnus hugged her gratefully. "Rest well. I'll take Maxime to see the old man and come back to keep you company."
"Go on, stop being so wordy," Senna urged. The old man was probably waiting anxiously.
She was more impatient than him. Magnus let out a chuckle and, with Maxime in his arms, went to see the old man.
Indeed, the old man was waiting anxiously, and the butler had already looked at the door several times.
"Don't worry, old master. The young master will bring little young master back soon for you to see. Alright, stop blinking so much, I'll check again," the butler quickly ran to the door again.
This time, he had a bright smile on his face. He turned around happily and said loudly, "They're here! The young master brought little young master! What a cute kid! He looks just like the young master when he was little. Even at this young age, he already has a touch of handsomeness. When he grows up, he'll definitely have women falling for him."
From a distance, the butler could see Magnus carrying Maxime, and his face was full of joy, as if the child were his own grandson.
The old man, hearing the butler speak, anxiously made little sounds and kept blinking his eyes. His great-grandson had finally arrived after waiting for so long-it was agonizing.
"Old master, they're here! Oh, little young master's brows, his looks, you can tell right away he's a Voss family heir. So cute," the butler said, dancing with joy.
Maxime tilted his head, looking at the excited butler, and blinked his pretty black eyes. "Is he my great-grandpa?" It was so strange-why was the great-grandpa so happy, almost like a little bird.
The butler froze for a moment, quickly pulling back his exaggerated expression and putting on a kind smile. "Little young master, I'm your great-grandpa's butler. Your great-grandpa is in the room."
"Oh, butler." Maxime nodded seriously, then slid down from Magnus's arms and trotted into the room.
