GIGI'S POV
Exhausted and weary, I trudged my way back from the training ground. My body ached and my muscles throbbed, begging for rest. I muttered to Jade, my dear friend, that I would not be returning to the place that had caused me so much torment, insults and all. But she refused to let me wallow in self-pity.
Jade's words of encouragement pushed me forward. She reminded me of the importance of persevering through adversity—that even in the face of the worst possible outcome, I would be able to handle it. Her words were a balm to my aching soul, and I leaned into her embrace, drawing strength from her warmth.
As she hugged me tightly, Jade whispered softly in my ear, "You're going to be my brother's Luna." Her words brought a small smile to my lips, but they were not the reason why I was putting myself through this grueling training regime. I longed to be strong and capable of defending myself, not because of Lycan Leo or any other external factor, but because it was important to me.
However, I could not share my true motives with Jade. I feared that she would judge me or, worse, try to dissuade me from continuing with the training. I treasured her friendship too much to risk losing it over something as trivial as this.
Here, in this unfamiliar pack, I had to be cautious and use my wits. If I messed up, the consequences would be dire, and no one would come looking for me. It was up to me to rely on my instincts and stay focused on my goals.
With each step, my legs grew stronger, and I felt more confident in my abilities.
Despite the uncertainty that loomed over me, I felt a sense of determination and resilience growing within me. I was not going to let my fears hold me back, nor was I going to let the doubts of others discourage me from achieving my dreams.
As I held Jade tightly in my arms, my heart raced with fear and concern as Brandon stumbled towards us, his body riddled with wounds. Jade's eyes widened with horror as she screamed and ran towards him, only to watch helplessly as he fell to the ground before being whisked away by the warriors.
The atmosphere was tense, and tears streamed down Jade's face as she frantically searched for her brother. I knew that we had to act fast to save Brandon's life, so I tried to calm her down while we tended to his injuries.
As Brandon slowly regained consciousness, his cries filled the air, and Jade's concern grew even deeper. I could see the fear in her eyes as she desperately searched for answers, asking where her brother was and what had happened to him.
Brandon struggled to speak through his tears, revealing that they had been attacked on their way to my pack. My mind raced with confusion and concern as I tried to make sense of why Lycan Leo would have been traveling with Brandon in the first place.
But the question that burned most intensely in my mind was, "Where is Lycan Leo now?"
I knew that I had to find out, and quickly, before it was too late. The tension in the air was palpable as I watched the warriors grapple with the possibility of calling the pack doctor, knowing that it could mean putting Angel's hands on Brandon's body, and Brandon refused, saying he doesn't want Angel's hand on his body.
But time was running out, and we had to act fast if we were going to save Brandon and find Lycan Leo.
As we worked to tend to Brandon's wounds, I couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency wash over me. We needed to find Lycan Leo and figure out what was going on before it was too late.
But as the minutes ticked by and the tension in the air grew more and more palpable, I knew that we were running out of time. We had to find Lycan Leo, and fast, if we were going to put an end to this madness and bring peace back to the packs.
Brandon’s words hit us like a ton of bricks. Lycan Leo, the strongest and fiercest member of our pack, was in the hospital, and his condition was precarious. Jade, who was like a sister to him, couldn't bear the thought of losing him. So she dashed out of the house without a second thought, her heart beating frantically in her chest.
As we made our way to the hospital, we encountered Juliet on the road. She was inquisitive and wanted to know what was going on, but Jade was too focused on getting to the hospital to answer. Sensing her anxiety, I beckoned her to come with us, promising to fill her in on the details.
But the news that awaited us at the hospital was heartbreaking. Lycan Leo was barely hanging on, and the sight of him lying on the hospital bed was enough to bring tears to our eyes. The room was filled with tension and the palpable fear that he might not make it.
But our attempt to comfort him was thwarted by the hospital staff, particularly by Angel. She barred me from entering Lycan Leo’s ward, citing that it was not a place for someone like me. I was taken aback by her audacity, but I didn't want to cause a scene, especially when Lycan Leo's life was at stake.
As I waited outside the room with Juliet, she noticed that I was not with Jade and the others. She insisted on accompanying me inside, but I was reluctant to accept her offer. I explained to her the situation and the condescending attitude of Angel. But Juliet would have none of it.
"Who is Angel?" she demanded to know. "What gives her the right to keep you from seeing Lycan Leo?" She has no right to impose her own rules here, especially when she comes from a wealthy family that can buy her anything she wants, so she better go back to her parents!"
Her words hit home, and I was grateful for her support. She convinced me to stand up to Angel and fight for our right to see Lycan Leo. So, I mustered up the courage to confront her and insist on seeing our friend. And eventually, Angel relented and allowed us to enter the ward.
As we stood by Lycan Leo's bedside, our hearts were heavy with worry and despair. But we knew that we had each other and that together we could fight for what was right. The ordeal brought us even closer as a pack and reminded us of the strength of our bond. Though, at some point, I will still remind myself that I'm not part of their pack.
As I stood in Lycan Leo's presence, I couldn't help but feel a sense of shock and disbelief. Here was a man who exuded power and respect, reduced to a state of weakness and vulnerability. It was a humbling sight, a reminder that even the mightiest can fall.
I couldn't help but wonder what it must feel like to be on the brink of death. to know that you are no longer in control and that even the weakest among us could have power over you. It was a sobering thought, one that made me appreciate the fragility of life.
But amidst the chaos of the moment, my thoughts turned to Brandon. He was the reason we had to leave Lycan Leo's side and rush home. The concern and love in Juliet's eyes were palpable, but I couldn't bring myself to speak of it. It was a delicate situation that required a certain level of tact.
As we hurried home, I couldn't help but reflect on the blessings that Brandon had received. To have two royal twins as his mates was no small feat. It was a sign of divine favor and a testament to his worthiness.
But even as we raced towards Brandon's side, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. What if something had happened to him? What if his condition had worsened? The thought sent shivers down my spine.
And when we finally arrived at his room, the sight that greeted us was nothing short of terrifying. Brandon lay there, lifeless, his head hanging limply from the bed. Blood stained his lips, a gruesome testament to the severity of his condition.
It was a moment that left us all speechless, a stark reminder of the fragility of life. In that moment, I realized that no amount of power or respect could shield us from the inevitability of death. It was a humbling realization, one that would stay with me for a long time.
Juliet was shocked and didn't want to believe what she was seeing.
"Noooooo, this can't be, not even now," Juliet screamed as the other warriors rushed in. They saw Lycan's beta lifeless, a hero that had conquered so many wars.
The warriors rushed him to the pack hospital, but I think it was too late.
