Mate Bond (2)
Mate Bond (2)
Damon lifts her in one smooth motion and carried her toward the bed, their lips never parting. The room filled with their mingled breaths, soft gasps, and the deep rumble of Damon’s wolf vibrating under his skin.
Clothes fell away— soft sounds of fabric hitting the floor, revealing warm skin, flushed cheeks, trembling breaths.
Elina lay beneath him, eyes wide and shining like she was seeing him for the first time. Damon hovered over her, brushing his thumb along her cheek.
“Elina…” he whispered, voice rough.
His wolf howled in desperate reverence.
She reached up and touched his jaw, her voice barely a breath. “Damon… I want this. I want you.” That was all he needed.
He kissed her again—slow, deep, like a worship before trailing his mouth down her throat, down to the soft curve of her breast.
Elina arched into him, fingers sliding through his hair as his lips closed around her peak.
Her breath broke into a soft moan.
He kissed lower... Then higher.
Every touch was deliberate, reverent, passionate as if mapping the body he had longed for without ever knowing why.
When he finally entered her, Elina gasped—
and Damon froze, trembling with the effort to stay gentle.
“Are you okay?” he breathed, cupping her face.
She nodded, pulling him closer. “Don’t stop.”
He moved—slow at first, letting her adjust—
and then deeper, guided by her soft whimpers and the tightening of her arms around him.
The world melted around them while the bed creaked softly beneath their rhythm. Her nails scored his back as her breath shook against his neck.
The mate bond intensified everything—
every kiss hotter, every touch sharper,
every movement perfectly in sync.
When Elina cried his name, Damon lost control. His wolf surged through him, and he leaned down, lips brushing her neck— The right corner. The marking place.
“Elina…” he whispered, breath hot on her skin. “Let me claim you.”
“Yes,” she breathed, tears glistening in her eyes. “Yes, Damon.”
His canines elongated, and with one swift, heated motion— He marked her.
Elina’s wolf erupted at the sensation—her back arched, her breath caught, her fingers dug into Damien’s shoulders as the mark sealed their bond, tying their souls together forever.
Damon held her tightly as he marked her, as if shielding her from the entire world.
When the bond settled, warm and pulsing between their chests, Damon kissed her again—this time slow, tender, full of adoration.
They fell asleep in each other’s arms, bodies entwined, breaths soft.
Ten Minutes Later…
A soft knock pulled them from sleep.
“Alpha Damon,” a maid called through the door. “Your father requests your presence immediately.” She left before he could respond.
Elina opened her eyes—and the full realization of what had happened washed over both of them.
She touched his mark on her neck, blush spreading across her cheeks.
Damon touched her face. “Elina…” he whispered.
She swallowed. “Damon… I’ve loved you for… for a long time. Since before I even understood what love was.”
His eyes softened, melting into warmth.
“I love you,” he said, voice thick with certainty. “I’ll protect you, support you, respect you… always. As my mate. As my everything.”
She leaned into his hand, smiling with shy, overwhelming joy.
He kissed her forehead gently— a promise instead of passion this time.
They dressed. Elina hurried out first, heading to her room to prepare for the mating ceremony.
Damon quickly washed and dressed before rushing to his parents’ chamber.
He found Damian and Ella in their sitting room— whispering excitedly and giggling like mischievous children. But the moment Damon walked in, they straightened instantly, wearing overly neutral faces.
He frowned. “Good evening, Father” he said cautiously." Good evening, Mom"
“Good evening,” they both answered at the same time— too sweetly... Too warmly.
Damon blinked. His suspicion grew more.
Then the door opened behind him. Elina walked in. Beautiful and radiant.
Dressed for the ceremony, her mark still fresh and glowing faintly.
Damon’s wolf practically pushed out of his skin.
Ella smiled broadly— eyes shining with pride.
Damian cleared his throat. “Well,” he said, amusement leaking into his voice, “It seems our Elina has found her mate.”
He paused, grin widening. “And that mate… is no other person than Damon.”
Damon finally understood their earlier smirks. He exhaled, smiling sheepishly.
Elina blushed deeply. Damian gestured for them both to kneel.
They did. He placed his hands on their heads. “May the Moon Goddess bless your bond, strengthen your hearts, and guide your future together.”
When they rose, he added, “Now, let's go. The ceremony must still be attended.”
The pack arena was already roaring with excitement, filled with wolves hopeful, nervous, or heartbroken.
But when the Alpha and his family arrived—
silence swept the space.
Everyone bowed deeply.
Susan ran forward, beaming.“Damon! You’re here!” She threw her arms around him. She too, has come of age.
Elina’s eyes sharpened—a flash of possessive wolf intensity. Her glare could have burned through steel.
Susan froze, shocked. She had never seen Elina look at her like that.
Damian smirked knowingly.
Susan slowly released Damon from her hug, her eyes flicking between him and the suddenly cold, territorial expression on Elina’s face. Confusion swept across her features.
“E-Elina… why are you looking at me like that?” she whispered.
Elina didn’t respond. She didn’t need to.
Her wolf did. A low, subtle growl rolled from her chest—quiet but unmistakable.
The closest wolves immediately took a step back. Susan’s mouth fell open.
Damon gently took Elina’s hand, pulling her closer to him in a protective gesture.
His touch alone grounded her, calming the fierce wave of mate-bond possessiveness.
Just then, Lucian and Liam stepped forward from their position, smirking knowingly.
Susan blinked, still shocked. “Damon…?”
Damon sighed softly, glancing at Elina with a smile so warm it melted every doubt in her chest.
“She’s my mate, Susan.” Gasps rippled across the arena. Whispers spread like wildfire.
“Elina?”
“She’s Damon’s mate?”
“They’re perfect together…”
“Wait—she’s the future Alpha too!”
“Two powerful wolves… what a bond!”
Susan’s lips parted slightly in skock, but after a moment she nodded—sadness flickering behind her polite smile. “Oh… well, congratulations,” she said softly, stepping back with grace.
Elina relaxed immediately, Her wolf giggles then settled back. While Damon’s thumb brushed her knuckles gently—a silent thank you for holding herself together.
Damian stepped forward, commanding silence with nothing more than a lift of his hand.
“Tonight,” he said, voice deep and carrying across the entire arena, “is a night of celebration. Not only do our young wolves come of age… but the Moon Goddess has blessed us with a union.”
He paused, eyes scanning the crowd.“My son, Damon, has found his mate.”
Cheers erupted instantly. Excited howls rose into the night sky.
“And she…” Damian continued, smiling proudly at Elina, “is none other than Elina—the heir of Dam-Nighade Pack and the future Alpha chosen by destiny itself.”
Another wave of cheers thundered across the arena. Wolves stomped their feet.
Elders nodded with approval. The mood lifted like wildfire catching wind.
Ella stepped closer to Elina and whispered,
“You already belong to this pack… to this family. And now, to my son. Welcome, sweetheart.”
Elina smiled shyly, warmth spreading through her." Thank you, Mom"
The Moon Stone ignited its pale, silver glow as the ritual drums began.
Young she-wolves and males stepped forward, each hopeful to experience the spark of recognition.
Some pairs gasped in joy— crying “Mate!” and collapsing into each other’s arms.
Others walked away heartbroken, knowing the Moon Goddess had destined them for someone not present tonight.
Damon and Elina watched quietly, fingers intertwined, their bond pulsing warmly between them.
Lucian leaned toward Damian.“Do you think Liam will find his mate tonight?”
Damian exhaled slowly. “Tonight would be a blessing… the poor man has waited long.”
Liam, standing alone near the front, looked composed but hopeful—eyes scanning faces with silent prayer.
