Chapter 225
DACIANA'S POV
----
Rays of sunlight flashed into my eyes and I was forced to open them.
I didn't know how long I had been asleep nor did I want to know as I could care less about it.
The last thing I could remember was losing consciousness after making sure the wolves lost us.
But wait, what was that awesome power cruising through me at that time?
Wait, something was not right, I frowned.
My feet weren't on the floor but I was moving, my body seemed to be suspended on something rigid.
Immediately I came back to my senses as I realized it was Conri who was carrying me.
Even though I was on his back, it didn't seem to reduce the speed at which he was moving.
Looking around I noticed the surroundings were quite familiar. This should be the forest surrounding Dorian's kingdom.
But how did we get here so fast, it had only been a night.
If my guess was correct, Conri should have been traveling throughout the night.
My heart couldn't help but ache as I thought of how tired he must be at the moment.
It wasn't a little job for one to travel throughout the night without a single stop.
Even though I didn't know how he had gotten the motivation to travel throughout the night I knew it must be tough on him.
"I'm awake now, can you drop me," I muttered slowly hoping he was going to hear me.
And much to my amazement, he stopped and then dropped me slowly.
"How are you feeling?" He asked with a smile.
"I'm fine." He replied.
Even though he said he was fine, I could see the fatigue in his eyes.
"Let's stop for a moment, I'm sure you're tired," I smiled hoping she was going to listen to me.
Conri nodded and didn't say anything. He just looked for a spot and sat down.
Before I knew it Conri was asleep and I could hear his faint snore from where I was standing.
I couldn't help but sigh when I saw this, he was just a beta but had taken the stress to carry me throughout the night while traveling at the same time.
I wouldn't have been worried if he was an alpha, but he wasn't. His stamina was lacking when compared to Alphas.
Suddenly my stomach rumbled as a pang of hunger hit me. It was then I remembered I had taken anything since the day before.
I looked around and saw some trees bearing fruit. Without wasting any second I plucked the fruits and began munching on them not caring if it was poisonous.
I glanced at Conri who was snoring softly and couldn't imagine the pain he had gone through while I was asleep.
But then my fainting was another blessing as we wouldn't have been able to reach here if I hadn't fainted.
My heart was filled with gratitude to Conri even though I didn't know how to express him.
Well, I might as well wait for him to wake up before we break into the palace.
Since we were here it wasn't going to be a problem anyway. All I had to do was to be careful so no one was going to see us.
Thinking about this, I chanted some spells, and immediately our presence was concealed.
Except if the other party was a witch we wouldn't be discovered.
I had to plan what I was going to do next now that I was here.
It was now that it suddenly occurred to me that I had no way of finding Dorian.
The palace was rather big and I wouldn't have the luxury of using a search spell.
I had to think of something, there must be a way that I would be able to search for Dorian in the huge castle without being noticed.
Even though I was trying to rack my brain, nothing was coming, my head was blank at the moment.
I wouldn't say it's blank but rather filled with strange thoughts I knew I needed going to comply with.
I sighed and looked around hoping to have an idea but no nothing came.
Well, then I couldn't be angry as I knew I was just out of ideas for a moment.
I knew the ideas were going to come rushing back soon and I was sure of it.
But when the ideas were going to come back, I didn't have much time.
Seeing that I had no idea what to do, I lay on the huge stone and began to think of my life.
How it had gone from sweet to bitter and then sweet again and then it went bitter.
Well, I couldn't blame anyone, it was my fate that caused it. If I wasn't destined with such terrible stuff all this wouldn't have happened.
Well since I was destined with something terrible I had to keep trying to overturn my fate no matter what.
I glanced at the blue sky which seemed rather peaceful at the moment.
The sky had some white clouds lingering over which made it even more beautiful.
I had to appreciate the beauty of nature no matter what. Maybe mother nature was going to get some ideas.
Well, I had to think carefully.
"Daciana, let's go." A voice suddenly called to me, jolting me out of my thoughts.
I looked over only to see Conri looking at me with a smile. He seemed to be energetic after taking an hour's nap.
I nodded and stood from where I lay. It was time to save Dorian, but then I didn't have any plans I was going to use.
Wasn't it the same as delivering myself into the enemy's hands?
Suddenly I froze even before I moved as I could feel a huge spatial fluctuation. It was so powerful and so large that my body couldn't stop shaking.
What the hell was happening? Who the hell was moving something that required much power?
And How powerful is the person who caused this?
