Chapter 137 Research Preferences

Seeing Alexander hang up, Isabella looked puzzled. "Manuel? Isn't he single? How's he good at it?"

Alexander couldn't help but kiss her forehead. "Manuel's actually Cecilia's brother."

"What?" Isabella's eyes widened. "Cecilia has a brother? She told me her dad sold her to traffickers."

Alexander gently stroked her hair. "The Barnett family's story is complicated. I'll explain later. Manuel and Cecilia got separated when they were kids. Now, Manuel wants to bring her back to the family."

Isabella nodded, starting to get it. "But what's that got to do with Jagger chasing Cecilia?"

Alexander grinned. "If Jagger wants Cecilia, he'll have to deal with Manuel. Why not now? If they team up to convince Cecilia, it'll be easier."

Isabella's eyes lit up. "You're so smart!"

Amused by her expression, Alexander kissed her cheek. "Alright, Isabella, it's late. Go to sleep."

He held her tighter, his chin on her head, catching a whiff of her new shampoo. "Did you change your shampoo?" he asked, his voice pleased.

Isabella smiled. "Yeah! Jasmine recommended it. She said guys like this scent!"

Alexander's eyes darkened, his gaze on her blushing face. He lifted her hair and sniffed it, teasing, "Really? Jasmine seems to know what guys like."

Isabella missed the hint and explained, "Jasmine said it's fresh, not too sweet, like... like spring sunshine!"

Alexander laughed softly, pulling her closer. "Isabella, your fragrance is better than any shampoo."

Isabella's cheeks turned red, and she burrowed into his arms, protesting, "You're teasing me again!"

Alexander chuckled. "I'm not teasing, just telling the truth." He tightened his hold, his voice tender. "You're the cutest girl in the world."

Isabella's heart raced. She peeked up at Alexander's jaw and poked it gently.

Her touch ignited a fire in Alexander. He took a deep breath, trying to control his emotions. "Isabella," he called softly, his voice hoarse, his eyes dark.

Isabella blinked innocently. "Alexander, your beard is prickly."

Alexander's Adam's apple bobbed. Isabella was really driving him nuts!

He flipped over, pinning Isabella beneath him, his hot breath fanning her face.

Isabella was startled and tried to squirm away, but Alexander held her tight.

"Alexander," she called out, her voice trembling.

Alexander looked at her, delicate and beautiful, like a budding flower. He lowered his head and kissed her forehead, as gently as a feather.

Isabella's heart pounded like a drum, echoing in her ears.

Alexander's kisses trailed from her forehead to her eyelids, nose, and finally, her soft lips. It was a tender kiss, filled with endless affection.

Isabella's eyelashes fluttered, then she slowly closed her eyes.

Alexander's kiss deepened, becoming passionate and intense, as if he wanted to devour her whole.

Isabella's breathing quickened, her hands clutching Alexander's shirt, and she felt the heat from his body.

As the temperature in the room rose, it became filled with passion and intimacy.

Alexander's kiss, like a wildfire, ignited the long-dormant desire in Isabella's heart. She responded to his kiss, clumsily but with a deadly allure.

Alexander's breathing grew heavy, his eyes filled with intense desire. He reached out and unbuttoned Isabella's nightgown, revealing her delicate skin.

Isabella's cheeks turned crimson as she shyly tried to hide, but Alexander's large hand held her firmly.

"Isabella," Alexander's voice was hoarse, "You are mine."

With that, he lowered his head, kissing her collarbone, leaving a trail of red marks.

Isabella's body trembled slightly as she let out a soft moan.

Alexander's actions grew bolder, and Isabella's resistance weakened. She was lost in his gentle assault, unable to extricate herself.

As the night deepened, the room was filled with boundless passion.

The morning sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, casting dappled shadows on the soft bed.

Isabella rubbed her sleepy eyes and stretched lazily. She sneaked a glance at the still-sleeping Alexander, her heart racing again.

Alexander slept soundly, his thick eyelashes casting shadows on his eyelids, his handsome features looking especially gentle in the morning light.

Isabella carefully lifted the blanket and tiptoed out of bed, afraid of waking him. After washing up, she went to the dining room, where Aurora had already prepared a sumptuous breakfast. She picked a few of her favorites and ate them in small bites, occasionally glancing at the clock on the wall.

When Alexander woke up, the room was empty. He got up and walked to the window, seeing Isabella sitting on the swing in the garden, the sunlight casting a golden halo around her.

He quickly freshened up and walked over to Isabella, then sat down beside her. "Why didn't you sleep a little longer?"

Isabella looked up and smiled sweetly. "I'm fully rested! Alexander, I've already had breakfast. You should go eat!"

Alexander ruffled her hair. "What are your plans for today?"

"I want to go to the ice rink for some training," Isabella said, her eyes filled with anticipation.

"You going alone makes me uneasy," Alexander said firmly. "I don't have much to do today, so I'll go with you."
