Chapter 221: S2- Ruthless

Mrs. Thorne had swollen, red eyes and a pale face, clearly having cried all night. She stormed in, angrily pointing at Senna and accusing her. "You wretched woman, you should have died three years ago. You shouldn't have come back. Give me back my Astrid's life! My poor daughter, she died so miserably!"

Tobias and Maxime saw their hostile intent and quickly stood up to block Senna's window.

Maxime pointed at Mrs. Thorne and loudly said in a grown-up manner, "Old witch, I won't allow you to curse my mom."

"Where did this wild child come from? How dare you call me an old witch? You rude, ill-mannered little bastard," Mrs. Thorne snapped at Maxime.

Senna sat up, gently patting Maxime's head, her face darkening, and her gaze turning cold. "Maxime is not a wild child. He is my son, and he only needs to be polite to others."

Mrs. Thorne was beyond enraged. "Senna, you wretched woman, you killed my daughter, and now you're insulting me? I'm your stepmother! How can you treat me like this? Aren't you afraid of divine punishment?"

She tried to rush forward to punish Senna.

"Stop it, don't make a scene," Mr. Thorne quickly stepped forward to pull her back. His gaze shifted between Senna and Maxime, and the more he looked, the more he thought the child looked like Senna.

He became excited. "Senna, is this child my grandson?" Now that Astrid was dead, she was his only daughter left.

"Mr. Thorne, you're truly forgetful. We've been estranged as father and daughter for three years, and I have nothing to do with you,"

Astrid is dead, and now he wants to acknowledge her? No chance.

Mr. Thorne turned pale, his face filled with sorrow as he said, "Senna, it is true that I didn't do enough three years ago, but you have to understand, Magnus said that with you, there is no Thorne family. What could I do?"

Senna reached out and gently patted Maxime's head, her eyes flashing with a sharp gaze. "Anyone who dares to harm my child, I'll throw everything away to fight them to the death."

Mr. Thorne was instantly filled with shame, murmuring, "It's my fault. Will you forgive me? You will always be my daughter."

"Dear, have you lost your mind? She killed our Astrid, and you still want to acknowledge her," Mrs. Thorne exploded, yelling angrily.

"Once a person dies, they can never come back. Astrid is gone, and now the only child left in our family is Senna. Are you trying to end the Thorne family line?" Mr. Thorne grabbed her arm, finally showing some of the authority of the head of the family.

Mrs. Thorne began crying loudly, "You bastard, you scoundrel! Didn't we agree to seek justice for Astrid?"

Senna looked at them coldly and said, "I didn't kill Astrid, it was the old master's butler. If you want justice, go find the old master, why are you looking for me? If she hadn't died, I'd be suing her for attempted murder."

"Don't try to shirk responsibility and clear your name. If it wasn't for you, how could Astrid be dead?" Mrs. Thorne cried out loudly.

"You're pathetic. Your own daughter died, but you're afraid to face the real murderer and bullying the weak instead. Are you trying to squeeze me, the soft target?" Senna sneered. "Let me tell you, on the 10th, Magnus Voss will marry me. I'll be the young mistress of the Voss family, and my son will be their heir. I could crush you with just one finger."

"Magnus wants to marry you?" Mrs. Thorne was shocked, "That's impossible! Didn't he want to marry my daughter..."

"Seems like you're still in the dark. Magnus has always wanted to marry me. Your daughter was just delusional, thinking he wanted her," Senna said sarcastically.

Mrs. Thorne was struck like lightning, and she shouted in disbelief, "You're lying..."

"Senna is not lying. Whether it was three years ago or now, the person I've always wanted to marry is Senna," a cold, domineering deep voice echoed from the doorway.

Everyone quickly turned to look, and through the backlight, a tall and steady figure walked in from the door.

Mr. and Mrs. Thorne looked shocked, their faces filled with disbelief. Wasn't he supposed to be crippled and confined to a wheelchair?

"Dad, that old witch is bullying my mom, you beat her," Maxime, encouraged by his father's arrival, shouted confidently in a babyish voice.

"Who dares bully your mom, I'll beat her into a pulp," Magnus's sharp gaze swept over.

Mrs. Thorne immediately felt a chill run through her, shuddering involuntarily. She clenched her fists and demanded, "Magnus, what do you mean by this? You tricked my daughter into signing a stock transfer agreement, and now you tell me you want to marry someone else. This is fraud!"

"Fraud?" Magnus sneered, "I don't think I ever said I wanted to marry your daughter. The stock transfer was willingly signed by your daughter, not fraud. I'm marrying the daughter of the Thorne family, Senna Thorne. If you don't agree, feel free to sue me, though no lawyer outside would dare take this case."

"You..." Mrs. Thorne was so angry she nearly spat blood.

Magnus turned to look at Senna, his eyes softening as he gazed at her with affection. "The shares in Astrid's hands originally belonged to Senna. It was you who disrespectfully deprived her of her inheritance. Now I'm just repaying the favor, helping Senna take back what is rightfully hers."

"You're ruthless. You tricked Astrid out of her shares, and now you've taken her life. Astrid, you died so tragically," Mrs. Thorne sobbed.

"Either you leave on your own, or you'll be escorted out by my bodyguards. Your choice." Magnus snapped his fingers, and two cold-faced, menacing bodyguards appeared at the door, glaring like hawks.

"Honey, let's go," seeing the situation was hopeless and only getting worse, Mr. Thorne, ashamed, glanced at Senna and quickly dragged Mrs. Thorne away.

Outside, Mrs. Thorne loudly cursed, "You killed my daughter! I curse you all, may lightning strike you down, may you never rest in peace, and you'll all be buried with my daughter!"
