LYCAN LEO'S POV

My eyes were still adjusting to the bright light in the hospital room as I slowly regained consciousness. I felt like I had been hit by a truck; every inch of my body ached, and I couldn't move a muscle. I tried to sit up, but my body didn't respond to my commands. It was as if my mind and body were completely disconnected.

As my eyes focused, I saw Angel standing by my side, her eyes red and swollen. It was clear that she had been crying for hours. I tried to speak, but my voice was barely a whisper. "What happened?" I managed to ask.

"You were in a coma for hours," she replied. "Your system wasn't accepting treatment, and we thought we were going to lose you." But you're awake now, thank God."

As I lay there, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief. How could someone like me, a king and an icon in my community, be lying helpless on a hospital bed? It was a mystery to me, one that I couldn't accept. But I knew I had to, at least for now.

My mind was racing with thoughts of what had happened, but my body felt heavy and weak. Despite the pain and weakness, however, I could feel the strength of my wolf pushing me to stand up and fight. I tried to get up, but my body wouldn't cooperate. I knew I had to wait for Angel to come to my aid.

When she finally walked into my ward, my eyes couldn't help but wander over her sexy figure. I had known Angel since childhood; she was always concerned about me, but I did not really love her. Her pride and arrogance had always rubbed me the wrong way, but now, seeing her by my side, caring for me so deeply, I couldn't help but feel grateful.

She handed me a cup of coffee, and as I took a sip, I felt a surge of energy flow through my body. It was as if the warm liquid was invigorating my senses, waking me up from the coma.

"How did you get yourself into such a thing?" Angel asked, her voice filled with concern. "Do you know that I almost lost you?"

I smiled weakly, trying to downplay the severity of the situation. "I was going to Gigi's pack, as we had planned earlier," I said. "Anything I find out, we'll use it against her and send her out of my pack."

Angel's eyes widened in surprise. "You're going to take her down?" "That's a risky move; you should have gone with your warriors knowing that this pack is your rival."

"I have to," I replied firmly. "I can't let Gigi get away with what she's done; why will she be my mate?" And besides, with you by my side, I know I'll be able to pull through. She smiled and gave me a warm hug.

As my sisters entered the room, I could feel the atmosphere change. Their eyes were filled with both happiness and sorrow. It was clear that they had been crying for days, yet the sight of me awake filled them with joy. Angel stood up and informed me that she had to go home but had arranged for nurses to take care of me in her absence. I nodded in agreement, understanding the importance of her departure.

Despite the happiness on my sisters' faces, I could tell that something was off. They exchanged glances, hesitant to speak. It was Juliet who eventually spoke up, revealing that Brandon was also in a critical condition. My heart sank as they explained that he had already passed away, only to be given a second chance at life. However, he refused to stay in the hospital and is now recovering at home.

As my sisters helped me sit up, I realized the weight of my guilt. Brandon had warned me not to go to Gigi's pack, but I had ignored him. I had put myself and others in danger all because of my stubbornness. I knew that I needed to apologize to Brandon for my foolishness.

As I struggled to catch my breath, my sisters asked me what I was planning to do at Gigi's pack. I was taken aback, wondering who had told them about my intentions. It was then that they revealed it was Brandon, who had shared the truth with them on his deathbed. The weight of his words hit me like a ton of bricks.

I couldn't help but wonder about the fragility of life. Brandon had almost lost his, and I had put myself in harm's way. It was a sobering reminder that every decision we make has consequences, and sometimes they can be irreversible.

As I contemplated my actions, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the second chance I had been given. I knew that I needed to make amends for my recklessness and that I would do everything in my power to ensure that I never made the same mistake again.

But my sisters repeated the question.

My sisters were relentless; they couldn't stop pestering me with questions about what I was going to do at Gigi's pack. I was annoyed, and I told them to forget about it for the time being. They persisted, but I remained calm, not wanting to let their curiosity get the best of me.

As I lay in my hospital bed, I couldn't help but think about Gigi and how she had landed me in this mess. And now, as I returned to my pack house, I couldn't contain my anger.

My sisters had told the nurses that I wanted to go home, so I called Angel to let her know that I was coming back to the pack house. She accepted it, and I knew that she was happy about it.

As I arrived, my heart raced with excitement, but my body was weak. I knew that I had to be careful and take it slow. But as soon as I saw Gigi, all bets were off. I could feel the anger rising in me like a tidal wave, threatening to engulf everything in its path.

I tried to ignore her and pretend that she wasn't there, but she was persistent. She tried to welcome me, but I couldn't give her the time of day. I was too angry, too hurt.

"Get out of here, you foolish fat pig!" I shouted at her, my voice echoing through the packed house.

Everyone stopped and stared at me, especially my sisters. They couldn't understand why I hated Gigi so much, but I didn't care. To me, she was just a disgusting rogue, a traitor who had no place in my pack.

I demanded that they take me to Brandon's room so that I could see how he was doing. As we entered, I could see that he was sleeping, his breathing heavy and labored. It was a stark reminder of how fragile life could be and how easily everything could be taken away.

"So this is life," I muttered to myself, feeling a twinge of pity for my friend. "Look at how a hero is lying on the bed; even the weakest Omega like Gigi has power over him."

My sisters asked me why I had mentioned Gigi's name, but I didn't bother to answer them. Instead, I asked them to take me back to my room and get me something to eat. But I made it clear that I didn't want Gigi anywhere near me. I didn't trust her, not after what she had done.

My sisters didn't look too happy about it, but they knew better than to argue with me. They took me back to my room, and as I lay there, I couldn't help but think about everything that had happened.

My world was gray and drab until I heard Angel's voice. It was like a ray of sunshine piercing through the storm clouds. I eagerly awaited her arrival, hoping that her mere presence would lift my spirits. And she did not disappoint. She walked in with a box in her hand, and I thought it was medicine, something to ease the pain that had been tormenting me. But when she opened the box, I saw my favorite meal, lovingly prepared just for me.

I couldn't contain my excitement as Angel fed me one spoonful at a time. The taste of the food was exquisite, and it felt like heaven in my mouth. But my joy was short-lived when Gigi appeared with a plate of food that she had made for me.

My anger boiled over as I saw her, and I couldn't hold back the words that came tumbling out of my mouth. I had explicitly told Jade and Juliet that I didn't want to see Gigi's hands anywhere near my food. And yet, here she was, trying to force her way back into my life.

I glared at Gigi, my voice dripping with venom, as I told her off for her disobedience. Tears flowed down her cheeks, but I didn't care. I knew she loved crying, and she deserved every tear she shed.

But then something unexpected happened. Angel, who had been watching the entire scene, stepped forward and placed her soft lips on mine. I felt a surge of warmth and love flow through me, and I forgot all about my anger.

As Gigi saw us, she left with a mixture of anger and tears. But for me, the world was a brighter place. Angel's kiss had healed me in a way that medicine never could.
