GIGI'S POV
As I sat there, staring blankly at the wall, my mind was consumed with thoughts of escape. The pressure was getting too much for me to bear. Leo's insult had left me feeling numb, but it wasn't the first time, nor would it be the last. I was used to it by now. But the weight of not knowing was like a constant headache that wouldn't go away.
I knew he was doing all that because he thought I was desperate to become his Luna, but I had no interest in being tied down to him. The worst part was that he made it seem like if I didn't become his Luna, I wouldn't survive. It was ridiculous, and I was tired of it.
I had been contemplating leaving the pack and going anywhere, even if it meant being a slave. At least I would be sure of my status, unlike here, where I am constantly walking on eggshells. I couldn't take it anymore. And this should not be this way till I am old.
"I don't even think I will get old based on what I am seeing because I might develop a heart attack before then and die," I muttered to myself. I knew it was a dark thought, but things were spiraling out of control, and I didn't know what else to do.
The pack had already begun having issues, and I couldn't help but think that my presence was the cause. Little did they know that their so-called Lycan was the real problem. I knew it, but I didn't dare say it out loud.
I sought solace in Juliet, Leo's sister, and told her about Leo's plans to train me. I was happy about it, but deep down, I knew he was going to use it to his advantage. Juliet looked at me with widened eyes and asked if I was sure I could stand his training.
But I knew what I had to do. I had to go through with it, no matter the cost. I was ready for whatever was coming my way, even if it meant enduring Leo's wickedness. I couldn't let him break me, no matter how hard he tried.
As I sat there listening to Juliet's words, I couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort wash over me. It was as if her words were a shield, protecting me from the uncertainties of life. She assured me that she would always be there to help me pull through anything and that I shouldn't hide anything from her or her sister, Jade.
Jade, on the other hand, entered the room with a strong face, but I could tell from her demeanor that something was bothering her. Her eyes were red and swollen, as if she had been crying for hours. She burst out, "I don't like the way Leo is treating us like slaves in this pack."
Juliet asked her what had happened, but Jade kept quiet for a while, trying to calm herself down. Finally, she spoke up and recounted how Leo had commanded her to go and make food for him and even threatened to lock her up if she refused to obey him.
"If I were you, I'd tell him to do his worst," Juliet said in a strong voice. "Maybe he's forgotten what happened to him." She stood up, ready to face Leo, but Jade stopped her.
"Don't go, please," Jade said in a calm voice. "Let it slide." Let's wait for the next time he does it."
As I sat there, I couldn't help but admire Juliet's courage and determination. She was a force to be reckoned with, and I knew that she would always have my back. It was because of her and Jade that I still had hope to stay in this pack.
But as I looked at Jade's tear-streaked face, I couldn't help but wonder what would happen next. Would Leo continue to treat us like slaves? Would Juliet be able to stand up to him? And what about me? Would I have the strength to face whatever challenges lay ahead?
As I walked into the room, I couldn't help but notice the change that had come over Juliet and Jade. Normally, they would be at each other's throats, always arguing and bickering about something or other. But today, they seemed to be on the same page, working together in harmony. It was a sight that I had never seen before, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and wonder at the transformation that had taken place.
Juliet was sitting on the bed, her back propped up against the pillows, as she recounted the events of the morning to Jade. Leo had rejected her offer, she said, simply because they had not followed his commands. It was a typical Leo move, one to which we had all grown accustomed by now. But what struck me was how calm and composed Juliet seemed as she spoke, as if she had accepted the rejection without any bitterness or resentment.
Jade, on the other hand, seemed to be the voice of reason in the room. She was the one who was trying to calm Juliet down and make her see reason. I couldn't help but admire her for that, for being the mature one in the room and not letting her emotions get the better of her.
Then the conversation turned to me. Juliet told Jade what I had told her earlier: that Leo had agreed to train me personally. Jade looked at me with concern in her eyes and asked if I could handle the pressure. I told her that I had made up my mind and was willing to do whatever it took.
As we talked, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation building up inside me. This was my chance to prove myself and to show everyone that I was capable of being a great person. I knew that Leo would be tough on me and that he would push me to my limits, but I was ready for the challenge.
Then, the conversation took a darker turn. Jade asked Juliet why she hadn't seen Angel since the day she left the pack. Juliet just smiled and dismissed her with a wave of her hand. I could sense the tension in the room, the unspoken words that hung in the air. It was clear that there was some kind of history between them, something that had caused a rift in their relationship.
But then Juliet turned to me, and the warmth in her eyes was unmistakable. "This is the Luna of this pack," she said, as she placed a hand on my shoulder. "And nobody can stop it."
I felt a surge of pride and confidence as those words sank in. I knew that I had a long way to go and that there were many challenges ahead of me, but I also knew that I had the support of Jade and Juliet behind me. And with that thought in my mind,
As the conversation turned towards Brandon, my cue to leave the room arrived. But just as I turned to make my escape, Juliet's voice stopped me in my tracks.
"Why are you always like this?" she asked, a hint of confusion in her tone.
I turned to face the two girls and gave them a small smile. "I don't want to talk about men," I said simply. "It's not my thing."
Jade rolled her eyes. "You're just using Leo as an excuse again," she said with a laugh.
I couldn't help but grin. They knew me too well. "Well, he could call me for training at any moment," I said, hoping to convince them. "And I don't want to give him any excuses to be hard on me."
They both waved me off, urging me to go and get ready. I left them to their talk of Brandon and made my way back to my room.
As I sat on my bed, thoughts of Leo filled my mind. He was a tough trainer, and I knew that this upcoming period was going to be grueling. I needed to be at my best, both physically and mentally.
But even as I braced myself for the challenge ahead, my mind couldn't help but wander back to the conversation I had just left behind. I wasn't interested in talking about love or romance. That wasn't my style.
