Chapter 226
WRITER'S POV
-----
Laura looked at the soldiers who had assembled in her front. It was time to wreak havoc.
It was time for revenge. They were going to set out right now.
She wasn't going to waste the soldiers' strength and was good at directly teleporting them to the Alverest Kingdom which sounded better.
Teleporting the number of people in her front shouldn't be a problem.
She was sure the Alpha king must have received the little gift she sent to him.
She was sure he would be expecting her at the moment. Well, she wasn't in a hurry, all she hoped was that he would be able to give her a good fight so that she was going to enjoy the torture.
No matter how strong he was, there was no chance he was going to win.
Although she could feel that the number of people under her control was dwindling as time went by she wasn't surprised.
With the strength he had, if he wasn't able to take them down before she got there she was going to be disappointed.
Also, it was going to mean that he wasn't a Worthy opponent and she was going to kill him directly.
Even his casual release of aura should be enough to make her lose comfortable with most people.
Well, time was good to tell if he was formidable as she had thought. The excitement of meeting such a powerful enemy was making her get excited and she was like a kid who was given candy.
Soon it was going to be time and they were going to head there.
But then it would have been more fun if she had been able to control more people.
If not because it couldn't wait any longer she would have waited until everyone in the kingdom was under her control except the Alpha king.
And that was because his defense was just too solid.
It would also be hard to get past his mate as she too was also ridiculously strong.
She couldn't wait to see the Alpha king's expression if that was going to happen.
Even if he was capable of fighting all of them off he was going to be exhausted.
But then it was going to be boring as it would take a long time.
"It's time to tell your men to get ready," Laura said to the general who was by her side.
"It's finally about time to get the paint of blood."
-----
Ashina walked through the forest heading to a location only she knew.
Now that chance had finally presented itself, how was she going to let it go?
Just now before she came, she was successful in adding the potion to Laura's drink.
She knew Laura was heading to the Alverest Kingdom so she was coming here to tell the witch to see if there was any chance of succeeding.
Soon she got to the place and was surprised by the veiled figure waiting for her.
"How do you know I was coming?" Ashina frowned as she was in a momentary shock.
"We'll attack once Laura is back from Alverest Kingdom, she should be weak already." The veiled figure chuckled, not caring to answer Ashina's question.
"Go ahead and make some preparation, take this, and pour it on the people you trust.
Laura's spell is going to be broken and they'll recover their memories." The figure continued handing a bottle of dark liquid to Ashina.
"Also don't forget, just a drop." The veiled figure smiled before vanishing.
Ashina stood on the spot rooted to the floor not knowing what to do.
The witch had given her a lot of shock and she didn't know what to do.
Her mind was not stable and she didn't know if she should return to the palace or escape.
After deliberating it for some time, Ashina turned around slowly and headed to the palace.
She had to bite the bullet or else they were never going to be free.
She was the one who caused it in the first place so she had to rewrite her wrongs.
---
The head maid shivered in fear when she heard the voice and the next thing she knew was that she was flung away.
Just before she could land she felt another hand catching her but before she could sigh in relief snapping of bones was heard and she yelled in pain.
The next thing she knew was that she was flung away and hit the wall.
"Honey, stop, it's not her fault," A voice sounded at that moment.
It turned out that the Alpha king had decided to go check on his mate to see if she was also not being controlled as it would be hard to bring her back if she was.
Even though that couldn't happen he still felt it was better to check.
Appearing in Ana's room, he coincidentally saw the head maid and had thundered for her to stop then appeared behind her and flung her away.
Ana, who also happened to have heard Bryan's cry, rushed over and saw what the maid was about to do, but it was quite late.
Luckily her mate appeared in time and flung the head maid toward her.
If not for the fact that the Alpha king had spoken up she would have thought she trusted the wrong person.
The Alpha king looked at Ana and quickly explained what was happening.
Even though Ana volunteered to help, the Alpha king stopped her and pointed at Bryan who was still crying that she needed to stay with him.
Also, she needed to stay alive In case something happened to him.
This time the Alpha king knew that whatever was coming wasn't on a small scale as the enemy had already made the kingdom go into chaos before they arrived.
Ana had no choice this time but to listen to the mate's arrangements.
She took Bryan from the cradle and fed him after the Alpha king had gone and soon he was asleep.
The Alpha king Smirked as he looked around, it was time to get serious.
The next moment he directly released his vast aura knocking all the possessed ones unconscious.
He knew this wasn't the beginning, the aim of the other party was just to weaken the soldiers of his kingdom which were successful.
"They've arrived." He muttered and disappeared.
"Won't you welcome your guest?" A feminine voice sounded sending shivers down the spine of all those present.
