Chapter 29: The Proposal and Another Baby

Life has been great lately. I love being a mom and Tyler is the best baby. He is now 4 months old. He hardly ever cries and always has a smile on his face. Mine and Colton's relationship is a lot stronger than it was. I have totally forgiven him and we are happy.

Colton is taking me out on a date tonight to some fancy restaurant. My parents and Colton's parents are going to babysit Tyler. Right now, I am currently in Tyler's nursery feeding him and rocking him to sleep. I look down and see that he is finally asleep. I get up and place him in his crib and just watch him for a little bit. Then I clean up the nursery a little bit and then go to my room and take a nap while Tyler is taking his. I am the one that gets up with him during the night, so I try to sleep when he does. Plus, Colton needs his sleep so that he can run the pack. Somedays I feel like a zombie, but then my mom and Luna Ivy come and take Tyler for awhile so that I can catch up on sleep. The parents are already asking when we are going to have another baby.

When I wake up it is 5 o'clock. I have 2 hours to get ready to go out. I take a shower and then blow dry my hair. I pick out a sexy black spaghetti strap dress that ends at my knees. Then I do my make-up and give myself a smoky eye look. I grab my phone, purse and black heels and go into Tyler's room. I change his diaper and clothes, then put together a bag for him. I walk down the stairs very carefully and when I look up, I see Colton waiting for me at the bottom. He flashes me a killer smile and takes Tyler from me and kisses his forehead. I see my mom waiting by the door and Colton hands her Tyler and his bag. We say goodbye and then walk out the front door to Colton's car. He opens the door for me like a gentleman. Then he gets in and starts the car.

I ask, "So Colton, where are we going?"

He says, "It is a fancy restaurant and I want you to be surprised."

After about 20 minutes, we get to the restaurant and it is beautiful. It is a very fancy steak house. I have never been here. The hostess takes us to a table for two that is outside in the garden. She gives us our menus and leaves us. I look around and we are all alone. Our table is the only table out here. There are little fairy lights hanging everywhere and lanterns are spread out to. It is very romantic. There are candles on the table and champagne chilling in a bucket beside the table.

I say, "Colton, how did you get a table out here?"

He says, "I know the chef and he arranged it. I wanted us to be alone."

I just nod my head. The waiter comes and we each order our food. Then we are left alone. Colton just stares at me and smiles.

He then grabs my hand and says, "Everly, I love you so much and I am so happy that you are my mate and Luna. I am especially happy that you are the mother of my son. I can't imagine my life without you and do not want to try. "

I say, "I love you too Colton and I am happy that you are my mate and Alpha. Also, thank you for making me a mom."

He smiles at me and then stands up and comes to my side. He then drops to one knee and pulls a square velvet box out of his pocket.

He opens the box and there is a huge princess cut diamond ring with smaller diamonds all around it. I gasp and start to cry. He gulps and looks nervous.

He then says, "Everly, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

I nod my head and say, "Yes. Of course I will become you wife."

I then tackle him to the gound and we share a very heated kiss. That is how the waiter finds us. Me laying on Colton and Colton still holding the box with the ring in it. We get up when we notice the waiter and Colton slips the ring onto my finger. I give him a quick peck on the lips and we sit down. We start eating and the food is so delicious. I will definitely come back here. We then leave and go home.

Colton takes me up to our bedroom and makes love to me all night long. In the wee hours of the morning, we are laying there after another round of lovemaking.

He says, "So, when do you want to get married?"

I say, "As soon as possible and then we can get to work on expanding our family. What do you think?"

He says, "That is a great idea. I can't wait to marry you and have more children."

We then both fall asleep.

The next morning, I wake up and immediately rush to the bathroom and throw up. Colton comes running in behind me and hold my hair back. I puke about 3 times and then get up an brush my teeth.

Colton asks, "Everly, are you ok? Do you have the flu?"

I say, "I don't know. I will make an appointment with the pack doctor to see what is going on."

He nods his head and gets ready for the day. I then get dressed and go downstairs. My mom is there playing with Tyler in the living room. She is playing peek-a-boo and he is giggling. I smile and sit down and watch them.

My mom turn and looks at me and says, "Everly, you look like you do not feel very good."

I say, "I don't mom. I threw up three times this morning. I need to make an appointment with the pack doctor to see what is going on.

She looks down and then whispers, "Maybe you are pregnant."

I then think back to when I last had my period and realize that it is 3 weeks late. Oh no! I then run upstairs and look under my bathroom sink and find a pregnancy test. I had bought some for when we were ready to have a baby. I open the package and pee on the stick. I read the instructions and it says that I have to wait 3 minutes, so I set my alarm for 3 minutes. I immediately mindlink Colton and tell him to come to our room. When he walks in, I am pacing.

He says, "Hey babe what is going on?"

I say, "I just took a pregnancy test. I told my mom that I threw up this morning and she asked me if I was pregnant. I then thought back to when I last had my period and it is 3 weeks late, so I came up here and took the test. We have to wait 3 minutes for the results. It took you about 2 minutes to get here, so we have 1 minute left."

He just nods his head and sits down. I pace a little more and then my alarm goes off. I take a deep breath and go into the bathroom to see the results. I turn it over and there are 2 pink lines. Oh my gosh, I am pregnant. I immediately start crying. I walk out of the bathroom and Colton looks up.

He says, "Well, are you pregnant?"

I say, "Yes. I am."

He jumps up and yells, "Yes. I am so excited."

"Me too."

He then picks me up and kisses me and hugs me. I giggle. He puts me down and then drops to his knees and caresses my flat tummy and starts talking to the baby. He is too funny.

He then says, "We have to tell everyone about the baby and our engagement. I am going to call for a pack meeting to start in 10 minutes."

"OK. I will go and get Tyler."

He nods his head and starts mindlinking the entire pack. I go downstairs and I meet my mom and she hands me Tyler. She just stares at me. We then walk to the banquet room where the meeting will be held. I walk up to the stage where Colton is standing. Everyone is finally here.

Colton walks up to the podium and says, "May I have everyone's attention. I have some good news. Last night, Everly agreed to become my wife."

Everyone starts screaming and cheering. Colton holds his hands up to quiet everyone down.

"This morning about 10 minutes ago, we also found out that we are going to have a baby."

Everyone goes nuts and I just smile. I look at Tyler and he is giggling and looking up at me. I kiss his forehead. Wow, we are getting married and having another baby. I am so excited.
