We split up so that we could check the house quicker, but Zara stuck to my side and I was not complaining.
“I hope Dennis is the leader” she sighed “As I really want this to be over”
“I know and I do too” I told her “But we need to be sure, I cannot think of anything worse than getting settled in our new house with the twins and having this all happen again”
I entered a room and it was much bigger than the others and I could only assume this one was where Dennis stayed. I found a laptop and phone sitting beside the bed and made quick work of hacking into both.
“Do you want to work on the phone while I work on the laptop?” I asked Zara “I just need you to look for phone calls and messages that seem like he is talking to someone higher up than him”
“I can do that” she confirmed as she took the phone off me and started to look through it while I started on the laptop.
I found his dark web account and froze, he was also selling what I could only think of as Siren blood. We had raided all his houses, and I had not seen a siren, also they were fucking powerful and with the right song could make almost anyone follow them. The only exceptions were mated pairs and succubus. I looked over at Zara and realised that no matter what Dennis did, she had never been interested. If he was a siren that could explain how he got so many humans to follow him and why he was pissed that Zara was immune to him.
“Can everyone come here please” I called out
A few seconds later everyone was in the room with us.
“I think I might have discovered something important about Dennis” I told them “He is selling siren blood, and we all know that he does not have one held captive”
“They are impossible to catch unless you are immune and we all know that Dennis won’t be immune” Bethany confirmed
“But Zara would have always been immune” I told her waiting for her to piece it all together
“Fuck” She growled “The prick is a siren”
“That’s why he has so many hunters working for him” Albert chuckled “I always thought that was odd”
“And it explains why Ivy was confused and defending him when her hormones were all over the show” Gerald sighed “He would have used his siren charm on her to get her in bed when he was after Zara”
“Why would I have been immune though?” Zara asked
“Because you are a succubus” Bethany told her “Since you can also bend peoples will to your own, your skills do not work on each other”
“This information could work in our favour then” Zara grinned “Humans do not like been manipulated and that is exactly what Dennis did. He sent them after us because we are supernatural when he was also supernatural the whole time”
“So, we tell his men and turn them all against him” Albert snickered “I do love how your mind works”
“But what about you guys?” Zara asked, “You said I was always immune, but does that mean that you guys aren’t?”
“Mated couples are immune too” I told her “But if we were unmated then he would also be able to control us”
“How do we kill him?” Zara asked
“I was thinking a fate worse than death” I grinned
“Siren blood is as sort after as succubus blood” Gerald told her

“What about humans?” Zara asked her
“Same but so much stronger” she chuckled “Think magic mushrooms on steroids”
“So, what do you have planned?” she asked me
“Keep him held hostage and sell his blood to give the twins some extra pocket money”
“We do not need the money” she chuckled “But I like the idea of holding him hostage and making the rest of his life a living hell”
“Or we could let him get killed by the men who followed him so blindly?” Gerald suggested
“How about this?” Zara held up her hands “We let his men know what he is, if they kill him then so be it. But if he is the last man standing then we lock him away and sell his blood so my kids can have even more money”
“Did anyone find anything else out?” I asked
“The only messages I found are ones where he is giving orders” Zara told me
“Everything we found also showed Dennis, as being the only leader” Albert confirmed “We were already coming back here to update you when you called”
“I just need to finish checking the laptop” I told them “I got a bit distracted when I found the siren blood and started to piece everything together”
I went back to the laptop and quickly checked his emails and browsing history and I was the same as the others, and it looked like Dennis was the only one running the show. It made sense now that we knew he was a siren as they never worked together.
“Let’s go home and get you fed” I told Zara “Then tomorrow we will let the twins feed on one of the hunters while also letting them know all about what Dennis really is”
“And look for a new house” she added as she curled against my side and I took us back to the tower.
“How did it go?” Ivy asked as she walked over with Betty and handed us the twins.
“We got them all” I told her “And we found out some interesting information about Dennis”
“What?” she asked looking confused
“He is a siren” Zara told her “That’s why he was pissed and wanted me so badly, I was immune to his charms and he didn’t like that”
“Why were you immune?” she asked
“Because she is half succubus” Betty told her “I hate sirens, they are creepy evil fuckers. I have seen what they can make people do and its sick. You are lucky he can no longer get to you since you are mated”
