GIGI'S POV
Tears cascaded down my cheeks, refusing to be held back by my willpower. I tried to stop them, to swallow my emotions and the shame that had overtaken me, but my efforts were fruitless. I was not crying because I saw them kiss; in fact, Leo was not worth a second of my time. I would never choose someone like him as a mate, not in this life or any other.
No, I was crying because of the constant humiliation that came with being in Leo's presence. I had done everything to make him notice me and treat me as a human being, but he always kept bullying me. Even in his supposed good behavior towards everyone, he couldn't spare a shred of decency for me.
I couldn't let Juliet and Jade see me crying, so I took the food they gave me to deliver to Leo to my room and dropped it there. I needed to be alone to gather my emotions and compose myself. But as I sat there on the floor, I could hear Juliet's voice calling out for me. I didn't answer, hoping she would leave me alone.
But she walked to her brother's room, probably to see if he knew where I was. I heard her ask Leo if he had seen me, to which he responded with a cruel jibe, saying that his eyes weren't meant to see ghosts. It was then that I realized that my invisibility to him was intentional—his deliberate way of belittling me.
Juliet raised her voice at him, asking what he meant by that, and he replied with even more spite, saying that maybe I had gone to kill myself because that was what I deserved. I could feel the anger and sadness churning within me as I heard his words.
Juliet left his room and started coming towards mine, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. I wanted to hide, to disappear, but I knew that even if I did, it wouldn't solve anything. Juliet and Jade were the only ones who stood up for me, who saw me as a person and not just a punching bag for Leo's cruel jokes.
As she opened the door, she found me sitting on the floor, tears streaming down my face. She rushed to me and hugged me tightly, her warmth and affection a balm to my wounded soul. She sat with me on the floor, her gentle words and kind gestures slowly lifting the cloud of sadness that had enveloped me.
Juliet's voice rang in my head as I watched her plead with me to forgive her brother. But how could I forgive someone who was making my life a living hell? Someone who had made it his mission to make everything difficult for me? The constant torment and harassment had worn me down to the point where I often wondered why I was still alive. I had seen death many times, witnessed things that could easily have killed me, yet I was still here, breathing and existing. I wished I could just end it all and be free from the pain and suffering.
As we made our way to the kitchen, Jade spotted me and moved to send Angel out. But Juliet stopped her, and I couldn't even bring myself to eat despite my hunger. It was as if the hunger had just vanished, leaving me empty and hollow inside.
We entered Brandon's room, hoping to check on him and give him something to eat. But as we passed Leo's room, we heard Angel screaming in pleasure.
"Yeah, I love it. Please make it harder."
The sound hit my belly and made my blood boil with anger. I couldn't bear it and quickly walked past the room, determined to put an end to Angel's constant presence in our lives.
"I will make sure that idiot stops coming to this place," Juliet declared, her anger written all over her face. "There's nothing that will make Leo make him his Luna." If they like, let them have sex from now till the end of the world."
As we finally arrived in Brandon's room, he was already awake but too weak to stand up. Jade and Juliet were ecstatic to see him awake, but it was Juliet who looked as if she had just seen the most high king. She placed his food on the table and began to feed him, her love and adoration for him evident in every movement.
Despite the chaos that surrounded us, I couldn't help but marvel at the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
I knew I was supposed to go for training, but I just couldn't find the reason why I should waste my time on something that wouldn't benefit me in any way. I needed to be alone to clear my head and think straight. So I told Jade and Juliet that I was going for the training, and they accepted.
But instead of heading to the training, I decided to go to a nearby bush. The idea of being surrounded by nature always calmed me down. And so I started walking inside the bush, enjoying the cool, calm atmosphere and listening to the sweet melodies of the birds.
As I was walking, I suddenly saw something that looked like a rogue. Memories of the torture and pain I had gone through at their hands flooded my mind. I stopped in my tracks and hid behind a tree, hoping they hadn't seen me. I wasn't as weak as I used to be, but I didn't want to take any chances.
As I was hiding, I heard a rustling sound behind me. I turned around slowly and saw another rogue staring at me. My heart skipped a beat as I realized I was surrounded. I stood up and tried to run, but the rogue I was hiding from was already in front of me. I turned back and saw the other one chasing me as well.
I ran as fast as I could, my heart pounding in my chest. It felt like they had a renewed power that I had never seen before. But I didn't stop. I couldn't afford to. I had said earlier that I wanted to end my life, but not this way. My body wasn't meant for rejected people like them.
I could feel their hot breath on my neck as they closed in on me. But just when I thought it was all over, I saw a ray of light shining through the trees. I didn't know what it was, but I knew it was my only chance. I veered off the path and ran towards the light.
As I got closer, I saw that it was a small clearing. And in the middle of the clearing was a small pond. Without thinking, I jumped into the pond and swam to the other side. The rogues were hot on my heels, but they couldn't swim.
I climbed out of the pond and ran as fast as I could. I didn't stop until I was sure I was far away from the rogues. I collapsed on the ground, gasping for air, my heart still pounding in my chest.
My heart was pounding in my chest as I looked around the unfamiliar place. Everything seemed so foreign and out of place, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was completely alone. The silence was deafening, broken only by the sound of my own labored breathing as I struggled to stand up.
As I stumbled forward, my eyes locked onto the stunning scenery that surrounded me. It was as if I had been transported to another world entirely, one that was both awe-inspiring and unsettling all at once. The landscape stretched out before me, a wild expanse of rugged hills and misty valleys that seemed to go on forever.
For a moment, I forgot about my fear and uncertainty as I took it all in. The beauty of the place was almost overwhelming, and I couldn't help but wonder how such a wondrous place could have gone unnoticed for so long.
But as I continued to explore, my sense of unease grew. It was as if something was lurking just out of sight, waiting for me to let my guard down. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched, and I found myself constantly glancing over my shoulder, half-expecting to see some kind of danger lurking in the shadows.
As I approached a small native house that seemed to have been abandoned for years, my heart was pounding in my chest. It looked like the kind of place that would be home to all sorts of dangerous creatures, and I couldn't help but wonder if I was making a terrible mistake by getting any closer.
But something inside me urged me forward, and before I knew it, I was standing right in front of the door. My hand trembling, I slowly reached out and pushed it open, half-expecting to be greeted by some kind of nightmare.
What I found inside was even worse. The air was thick with the scent of decay, and the walls were covered in strange symbols that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy. As I backed away in terror, I could feel something cold and clammy wrapping around my ankle, dragging me back toward the darkness.
I screamed, my voice echoing through the deserted landscape, but no one answered. As I struggled to break free from whatever was holding me, I knew that I was completely alone in this strange and terrifying place.
As I lay there, gasping for breath, I couldn't help but wonder how I had ended up here. Had I stumbled into some kind of otherworldly portal, or had I simply lost my way in the dense forest? Whatever the case, I knew that I had to find a way out before it was too late.
The door of the house started to shake like someone was behind it.
