Chapter 149 The Queen Revealed

Chapter 149 The Queen Revealed
Camden turned to Elijah. "We can strengthen our position, King Elijah. When the heir of Crescent Moon returns, he won't be able to reclaim the throne. Because you'll have greater support from Queen Wanda's kingdom," he continued. "Accept Wanda as your Luna, and you can expand the reach of this kingdom."

"What if I say no?" Elijah replied nonchalantly.

"Do you think the royal wolves will continue to support you once Crescent Moon's heir arrives? The queen already has silent supporters! Packs outside the royal family support her!" Wanda snapped.

Elijah looked at Jeremy, Riddick, and Raphael. Many non-royal Alphas had joined forces with the royal ones, causing some tension in this newly formed alliance.

"Ask them! What secret plans do they have? You'll be overthrown, and that queen will take the throne! You'll end up with nothing, King Elijah!" Wanda continued.

How long would Wanda and Camden try to divide the packs for their own selfish gain?

I stepped forward despite Michael's grip on my arm.

"Royal or not, all will live peacefully under my rule!" I declared loudly.

"Oh dear... what's with this little Omega? Pretending to be a queen? How amusing," Camden scoffed. "Do you really think we'll believe your lies just because you copied my strategy?"

I pulled a pendant from under my collar and held it up. The moment it was visible to all, gasps of shock filled the hall.

"My mother was Princess Imogen, and I am Aurora. This is the heirloom she passed down to me, the crest of the Crescent Moon Kingdom!" I declared. "And I order you to get off my throne, or you'll never see another sunrise!"

Wanda turned to Camden, and he did the same. One by one, the royal wolves knelt, too afraid to speak.

"Step down from my throne! Now!" I commanded firmly.

Several royal alphas climbed the dais and dragged Wanda and Camden down. Tracy and Benson ran toward me, collapsing on the floor in despair.

"Deli! Please! Forgive us!" Tracy wailed in fear.

"Yes, Deli! Spare our lives!" Benson added.

I didn't answer immediately because I noticed Catherine running towards me, her face filled with worry. What was going on?

"Deli! We didn't want to do this! We were forced to!" Tracy's shrill voice rang in my ears, breaking my concentration.

"You still deserve punishment! An apology isn't enough for what you did!" I snapped.

"What are you going to do to us?" Benson asked.

"You will be stripped of your rank and serve as Omegas in the palace for the rest of your lives. This is the mercy I grant you!" I looked at Benson and Tracy.

"In that case..." Benson's expression darkened. "You might as well die now!"

Benson lunged at me with a dagger in his hand.

Suddenly, someone tackled him from the side, and they fell to the ground. Benson's eyes widened in shock as his own dagger plunged into Catherine's stomach.

The Alphas immediately restrained Benson and Tracy.

Elijah and I rushed to Catherine's side, where her head rested in his lap.

"Hold on, Catherine!" Elijah pleaded.

Catherine smiled weakly and reached for my hand, clutching my fingers tightly.

"Delilah, I'm sorry," she whispered. "I've made your life miserable, haven't I?"

"Listen, Catherine. You have to survive and stay strong. Don't worry about anything else," I said.

"You are our queen now. So please take care of the royal wolves, my queen." Tears streamed down Catherine's cheeks. "And take care of Elijah for me..."

I could do nothing as Catherine drew her last breath.
