Chapter 59

She knew she shouldn't have fallen for him, but something about him made her feel like maybe he was the one. But how can she forget the betrayal he has done for her?

When Alpha Killian announced that he was leaving the castle for a mission, Riana's heart sank. She had grown to care for him deeply, and it felt like a piece of her was leaving with him. She knew she had to stay strong for the pack, and tried to put on a brave face, but she couldn't help but feel hurt and betrayed.

"When will he return?"she told herself.

The days that followed were hard for Riana. She was constantly reminded of Killian's absence, and struggled to keep her emotions in check. She was reminded of her vow to stay loyal to her Alpha, Diego, and tried to focus on her duties.

"Stop thinking about him,"she contradicted her mind.

"But Why I do missed him?"she asked herself, confusedly.

Riana eventually found solace in the company of her pack. They provided her with much needed support and guidance, and she was grateful for the love they showed her. She was determined to learn from her mistakes and was determined to never let her heart be controlled by her emotions again.

"Are you okay, Luna?"Melissa asked her.

"Yes I am,"she answered.

"Hmm I think you are just lying, Luna" Melissa said.

She knew that Killian's mission was important, and even though it hurt, she was glad that he was working to make the kingdom a better place. Riana was determined to stay strong and look forward to the day when Killian would return home.

"You must think of Alpha Diego,"she said to her mind.

"Are you thinking of him?" Melissa asked.

"No!"she answered panickly.

"Ohhh relax,Luna. Your obviously panicked,"Melissa smiled.

"No I'm not,"she denied.

On the other hand, Alpha Killian was in a state of distress. He had just heard the news that Riana had decided to return to Castle with Alpha Diego. He was filled with a feeling of dread and panic that he hadn't felt in a long time.

He had been so excited when he heard that she had chosen to stay with him, and he had been counting down the days until he could see her again. But now his hopes had been dashed, and he was filled with a feeling of emptiness.

Killian had been hoping that he could see her again before she left, but now he was not sure if that was possible. He had to get back to Castle as soon as possible, hoping that he could at least catch a glimpse of her before she left.

He quickly made his way to Castle, his heart racing with anticipation. But when he arrived, it was to find that Riana and Alpha Diego were already gone. Killian felt a wave of sadness wash over him. He had missed his chance to see her again, and he was deeply disappointed.

But It was just a dream. He woke up from a bad dream.

"Oh damn! What a bad dream!" He said emphatically.

Killian had to accept that he would never see Riana again. He had been so close to having her back in his life, and now it was too late. He was filled with regret, wishing he had acted sooner. But all he could do now was to look back on the happy memories they had shared together and cherish them.

Alpha Killian had been unusually quiet for the past few days. His Gamma, Alec, was concerned. He had never seen Killian so introspective and he wanted to make sure his Alpha was okay.

Alec hesitantly approached Killian while they were in the middle of their journey, asking him if he was alright. Killian blinked and seemed to wake from his thoughts, looking up at Alec with a tired expression.

"Are you okay,Alpha?"Alec asked him.

He sighed before speaking, “I’m fine, Alec. I’ve just been thinking about the future, and I’m not sure what to do about it.”

Alec could tell that Killian was struggling with something, so he decided to offer his advice. He told Killian to take it one day at a time and not to worry about the future.

Killian thanked Alec for his kindness and advice and the two of them continued their journey. While Killian was still thoughtful, the conversation had lightened his mood and he seemed to be more at ease.

But that is not what he is thinking.

Alec was relieved, knowing that his Alpha was okay. But Alpha Killian knew that he is just pretending to be fine.

Alpha Killian was determined to protect his pack no matter what. They had been observing and studying the camp of rogues for some time, keeping tabs on their movements and tactics.

But the rogues had become increasingly brazen lately and were rapidly growing in numbers. Rumors amongst the pack had started that the rogues were planning an attack. Killian knew he had to act quickly.

He gathered his pack in the woods one night and hissed out his words. “We believe the rogues have a plan to attack us,” he told the nervous faces surrounding him. “We must study their plan, know what our enemy knows.”

The pack nodded in agreement and dispersed to gather more information. As Killian scouted around he wondered if they had the strength and courage to face the rogues head on.

Their strength was tested over the coming weeks. The pack braced themselves for attack and prepared for conflict. They staged a strong defense but never lost faith.

When the day of the attack finally arrived, the rogue camp was shocked to find Alpha Killian’s pack ready and waiting. The rogues quickly retreated as the pack defended what was theirs.

Killian’s pack was victorious, and their courage and strength had proven strong enough to keep them safe. Heaving a sigh of relief, Killian looked around his pack and felt proud of what they had achieved.
