I could see the look of panic on Ivy’s face and felt bad for her.
“So, the feelings I thought I felt for him?” she asked
“Fake” mum sighed while patting her on the back “He will have used you and made you feel things for him, so he could try and get closer to Zara”
“Fucking prick” she growled
“I am sure his men will feel the same way once they find out that he played them” I grinned “I am kind of thinking I might take some of his blood to try though before we kill him”
“I am sure we can arrange that” Zane chuckled “I have heard that having sex after having it is insane”
“Will it be the same for me?” Ivy asked, “Or will it harm the baby?”
“It will have no effect on the baby” Gerald told her, “And it will have the same effect on you, would you like me to get some for us too?”
“I think we should grab some for all of us” Bethany chuckled
“I am going to go and see if Roland has finished dinner” Betty groaned as she walked away from us shaking her head.
“I bet she will still take some of the blood if offered though” I snickered
‘Can we have blood soon?’ Lachlan asked me as he latched on to my finger
“Tomorrow, we will let you feed from one of the hunters” I told him “I have already picked him out for you”
“If you need some before then, we can take you up after dinner” Zane told them
“Or you can have some of mine for tonight as your dad already fed”
‘We will just have a small sip tonight’ Lachlan told me before dropping my hand and closing his eyes.
“He wants a small sip tonight from me” I told Zane
“Then I will give you some of my blood after to boost your strength” he told me “I have had plenty of blood and I will be getting more the day after tomorrow”
“Dinner is ready” Mum called out to us
“Does this mean that after dinner we can relax and start looking for a new house?” Ivy asked Gerald
“We sure can” he chuckled “As I am sure I can sneak away to look around a house even when the hunt is on”
“Sure” Zane shrugged “I am now wondering if we let them kill each other and we drink from the freshly dead bodies, or do we go and hunt them down slowly?”
“Let’s sleep on it and decide after we see the reactions of the hunters tomorrow” I suggested “We don’t need to make that decision until the other vampires arrive anyway”
“She is right” Albert grunted “I would prefer to wait until we see how the other hunters react”
I placed the twins down on their play mat and then we sat down at the table just as my dad finished setting out all the plates.
“Would you be able to make some extra food tomorrow” Zane asked dad “I would like to feed the hunters one last meal before the hunt starts”
“I already have some leftovers from lunch, and I am sure we will also have some from dinner” he told him “I will make some extra for both breakfast and lunch tomorrow, to make sure that they have plenty to keep their energy up” he chuckled
“It will be so odd been surrounded by vampires” Ivy shuddered
“They will respect you” Gerald told her “Also apart from when I am hunting, I will be by your side. When I am hunting you can stay in our chambers if you like”
“But I want to watch” she chuckled “And I am sure the twins will also want to see their mum and dad in action”
“Is that a good idea?” Dad asked as he sat down “I am not sure if it’s a good idea for babies to see that much blood”
“These are vampire babies” Zane told him “And even then, they are far from normal vampire babies and Ivy is right. They will want to watch maybe not me, but defiantly their mum in action”
“It is so cool how they can talk to you” mum chuckled “Have they even cried yet?”
“No” I grinned “They just wave their hands to get our attention and then tell us what they need. It makes this whole parenting thing a breeze”
“Have you wondered why your babies are so special?” Ivy asked
“Zane has always been a strong vampire and with his age he had just gotten stronger. Zara is also very strong, and I think most of that is due to the suffering she endured while a child. Add on her succubus blood and that made her even stronger. When the two found each other and created the twins the power combined and now, they have two very strong and unique babies” Bethany told her “And I have a feeling any babies they have will have special gifts”
“Zara is perfect for me in every way” Zane told her while tightening his hold on my waist while I sat on his lap and ate.
“So, you are saying I am going to have easy babies every time who can just tell me what they want?” I asked
“Maybe” Bethany laughed “I am not promising that though. I am just telling you that they will most likely all have a special gift of some kind”
“I am still struggling with the fact you only just gave birth and just went out to kill people” mum chuckled “I struggled to move around after giving birth to you”
“She is mated to a vampire so heals quicker anyway” Bethany pointed out “But even still you are right and both her and the twins are recovering remarkably well”
I finished my food and stood up “And talking about my twins, I need to feed them and then make sure I express some milk for you guys for when I am out hunting”
