Chapter 18
I simply ignored him and continued walking without giving him any attention. I have no interest in joining the gathering later, nor do I want to see that woman again.
"Amelia, are you upset again? What did I do to upset you?" he asked calmly.
"No, Alpha," I replied. I swiftly made my way to my room and closed the door behind me.
As I did, I vented my frustration, saying, "That person is a real hindrance to my plans with the Alpha! She will only distract his attention during the gathering.
I want Alpha to focus solely on me, as it will be difficult for me to make him fall in love and control him if he's close to that woman," I said firmly to myself. "What if Aryana takes him away from me?
The position should be mine!" I added.
I contemplated leaving the castle and running away, just to have a moment to breathe and escape from my negative thoughts.
The guards were preoccupied with gambling, so they didn't notice my absence. I returned to the peaceful spot in the middle of the forest. I knew we had been attacked by a vampire before, so I had to be more cautious this time. I always prepared myself for any potential fight.
Suddenly, I caught a strange scent in the air. To my surprise, a man appeared right in front of me.
I inquired, "Who are you?"
He grinned while gazing at me. This vampire was tall, handsome, and had a fair complexion.
I recognized him by his scent. As he approached me, I instinctively moved away.
"If you assist me in gaining entry to the Woundwoods, I can grant you anything you desire," he said, still smiling.
"What are you talking about?! Stay away from me," I firmly replied.
"Alpha and Bloody Scar packs often collaborate, don't they?" I questioned.
"Yes, so what now?!" I responded firmly.
"Please calm down. I simply sought your aid in infiltrating the castle with the Bloody Scar pack," he explained.
"And why should I do that? Why would I help you?" I firmly asked him.
Suddenly, Alpha Damien appeared before us, causing the man to become frightened and vanish from my sight. Alpha Damien approached me, his expression filled with concern. I raised an eyebrow at him and mustered the courage to meet his gaze.
I've been searching for you for quite some time now, and here you are," he stated solemnly.
"Do you know about the upcoming gathering?! Let's head back, Crema," he added.
"I refuse. Leave me be, Alpha. I have no desire to participate in that gathering," I asserted.
"Why not?!" he inquired firmly.
"I have no purpose there. What am I supposed to do?" I questioned.
"I need you there, Crema. Your presence is crucial at the pack's gathering. You are meant to be my Luna, so you must attend," he replied seriously.
"Aryana is already there, so you don't need me anymore," I persisted.
"Are you envious of Aryana?" he asked with a grin.
I scowled at his words and promptly denied it. However, he took my hand and kissed it. I found myself holding my breath as I gazed at him.
"You have no reason to be envious because you are the only one I want as Luna. You are my sole mate, Crema," he softly uttered while kissing my hand.
Suddenly, a fluttering sensation arose in my stomach, and I felt different. I tried to suppress it, but I couldn't resist any longer, so I impulsively kissed him on the lips. He was taken aback by my actions, and I ran my hand along his back. I desired to claim him at that moment, even though he was not yet ready to claim me. However, he gently pushed me away.
"Please, let's return to the Wound woods," he pleaded.
"You go ahead! I was here first," I declined.
I heard him sigh, and to my surprise, he chose to accompany me. Yet, for some reason, I couldn't stand being near him.
After some time, I made the decision to return to the castle with him. Upon entering the castle, we were greeted by the women, including Martha. My eyes scanned the room for Aryana, and eventually, I spotted her. She approached us and greeted Alpha Dior with a smile. My blood boiled at the sight of her. I tightened my hold on Alpha's arm.
Aryana greeted Alpha with a smile, saying "Hi, Alpha."
Alpha Damien asked Aryana if she had been there before, saying "Hello, Aryana. Have you been here before?"
I feel a strong annoyance towards both of them. Aryana speaks in a flirtatious manner and I caught her checking me out from head to toe. We locked eyes for a moment and I gave her an evil look, but she just smiled as if teasing me.
Alpha Damien bid me goodbye and went to the front to announce Norman's birthday celebration. I noticed Norman walking towards the front and I smiled, hoping Alpha would feel jealous.
After Norman spoke, he approached me and glanced in my direction. However, he passed me by and approached Aryana instead.
Alpha Damien came towards me with a sweet smile and invited me to join the party at the dining table. There was a lot of food prepared for Norman's celebration. I could see that he was happy being with his cousin, Aryana. But it annoyed me when I caught Alpha Damien and Aryana exchanging glances. Alpha smiled at her so sweetly that I couldn't help but interpret it as something malicious.
I stood up and said I was going to take a shower. Alpha Damien nodded and I made my way towards the bathroom. As I washed my face and looked at myself in the mirror, I took a deep breath. It disgusted me to think that I might be feeling jealous of the two of them. Perhaps it's not jealousy, but rather annoyance because Aryana might become an obstacle to my plans of taming Alpha.
