Chapter 150 Be Alpha Queen

Chapter 150 Be Alpha Queen
Catherine's body was carried by the royal alphas, treated with care and reverence despite her father's heinous deeds. Catherine was just a victim of Camden's greed. I watched as Camden's face turned pale at the sight of his only daughter lying lifeless. He howled in agony, mourning her departure.

Regret never comes at the beginning.

This was Camden's reality.

Elijah stood and faced me. I could feel the restlessness in his aura, the uncertainty as our eyes locked.

"Why, Delilah?" There was disappointment in Elijah's voice. "So it's true? You were purposely raised as a secret weapon by the non-royal wolves?"

"Wow! Watch your mouth, Elijah," Jeremy scoffed.

"Stop! Both of you!" I snapped before turning back to Elijah. "You'll understand soon enough. After you hear Vincent's message."

I nodded at Michael, who pulled Vincent's phone out of his pocket with his last message on it.

Michael pressed play, and Vincent's voice filled the silent hall.

"Queen Delilah. After a long discussion with Elder Bishop, we are sure that you are the granddaughter of King Arthur Shillingford. The pendant you possess is undeniable proof of your lineage.

Everyone listened in complete silence.

"However, I could never tell King Elijah myself because the situation was already too dire. My own condition is failing. So I pledge my allegiance to you, Queen Delilah."

I saw Elijah's eyes glisten with unshed tears.

"Please tell King Elijah he has nothing to fear, for I trust you to be a fair and just queen. And you would never harm him, for he was never the one who stole your family's throne, Queen Delilah."

Michael stopped recording and handed the phone to me.

"I am not the ruthless queen you thought I was, my king," I told Elijah. "And Vincent himself made that clear. I received this recording after his death."

"It's you? All this time?" Elijah's voice was full of disbelief.

"It is me."

"Then, if that's the case..."

Elijah took a deep breath and wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes. Then he knelt before me.

"Welcome, Queen Delilah. I,  Elijah Williams, pledge my allegiance to you," he declared.

All the wolves in the hall followed suit, kneeling and echoing his words. They welcomed me as their queen and pledged their allegiance to me.

I looked around at everyone present.

This was it.

I was now the ruler of the Crescent Moon Kingdom, which had once been lost. Never in my life had I expected this day to come.

Now that everything was settled, I was overwhelmed with responsibilities. Aunt Disa arrived with the twins, which lifted my spirits. Everyone now knew that I had cubs with Elijah. However, it remained uncertain whether Elijah would continue to rule beside me after my coronation.

The palace was being restored, with royal and non-royal wolves working together. My coronation would take place in a few days. But first, I had unfinished business—dealing with the traitors.

The rogue wolves had been captured and would soon be released. My decision was met with fierce opposition, but the rogue wolves were still werewolves. They had a right to live.

Wanda and her followers, including Camden, would be exiled. I had no intention of keeping prisoners in my kingdom. Anyone loyal to Camden and Wanda could leave the palace grounds.

The guards now brought Elena before me.

She was still as arrogant as ever, which didn't surprise me. Royal blood ran through her veins as it did through mine.

But we had grown up in very different worlds.

Elena's icy gaze locked onto mine when she realized I was sitting on the royal throne. She was good at hiding her feelings.

"So you're the queen everyone's been looking for? What a joke," Elena scoffed. "I was expecting someone more... impressive. But fate has a twisted sense of humor, doesn't it?"

"Sorry to spoil your surprise, Elena."

"Save your mockery, Delilah. You've won. What more do you want from me?"

I shrugged. "Nothing. I want nothing from you. You may leave this kingdom if you wish. I'll give you two choices - become an Omega in my court or leave with Wanda."

Elena sighed. "No third option? Like... death?"

"I'm not a killer."

"Then you leave me no choice."

"I gave you two choices, Elena. Wasn't that enough?"

She exhaled sharply, meeting my gaze with defiance. "I will leave this kingdom."

"Very well. If that is your decision."

The guards escorted her from the hall.

I had no idea what Elena's future held, but she had chosen her path, and I could do nothing about it.

Just as she reached the doors, she suddenly turned around.

"Your kingdom won't last long, Delilah," she hissed. "Other wolves will come for it. Nothing in this world is forever!"

"I have no ambition to extend my rule, Elena," I replied coldly. "I only protect what has been handed down to me!  A legacy that your family once depended on for survival! Remember that!!"

Elena froze, her expression unreadable. Then she lowered her head and let the guards lead her away.

The moment she was gone, Michael entered the hall with Jeremy.

"Look at our badass queen," Michael teased, throwing an arm over my shoulder.

Jeremy slapped the back of Michael's head. "Show some respect! She's your queen!"

Michael straightened immediately and nodded at me. "My apologies, my queen."

"Even though Delilah is not strict, you must still treat her with the dignity she deserves. We cannot afford disrespect," Jeremy scolded.

"I understand, Alpha."

Watching them bicker made me feel good. We were finally united. No more division between royal and non-royal wolves. Soon, an important decision would seal this unity once and for all.

"Jeremy, would you mind if I asked Dad to serve as an elder in my kingdom?" I asked.

"What?" Jeremy looked stunned. "You want my beta to be an elder? What about me?"

"Sorry, but I can't think of anyone suitable for the role. Riddick would refuse because he hates the spotlight." I exhaled, exhausted. "I don't know anyone else qualified to be my advisor."

Jeremy chuckled. "Sure, Deli. I'd be honored if you want your father to be an elder. Alongside Disa, of course. As a reminder that your family will always be by your side. And I, too... I am your family."

Michael coughed dramatically. "Oh, how touching."

"Shut up!" Jeremy and I snapped in unison.

"Have you decided who will be your beta?" Jeremy asked suddenly. "You're still going to reign as Alpha Queen, right?"
