Chapter Eighty-One: Lost Memories.

Chapter Eight-One: Lost Memories.

WHEN Shiloh turned into a wolf, she didn’t attack anyone. Instead, she attacked Alistair!

“What is happening?” Loki asked in confusion.

“Her wolf didn’t die. That’s why when she turned herself into a wolf, her wolf remembers everything,” Nox replied.

In Nox's expression, he wanted to help his son. But he didn’t do that. He remained silent, standing there while Shiloh is killing Alistair. When Alistair’s body fell to the ground, he faced everyone. His eyes were looking into his father, it was emotionless. Until… he breathed his last breath.

Shiloh stopped attacking Alistair when she felt that he wasn’t breathing. Her wolf was still panting… that’s when she returned to her human form. Loki quickly run towards her when she fell on the ground naked. While Nox told his men to get Alistair’s body.

It was a heartbreaking scene for all of them. After every mess was cleared, Loki together with the three Alpha went inside the palace so they could talk with Elder Nox.

Elder Nox was sitting at the end of the long table, he was ready for everything that they will demand because of the damage that Alistair did to the pack.

“Queen Shiloh can’t recognize me when she was in normal. But when she turned into a wolf, that’s when she recognize me. What am I going to do with that?” Loki asked.

It is a big problem that Queen Shiloh can’t recognize everyone. What about her daughters? The country? And what about him?

“I will do everything to bring back all of her memories but it is not a hundred percent sure that I can get it all back.”

“Why?”

“If she refused my power, she won’t be able to bring it back.”

“What? I don’t understand.”

“It’s in her. Usually, someone who has a traumatic life won’t be able to gain it back… I’m sure it wasn’t traumatic.”

Loki pressed his lips. He knows that Shiloh didn’t have a good life. But there are their daughters… even if she doesn't remember him, he just wishes that she will be able to remember their daughters who are now waiting for her.

“You should also talk to her often…” Nox added. “If you need anything, you can talk to me directly. I will offer you everything that I can.”

Harry raised his hand. “Because of Loki’s persistence, Alistair didn't cause much problem aside from the death of people who were exposed to the gemstones.”

“We can't bring back those who are dead…”

Loki stood up. “It’s fine. It is not like I can force you to make them live again. We’ll get back here the next day for Shiloh’s therapy with you.”

“Thank you for understanding, King Alpha…”

“I haven't forgiven you, and the whole vampires. But for the sake of everyone, I have to stop now.”

After that, he took Shiloh with him and left the meeting room of their palace. The rest of the Alphas followed him all the way back to their cars.

“At least we prevented a war…” George said. “I can't imagine how disastrous it would be if he reached the point that the Queen turned into a hybrid.”

“She's a hybrid now,” Harry replied. “But her wolf still remembers everything that she has to remember.”

“At least there's a chance that she can still remember everything back,” Landon replied.

Loki went inside of their car as soon as Shiloh went in. In the drive seat, he looked back at her and saw the emotionless in her eyes. It was dead.

“Shiloh…” he called her. But she didn't respond. She was just staring at nothing. “Don’t worry, My Queen. I will make sure you'll get everything back.”

He started the engine and then continued driving. Truth was, he badly wanted to hug her.

It was the first time, tears were starting to fall down on his cheeks. He kept on wiping it off. If he knows that this will happen, he will never distance himself to her.

It is such a waste that he distances himself, that he puts his ego first before his wife. Now he realized that ego would break a relationship apart.

The sun was ready to rise, that's when they finally came back to the palace. They left with ten pack warriors but only eight survived. The two died because of the battle.

“The King Alpha and Queen are back!” The royal guards shouted.

The gate opened and the car entered the palace. Maidservants and Royal Guards gathered and bowed before them.

Then Beta Lincoln and Caroline were in the front door, waiting for them.

“Queen Shiloh!” Caroline shouted and then towards her.

But when she was about to hug her, she was surprised to see the coldness in her face.

“What happened?” Caroline asked then glanced at Loki.

Loki shook his head. “Alistair successfully made her into a hybrid… but he wasn't able to make her his puppet.”

“Was that a good thing?”

“That’s a good thing but on the other hand, she didn't remember us,” Loki replied. “Where are our daughters?”

Caroline felt bad for Shiloh. She stared at her with worry, as well as Loki. She knew that Loki was just hiding his emotions but based on his eyes, she can sense that he’s not in good shape.

“They are in their room…” Caroline replied. “Come on, let’s go there so you can take a rest too.”

Caroline helped Shiloh on their way inside the palace while Loki stayed beside Lincoln.

“How was the palace while we’re not here?” Loki asked.

“The palace is good. You have nothing to worry…” Lincoln replied. “But I’m pretty sure you're not good.”

Loki sighed. “Though Shiloh is fine, I still can't accept the fact that she lost all her memories…”

“Aren’t you worried about her being a hybrid?”

“It is nothing to worry about, her wolf still remembers everything.”

“How did that happen?”

“I didn't know either. But I’m afraid once she showed her vampire side…” Loki added. “I’m hoping that she will recover right away. Because seeing her like this is making me insane.”
