Chapter 91 Certain Death
Griffin also said coldly, "Ma'am, if you want to pull a scam, please go somewhere else. My dad's teacher couldn't possibly be you. His teacher is Taylor, who's famous throughout Phoenicia."
Amelia said expressionlessly, "I am Taylor."
Griffin laughed at that.
"Ma'am, there's a limit to lying. Please leave right now, or we'll call the police."
"Go ahead and call the police if you want."
Amelia couldn't be bothered arguing with these people. She walked straight up to the doctor from earlier.
"How is the patient doing now?"
"The patient is..."
"Doctor, don't waste your breath on her. She's just a con artist. We don't know her. We're throwing her out right now."
Kyle stepped forward and reached out to grab Amelia's hand, but she dodged to the side.
"Get lost!"
"You!"
Kyle got angry. "You really want to be difficult, don't you?"
Amelia looked coldly into Kyle's angry eyes. "I'm here to save Geraldo. As long as he's not dead yet, I might be able to save him."
"You're going to save my grandfather? You just claimed to be the master painter Taylor. What, Taylor stopped painting and became a doctor instead? You didn't even bother to make your lies consistent!"
Amelia narrowed her eyes.
"Are you really going to stop me from saving someone?"
She could tell that Kyle was Geraldo's grandson.
If he kept blocking her, she wouldn't mind knocking him out first.
Yasmin spoke up at this moment. "I know her. She has no medical skills at all. I've seen her scam people before."
Kyle immediately felt even more disgusted with Amelia.
"Saving people? You're a fraud. Get out of here right now!"
Griffin was more direct, saying to the doctor, "Please call security to take this con artist away."
"I'm not a con artist."
Amelia looked into the doctor's eyes and said, "I have a medical license. Please take me into the operating room. Every minute we delay increases the patient's danger. If anything bad happens because I go in, I'll take full responsibility."
The doctor looked at Amelia, then at the McGinnis family members, and chose to trust the family.
After all, he couldn't just take some person of unknown origin who appeared out of nowhere into the operating room.
"Ma'am, if you keep interfering with us, I'll call security."
"I..."
Just as Amelia was about to speak, footsteps suddenly echoed from down the hallway, followed by Samuel's voice.
"Let her in."
Everyone instinctively looked toward where the voice came from.
Several figures were walking quickly down the corridor, with Samuel in the lead.
Seeing it was Samuel, everyone's faces showed varying degrees of surprise.
"Mr. Crawford? What brings you here?" Griffin hurried forward to greet him.
The doctor also stepped forward at this moment, saying to the elderly man behind Samuel, "Dr. Farley, what brings you here?"
The elderly man was none other than Clifton Farley, the director of Dawnview General Hospital.
After Amelia and Samuel arrived at the hospital, Samuel had Amelia go ahead first while he went to find someone.
The person he went to find was the director of Dawnview General Hospital.
Hospitals weren't like homes - they had strict rules.
Without Clifton's approval, no matter how famous Amelia was or how skilled her medical abilities, it would be very difficult for her to enter the operating room to save someone.
That's why Samuel didn't appear together with Amelia.
"I'm here to save Geraldo." Samuel's face showed little expression.
He and Geraldo only had a business relationship. If Geraldo was in trouble, he would help, but he wouldn't be this hands-on, personally going to Clifton to ask for assistance.
Griffin's eyes immediately lit up when he heard this.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Crawford."
Samuel said with a half-smile, "You don't need to thank me. You should thank her."
As he spoke, Samuel tilted his chin toward Amelia.
Griffin looked in the direction Samuel indicated and saw Amelia, his face showing obvious confusion.
"Her..."
"She is the Miracle Physician famous throughout Thornfield."
Griffin's eyes immediately widened.
"What? She's the Miracle Physician?"
"That's right! So, are you still going to stop her from saving someone?"
Griffin clenched his fists, hesitated for a few seconds, then nodded firmly. "If Mr. Crawford is willing to vouch for her, we naturally trust you."
Seeing this, Yasmin immediately panicked and stepped forward to try to dissuade them.
But Samuel's glance swept over her, cold as ice, scaring her into standing frozen in place, not daring to move an inch.
"Dad." Kyle stepped forward disapprovingly at this moment. "We don't even know this woman's background. How can we..."
"Shut up!"
Griffin glared at him.
With Samuel vouching for her, even if Amelia was an idiot who knew nothing about medicine, he had to give Samuel that respect.
After all, if something really went wrong, Samuel would bear the responsibility.
The McGinnis family definitely wouldn't suffer any loss.
Besides, he didn't think Samuel was the kind of person who couldn't calculate gains and losses.
He must be confident that Amelia could save Geraldo, which is why he would make such an offer.
"Have you two finished discussing?" Samuel asked impatiently.
Griffin immediately said, "We've finished. We trust you."
"Good." Samuel nodded and said to Clifton, "Thank you for your trouble, Dr. Farley."
Clifton waved his hand.
"This is all part of my duties. It's an honor for our hospital that Ms. Richardson can perform surgery here."
As he spoke, he directly produced an official document.
The document stated in black and white that Dawnview General Hospital was willing to hire Amelia as a visiting physician.
Amelia didn't need to come to work every day, but with this document, whenever Amelia wanted to save someone at the hospital, she could do so.
With the official document and Clifton's guarantee, the doctor naturally didn't dare block Amelia anymore and very politely made a "please" gesture to her.
"Take me in!"
Amelia was brief and to the point.
Before entering the operating room, she turned around and gave Samuel a slight nod.
Samuel returned a smile.
That smile somehow made people feel very reassured.
The operating room door closed.
The McGinnis family members expressed their gratitude profusely and asked Samuel to sit down and wait.
Samuel didn't stand on ceremony and sat down directly on the waiting chairs.
Yasmin watched Amelia go in and actually calmed down instead.
She knew Amelia's capabilities all too well.
She absolutely didn't have the ability to save Geraldo.
On the contrary, with her there, there was now one more person disrupting things in the operating room.
This time, Geraldo was definitely doomed!
Thinking this, she had the idea of leaving.
When Amelia first arrived, she had questioned why Yasmin was there. If she continued to stay, it would only increase Amelia's suspicions.
She had to leave immediately.
After all, Geraldo was already doomed anyway.
Yasmin took a few steps back, about to quietly leave, but at that moment Kyle called out to her.
"Ms. Richardson, are you leaving?"
Yasmin's spine stiffened. When she turned around, she saw Samuel's ice-cold eyes looking at her.
She immediately felt a chill down her back, silently cursing Kyle for paying too much attention to her.
