Liam’s Mate

Liam’s Mate
As the celebration continued, a gentle wind swept through the arena—carrying a strange shift in the atmosphere.
Susan, who had been standing quietly behind the crowd, suddenly stiffened.
Her chest rose sharply as a new scent hit her nose.

Pinewood... Steel, and... Fire.

Her eyes widened. At the same moment, Liam who is standing near the warriors—froze. His wolf surged violently, eyes burning bright gold.

He turned sharply. Their gazes collided.

"Mate." They both whispered it at once.

Gasps erupted... Elina clapped a hand to her mouth, shocked while Damon blinked twice, stunned. But Lucian’s jaw dropped before he recovered and muttered,

“…Well, I’ll be damned.” But then joy spread across his face like a sunrise.

His daughter… And his best warrior… were mate.

Liam approached slowly, carefully, as though Susan were a fragile flower.
Susan’s eyes filled with tears, and she ran into his arms.

The arena burst into cheers again—even louder than before.

Lucian rubbed the back of his neck and whispered to Damian,

“I'm thinking she might be too young for him but… then I realized she has come of age and if the Moon Goddess chose him, I cannot argue with her wisdom.”

Damian laughed softly. “You’ll soon have Liam as a son-in-law.”

"Congratulations Beta Lucain" Ella said with a smile

Lucian swallowed. “Well… I suppose I should start preparing myself.” Everyone laughed.

When the ceremony finally ended and the moon hung high and calm, Damon slipped his fingers into Elina’s and guided her gently toward the inner palace.

“You look exhausted,” he said softly.

She chuckled. “You marked me earlier today. I should be exhausted.”

Damon smirked, leaning closer. “Believe me, princess… I’m holding back from dragging you to my room again.”

Elina flushed red. Her wolf purred." Let him in... come on... let him in" But Elina shut her up.

As they reached her chamber door, Damon wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close.

“You’re mine now,” he murmured against her forehead, “And I’ll protect you with everything I am.”

She nodded, touched his cheek, and whispered, “And I’ll stand beside you as your Luna. Your equal.”

Their lips met gently— a soft, warm promise for the future.

He waited until she safely entered her room before leaving.

As Elina turned, she was surprised to find Theo standing by her window—hands behind his back, looking silently at the moon.

“Father?” she whispered.

Theo turned, smiling gently.“I didn’t want to interrupt earlier. I simply… wanted to see you.”

Elina approached him slowly.

Theo’s eyes softened. “You look like your mother tonight. The confidence… the glow. She would be so proud of you.”

Elina swallowed hard as her throat tightened. For years she grew up fearing Amelia… Now here stood the father she never knew she had… And yet, he felt familiar. Safe.

She gently hugged him.

Theo stiffened in surprise before his arms wrapped around her tightly—desperately—as if he feared she might disappear again.

“I’m sorry for everything,” he whispered.“For not finding you sooner. For failing you as a father.”

Elina shook her head against his chest.“You didn’t fail me. You didn’t even know I existed. And still… you’re trying now. That’s enough for me.”

Tears glistened in Theo’s eyes as he kissed her forehead.“Grow strong, my daughter… grow into the Alpha you were destined to be.” He left quietly afterward, not wanting to intrude on her night.

Later, in Damian’s study, the Alpha sat behind his desk—still dressed in ceremonial royal attire—while Lucian stood ready with parchment and ink.

Damian said,“Write a letter to Matt. Inform him that Elina has officially found her mate. And…”

Lucian dipped the quill. “And?”

“Since she is mated to my son... A date has now been chosen for Damon to be crowned Alpha—not just of our pack, but officially of all Northern Packs.”

Lucian’s eyes flickered in shock before he slowly nodded. “The Northern Region will finally have a unified Alpha… under your bloodline,” he said proudly.

Damian smiled faintly, the weight of destiny settling on his shoulders.“Let Matt know preparations must begin immediately. And that the ceremony will be conducted under the moon’s blessing.”

Lucian bowed and began writing swiftly.

Once the letter was sealed, Damian dismissed him and leaned back in his chair—eyes tired but proud.

Tonight, everything is perfect. Tonight, the threads of destiny began to align.

Letter from Damian

Beta Matt carefully broke the seal of Damian’s letter, curiosity and anticipation swirling in his chest.

As he read, his face slowly brightened with relief and joy.

“Elina… she is mated?” he whispered. A smile spread across his face. “And Damon… of course, of course. He is strong, loyal… worthy of her.”

Jihoo noticed the change “Alpha?” he asked, puzzled by the sudden brightness in his tone.

Matt held the letter high, beaming. “This is excellent news! Damian has chosen wisely. Elina is safe, her honor protected, and the North will be united under a strong bond.”

Matt called for an immediate council meeting. As the elders gathered, he read the letter aloud.

“The Alpha of Dam-Nighade Pack is now mated,” Matt announced, voice proud and steady. “Damon, the son of ShadowFang, is her chosen mate. Damian’s decision is fair, and it ensures both packs remain strong and balanced.”

A ripple of excitement ran through the elders. Some had feared political unrest after the upheaval in Theo’s family. But now, they could all breathe.

An elder spoke up, nodding gravely, “This strengthens both our packs. And more importantly… it honors the bloodline.”

Matt smiled warmly. “Exactly. This is not only a celebration of Elina and Damon but a safeguard for the North.”

The council unanimously agreed, their approval echoing through the hall. A day for Damon’s official crowning as Alpha of both packs was scheduled, and everyone left the meeting filled with hope and pride.

Word spread swiftly through Dam-Nighade Pack.

Warriors, elders, and commoners alike celebrated the news. “Elina is mated! Damon is her mate!” The words carried like wildfire, filling hearts with admiration and joy.

Even those who had been saddened by the upheaval in Theo’s family found comfort knowing that justice had been served, and the Northern Pack’s leadership was strong and fair.

Matt sent a confirmation letter back to Damian with reports on the pack’s mood and preparations. Damian’s swift and wise leadership was praised by all.
