Chapter Eighty: Failed.

WHEN Shiloh met Loki’s eyes, he couldn't move right then. He was just staring at her, hoping that she would recognize him. Thinking that if she remained looking through her eyes, all of her memories would flash back… but…

Alistair interrupted them. He quickly ran towards Shiloh and looked into her eyes.

“My Queen, this is me, Alistair!” he shouted.

But Shiloh seemed to not recognize him. It seemed what Loki did was effective. Because Shiloh remained there, looking at Alistair without any emotions.

“Come on! Talk to me and tell me that I am your King—”

Alistair wasn't able to finish his words when Shiloh quickly grabbed his neck. Alistair tried to get away from her grip but Shiloh didn't let him, she kept on choking him while he caught his own breath.

It was devastating for Alistair. He waited for this moment to come for one hundred years and now it was over! Now everything that he did will go to waste!

His body weakened as he kneeled on the ground. As soon as he passed out, a bat flew in front of them and then it turned into a vampire.

The elder vampire who talked to Loki appeared in front of them.

Shiloh tried to approach him but Loki stopped her.

“No, don't!” He stopped her.

It seemed like Shiloh would follow him instead of Alistair because he was the one she saw the moment she woke up.

“I apologize for what Alistair did to all of you, Loki. He hypnotized all of us when he woke up.”

“Apologize?” Loki scoffed. “You want to apologize now that my wife became a hybrid werewolf and vampire? She doesn't recognize me anymore!” he shouted.

He was so frustrated. This will not be solved with just a simple apology!

The elder vampire lifted Alistair’s body and pushed back inside of the coffin. The coffin closed and then locked before the elder looked at Loki.

“I know everything that he did. And I really apologize for it. Your wife may not be able to go back as a werewolf only but I can help her regain her memory.”

“There are lots of us who died because of what Alistair did! It wasn't enough! You should kill that bastard and not let him wake up again!” he shouted.

“We will burn his body… just please ask them to stop attacking our territory. Everyone is devastated. Please, King Alpha!” The elder vampire dropped to his knees and pleaded. “Alistair is my son. And it’s hard for me to kill him but if it is the only way to stop him from doing this, I have no choice but to burn him.”

“Stand up!” Loki shouted. “Don’t kneel. Come with me and stop them.”

Elder vampire looked up at him and then immediately stood up from the ground. Loki wants to know if this vampire is trustworthy so he agrees to him.

“Do you know that our Elder Damon died because of what Alistair did? Where have you been all this time?”

“He hypnotized everyone in the palace. After he used me to take your wife from the South Verlice, I was in the dungeon, he imprisoned me there.”

“How could a son do that to his father?” Loki asked.

“He said he loves me, that’s why he was doing this. But for me, being in peace is more reasonable than being on top but there are lots of people trying to drag you down…”

Loki didn’t question him any more. The moment they went out of the palace, they saw how miserable everyone was.

“Everyone, stop!” Loki shouted.

It was in chaos. There are dead and injured all around which is terrifying.

“This is what your son did,” Loki said.

The elder vampire, Nox bowed his head to everyone.

“When one of you was released by hypnotism, he released me. I know that you are all awakened from the hypnotism that Alistair made. Please, stop fighting on them, this is not what I want…”

Every vampire started to calm down as they started to realize what they have done.

“King Alpha Loki, I don’t know that this would happen. Please, we have to continue the agreement that we have.”

“Excuse me!” Landon shouted. “Alistair have done a big damage to us. Do you know that our eldest died because of what happened? And now, our Queen has turned into a hybrid!”

“I will make up all of the things that we’ve caused. I am planning to kill Alistair so he won’t come back again—”

“Who are you going to kill?”

Everyone looked at their back. Alistair was behind them. Shuts of thunder rumbled in the sky as he went down the stairs.

They all looked at him, including the elder Nox.

“My son, please. This is enough. You have damaged a lot! You need to stop now!” Nox shouted.

“No! Until we haven’t reached the top, I am not allowed to stop!” Alistair shouted and then glanced at Shiloh. “My Queen, come here. Come and be with your King…”

Shiloh who was standing there glowed her eyes red. Loki was surprised to see how Shiloh acted. It shouldn’t be this way.

“No, Shiloh… no, you can’t be with him—”

He wasn’t able to finish what he was saying when Shiloh pushed him away. It was so hard that he was pushed to the ground. Alpha Harry quickly rescued him.

“No, Shiloh!” Loki shouted.

Shiloh continued on walking on her way to Alistair. No one intends to attack Alistair because Shiloh is walking mindlessly toward him.

And it pained Loki a lot. It’s hard for him to see his wife going to another man. While Alistair was smiling devilishly, he was there devastated.

“Come to me, my Queen. We will lead the world together!”

Shiloh finally stood beside Alistair and took his hand.

Bats flew around them as the cloud started to dark, thunderstorms made it more terrifying.

“Now, My Queen! Bring out your power, I want you to show them what you’ve got!”

Shiloh’s eyes turned red, hairs grew through her body as she started to turn into his wolf form. Her fangs grew larger.

Loki immediately stood up. “I have to stop this!”

“No, don’t.” Elder Nox said. “It seemed like Alistair failed.”
