"You!" Curtis screeched.

He wondered where this man's courage came from to appear in front of him.

Eden snorted at Curtis' unfriendly attitude.

"Oh, you still hold a grudge against me. Even though you have also slaughtered a weak witch," Eden sneered.

"That's because you guys started it!"

"No, the previous king Damian started the mission. So you should also hate Swana as one of his descendants. But you only hate me. Even though I was just appointed as the head of the magic tower."

"I don't care."

Eden waved her hand. He looked at Curtis casually.

"I'm not here to argue but to offer help. Look at the people over there. They are in danger."

Curtis turned around and found that many of the residents were injured. Moreover, Gogon kept throwing thorns from his body.

"So decide now Curtis. Do you want my help or not?"

Curtis faced a dilemma. He was currently so weak that he was unable to transform into a wolf. His men were also not one hundred percent able to withstand Gogon's attacks. But he didn't want to drop his pride by asking the witch for help.

Eden knew that Curtis was fighting his ego. So she started provoking Curtis.

"Yes, there's no point in asking for my help. Your pride will be hurt. It would be better if you let the people get killed by Gogon's thorns than to hurt your pride. Just so you know, soon Gogon can split himself into two. So you can imagine what a hassle it would be to deal with Gogon."

Curtis' eyes trembled. If that happened, the Saints wouldn't even be able to face the monsters.

'What should I do?' Curtis asked himself.

He desperately wanted to ask Saint to stop this monster Gogon. However, he knew that he did not have enough time. But if he asked Eden for help, that meant he had to make peace with the witch.

"Help!"

"Aghhrrr!"

The screams of the villagers began to sound heartbreaking. Curtis turned around and saw that many of them were injured. But Gogon's thorns did not stop. His soldiers who blocked the thorns were also injured.

"Stop the monster, Eden," Curtis said softly.

Eden smiled, but he did not easily accept Curtis' order.

"What? I didn't hear the word 'please'," Eden said.

"Please stop the monster Eden!" Curtis shouted. "Are you satisfied. Please stop that monster before more people get hurt!"

Eden laughed.

"The pleasure is mine."

He flew towards the monsters who were fighting the flames released by Samuel and Jason.

Eden did a good job. He recited the former so that a symbol appeared above Gogon's head. The symbol, which looks like an animated image of the sun and moon, as well as leaves and natural elements, rotates to form a circle. The circle then shone downwards. Making Gogon freeze and just scream.

Slowly, the seal symbol imprisoned Gogon with the light coming out of the symbol. Then it wrapped him up and pushed him towards the vortex of the vent, where the monsters came out.

Of course Gogon roared, but his body could not move or split. He was sucked into the direction of the whirlwind hole. After that, the hole gave off a dazzling light and then disappeared.

Everyone watched the action from Eden with amazement. The same goes for Curtis, Samuel and Jason. They did not expect that Eden could close the black hole so quickly.

'Of course he can, he's a witch.'

Curtis was annoyed by all this. Even though he desperately burned Gogon, but the monster actually had the ability to regenerate and divide the body. So the only thing that could stop him was a Saint or a witch. More than that, what makes him more upset is the price he has to pay for asking Eden for help. Thus, he must acknowledge Eden and no longer antagonize him.

Eden returned to Curtis' presence with confidence. He was smiling broadly. Something that annoyed Curtis.

However, the villagers cheered Eden like a hero. They seemed grateful for being saved by Eden.

"Thank you, sir. We are safe thanks to all of you," said the village chief. This time he looked at Eden, not Curtis.

"All thanks to Commander Curtis. He asked me to help you."

Well of course his words were sarcasm.

"We certainly thank you all. I'm sorry I have to go back to see the injured residents," the village chief excused himself.

He and his daughter then helped the injured. Leaving behind two men who seemed to have important business.

"Go away," Curtis urged.

He had to put aside his grudge because of the merit made by Eden.

"Hey, is there no thank you for me?" Eden teased.

"Me not killing you is an expression of my gratitude."

"Tsk how cruel, if I were Swana, I would go far away and find a man who is not cold."

Curtis glared at Eden, but the man just laughed loudly and disappeared. he had already done Swana's request. And he had also made Curtis indebted to him. So Eden felt that he would live in peace for a while.

The news of the conquest of the monsters was heard in the kingdom. Noel and the other nobles breathed a sigh of relief. At least the frightening problem was gone.

"So Eden closed the black vortex on Curtis' orders?" Noel asked.

"Yes, we heard that. Now Commander Curtis will return to the palace so don't make trouble until Queen Swana returns. "

The prime minister began to like Noel so he advised the heir to the throne.

"I know. "

"I hope Queen Swana will solve her problems so that you can ascend the throne. To be honest, we like your leadership. Although you are still not as skilled as Queen Swana."

"That's right." The other nobles voiced their support. This made Noel smile.

When the meeting was over, he sent a letter through the eagle. He told what had happened and what he had heard in the palace. After all, Noel had learned to lead the kingdom from Swana. He always sent a letter through the eagle if he needed an opinion.

Be patient, I hope Curtis will leave the kingdom and join me.

That was Swana's only message. That means Swana is confident of relinquishing the throne to Noel.
