Chapter 28: Becoming Parents and The Punishment

The pack doctor looks at the baby and says, "It's a BOY!"

We look at the baby and he has brown hair and brown eyes. He looks just like Colton. He is adorable and has the cutest smile. He weighs 7 pounds and 10 ounces and is 20 inches long. Colton and I look at each other and smile. I look at Victoria and she doesn't even look at the baby. Colton has the doctor perform the DNA test and it says that he is the father. No surprise there when a spell has already been casted. We move Victoria back to her room to heal. Then Valerie comes over and does a spell that will tell us who the real father is.

Valerie says, "The father is Colton."

Everyone gasps and looks at me with pity. Colton did the ultimate betrayal by getting someone pregnant that wasn't his mate. Colton starts crying and looks at me. I have tears in my eyes. He comes over to me and holds me in his arms.

He says, "Everly, I am so sorry. I never meant to hurt you and now I fathered a child with someone that is not my mate. You must hate me because now it is real. I understand if you do not want to have anything to do with my son.

I look at Colton and say, "I was very upset at first when I found out that you had gotten Victoria pregnant. Now, your son needs the both of us to raise him. Victoria turned her back on him and I will not do that just because I didn't give birth to him. I will also not treat him any differently from the other children that we may have together. He needs a mother and I will be his mother from here on out and the rest of our lives. He is our son and nothing will change that.

Colton just stared at me in shock and says, "Wow, you are the most amazing woman that I have ever met. I love you so much. You are definitely his mother from here on out and no one can ever change that."

I look at him and say, "Well, we need to think of a name for our baby boy. I like the names, Austin, Teddy, and Tyler."

Colton looks at me and says, "Let's name him Tyler Micheal Matthews."

I nod my head. The nurse then hands me Tyler wrapped in a blue blanket with little wolves on it. We then go out to the waiting room and announce the birth of our son to everyone.

Colton says, "Attention everyone, I would like to introduce to you our son, "Tyler Micheal Matthews, your next Alpha."

He then stands to the side and I am holding Tyler. Everyone gasps when they see him because he looks just like Colton.

Colton looks at our family and friends and says, "Yes, I am his father. Victoria was telling the truth about that."

I say, "Yes, she did tell the truth, but Victoria does not want anything to do with this baby. From now on, I am his mother and I will treat him as if I gave birth to him. He will be treated the same as any children that we may have in the future. Please also treat him right because he will be your next Alpha."

Everyone gathers around me to see Tyler.

My brother says, "Everly, I am so proud of you. You did not have to step up, but you did. You are a true Luna. I am also an uncle now. I am so excited."

I say, "I am excited too. I am a mommy now."

All of a sudden, Colton gets a mindlink from his guards that are watching Victoria. They say that she is acting strange and keeps throwing things at them just like before. Colton tells them to let her out.

Colton says, "Ok everyone, Victoria is about to make her move. Everly, you stay with Tyler and everyone else let's go."

He then kisses me and kisses Tyler's forehead and says, "I will be back love. Take care of our son."

I say, "Be carefull and of course I will take care of our son."

He then runs out of the room and shifts into his big black wolf.

I look at Tyler and say, "Little one, don't worry daddy will be back before you know it and you will grow up with us as your parents. We are going to love you so much and treat you right. Your real parents are awful people, but we will make up for it by loving you. Mommy and Daddy already love you."

The baby yawns, opens his eyes and goes back to sleep in my arms.

Colton's POV

We are running through the forest following Victoria to the meeting spot. My mind is on Everly and my son. I can't believe that I am a father. I truly wish that I never cheated on Everly. However, we now have a son and will have many more kids later on.

We all surround the perimeter of the area and see Victoria, Edward, and Nattie there talking to each other. I change back into my human form, grab some shorts and put them on. I then motion to my guards to follow me and I walk right up to the trio. At first they do not notice me. Then Victoria looks up and gasps. They all try to run, but my guards catch them and put them in cuffs. I tell them that they will go to my cells and wait for their punishment. They fight like crazy to get away, but there are way too many of us. Well all walk back to the cells and put them each in their own cells. I mindlink Everly to come to the cells so that we can interrogate them and come up with their punishment.

Everly's POV

All of a sudden, I get a mindlink from Colton telling me to come to the cells so that we can interrogate the prisoners and come up with their punishment. I give Tyler to the nurse and she places him in the nursery. I walk to the cells and go down to where my mate is waiting.

We decide to interrogate Nattie first. I look at her through the bars and she is shaking and has tears running down her cheeks. Valerie is with us too. We all walk into her cell and she looks up at us.

I say, "Ok Nattie, why did you help Victoria?"

She gulps and looks up at us and says, "I had no choice. Edward kidnapped my mother and younger sister and said that he would give them to his rogues if I did not help them. They would have killed them if I didn't help. As of now, I do not know where they are or if they are even alive. I am so scared. Please forgive me. I did not want to help them. I don't like hurting people. Please believe me."

Valerie sits down with her and wraps her arms around her and says, "It is ok Nattie. We believe you and I will help you find your mom and younger sister. I know that you are telling us the truth."

Nattie just cries harder.

Colton and I leave her cell because we know that Valerie will help her and find her missing family. On to the next cell. We step into Victoria's cell and she is glaring at us.

Colton looks at her and says, "So, Edward is your mate? Did you really think that you would get away with all of this and then be able to run away with your mate?"

She just looks at us and glares.

I step up and say, "Victoria Marshall you have been found guilty and your punishment will be death."

She just looks at me and starts trembling.

Colton says, "Don't worry even though you are going to die tonight, just know that we will take care of the baby."

We then walk out of the cell and to the next. We walk into Edward's cell and he just stares at us.

Colton says, "Edward, you have been found guitly and are sentenced to death. You will die tonight for all that you have done along with your mate, Victoria. We will be back for you in a couple of hours."

We then walk out of the cells and go back to the pack hospital to get Tyler and take him home. I put him in his bassinette right beside my side of the bed. He is sleeping peacefully. Colton wraps his arms around me and just holds me and we both just gaze at our son.

it has now been a couple of hours and we are all outside waiting for the guards to bring Edward and Victoria out. There is a poof and I see Valerie and Nattie arrive with another woman and a little girl. The mother has a broken arm and the little girl is limping. They must be Nattie's family that was missing. I am so happy that they found them alive and that they are ok. I smile at Nattie and she smiles back at me and nods her head to say thank you.

I see Edward and Victoria being drug out to the field where the whole pack is waiting to witness the punishment. Colton lists the charges and why they both are guilty and their punishment of death. He then goes towards Edward and Victoria and has his claws come out. He lifts his hand and claws Edwards heart out of his chest. Victoria starts screaming. Edward falls to the ground lifeless. Colton then takes the heart and stomps on it. He turns to Victoria and claws her heart out too. Then he stomps on her heart. They both are finally dead and cannot cause anymore problems. He tells his warriors to burn the bodies and we walk back to the pack house.

We go straight to our room and I go and hold Tyler. Colton goes and showers the blood off of himself. It has been a long day and I am so glad that it is over. I am glad that Victoria and Edward can no longer hurt anyone else. Little did I know that there was someone else out there that was about to cause more trouble for us.
