Chapter 597 Finally Here

Chapter 597 Finally Here

Ten minutes later, the entire bar was cleared out.

A large group of black-suited bodyguards appeared at the entrance of Room 103, standing on both sides. They didn't rush in, but stared menacingly at the wooden door.

Before long, the sound of high heels clicking came from the hallway, unhurried yet carrying an aggressive threat.

Just as James picked up Mad Shark's sunglasses and put them on, the door was slowly pushed open by a hand.

A wave of perfume swept in.

Valencia and Paxton appeared, leisurely walking into the room with drinks in hand, followed by a group of Lumaria people and The Gonzalez Family's best fighters.

A mass of people in black made the room's atmosphere heavy as lead, suffocating.

Everyone first scanned the dozen or so injured people on the floor, then looked at the handprint on Valencia's right palm, and finally locked their eyes on James, who was casually drinking.

Seeing Mad Shark lying there like a dead dog, over a dozen Gonzalez Family elites flew into a rage, reaching for their weapons.

Valencia gently waved her hand to stop them, then stepped forward and looked at James with a charming smile:

"You're the one who cut off his hand?"

The smile was sweet, but everyone could feel the killing intent beneath it.

"That's right."

James was straightforward:

"He showed me the handprint on your palm, but I couldn't see it clearly. He wouldn't come closer, and I wouldn't go over, so I had to have someone cut off his hand and bring it to me."

Paxton also sized up James, but since the latter was wearing sunglasses, he couldn't read much, only taking him for some cocky punk trying to look cool.

"Interesting."

Hearing James's response, Valencia's lips curved into a smile:

"Are you trying to make an enemy of me, Valencia?"

For this woman, she preferred people to fear her more than The Gonzalez Family.

"An enemy?"

James shook his head slightly: "You're not worthy."

"Bold words."

Valencia laughed instead of getting angry: "You're the first person I've met like this. Interesting."

"But you'd better think carefully and consider whether you can handle the consequences."

"Oh, I forgot to tell you—the bar's been cleared. I have over a hundred people inside and outside, plus experts from Blood Medical Sect."

She suddenly became interested in James: "I'd like to see how you plan to walk out of this bar."

Her subordinates were eager to act, ready to take James down the moment Valencia gave the word.

"I haven't thought about that."

James gently adjusted his sunglasses: "I'm only thinking about how you're going to answer to me for drugging my friend."

Valencia maintained her sweet smile, looking down at James:

"Mr. Foster taking an interest in your woman is your greatest honor."

"You should be grateful, not so foolishly courting death."

She looked around:

"By the way, where's your woman? Tell her to come out. After I deal with you, she can help Mr. Foster relieve himself."

James noticed that as soon as Paxton heard "woman," his breathing quickened, his eyes burning as he scanned the surroundings.

Then he pulled out a small bottle, poured out a pill, and tossed it into his mouth.

James glanced at the bottle and sniffed the air.

"You didn't let her leave, did you?"

Not finding Wendy, Valencia smiled lightly: "No matter. Once I deal with you, you'll naturally make her come back obediently."

"Valencia, why don't you become Paxton's plaything yourself?"

A cold voice came from outside: "You look really ugly like this."

The doorway immediately erupted with rebukes and commotion. A wave of footsteps surged forward, and Wendy, dressed in black, walked in.

Behind her were Leo and a large group of Wang family bodyguards, matching them one-to-one, locking down everyone on Valencia's side.

Paxton's eyes lit up when he saw Wendy: "Baby, you've appeared again..."

"Beast."

Before he could finish, Wendy, passing by, slapped him hard across the face, leaving a handprint on his cheek.

He swayed but didn't fight back, just touched his cheek. His smile grew even wider, his chest heaving.

Valencia's expression changed drastically: "Wendy?"

"That's right. The woman Paxton wanted to defile, the woman Yves drugged, the woman you Valencia wanted to offer up—that's me, Wendy."

Wendy stepped forward, standing beside James, looking at Valencia coldly:

"Looks like The Gonzalez Family wants to go to war with The Morris Family."

Leo also stepped up, his tone indifferent: "Ms. Gonzalez, you need to give The Morris Family an explanation."

Paxton moved closer to Valencia, touching his cheek: "Ms. Gonzalez, who is she?"

Valencia said flatly: "Ms. Morris."

The Morris Family's daughter?

Paxton showed no fear whatsoever. Instead, his eyes brightened even more, his gaze so intense it seemed like he wanted to melt Wendy.

"Wendy, Leo, this is a misunderstanding."

Valencia narrowed her eyes slightly, smiling at them:

"Mr. Foster had too much to drink and said a few things. Yves and the others misunderstood on their own."

"Yves and his people have already been punished. I'll have Mr. Foster apologize to you and compensate you ten million."

"Let's let this matter go, shall we?"

"After all, it's better to resolve conflicts than create them. The Morris Family doesn't want two more powerful enemies, right?"

She knew well that she hadn't expected the woman involved to be Wendy—the princess candidate The Morris Family had prepared for the oil prince. If something happened to Wendy, The Gonzalez Family could easily be suspected of trying to sabotage The Morris Family's strategic plans.

But Paxton still showed no fear, just looking at Wendy with a playful smile, clearly even more interested.

James also noticed that behind Paxton was a gray-clothed old man, unremarkable and silent, but he could sense this person was no pushover.

"No need for an apology, and no need for ten million."

Wendy's tone was firm: "If I hadn't been lucky enough to run into James tonight, I'd probably already be violated by Paxton by now."

"Bottom line—I'm going to castrate Paxton."

James gave her a thumbs up. This woman looked delicate but was truly decisive in action.

"Wendy, don't go too far. You're fine now, aren't you?"

Valencia's face suddenly turned cold: "Don't push your luck. If this really blows up, you won't come out ahead."

"I'm giving you one minute."

Wendy was direct: "If you don't do it, I'll have Leo do it."

Valencia's voice deepened: "Mr. Foster is from Blood Medical Sect. If you castrate him, are you trying to make The Morris Family oppose Blood Medical Sect?"

Wendy said coldly: "Forty seconds."

Valencia sneered: "Wendy, you really think you're somebody."

A Lumaria youth stepped forward, pointing at Wendy and shouting:

"Mr. Foster is our third-in-command's son. Don't be ungrateful—"

Leo's eyes flashed sharply. His right hand snapped the man's fingers, his left hand grabbed his belt.

Almost effortlessly, he lifted the 180-plus-pound guy over his head, then slammed him hard onto the coffee table.

The large coffee table shattered with a crash. The Lumaria youth fell miserably into it, covered in glass shards and blood, in so much pain he forgot to even scream.

Everyone around was stunned, their throats tight, momentarily speechless.

Compared to everyone's shock, James was more focused on Paxton's reaction.

When Leo crushed some glass pieces, making crisp shattering sounds, Paxton frowned and instinctively rubbed his chest.

Valencia's eyelid twitched, then she called out sharply:

"Wendy, if you insist on going down this path, then let's both lose."

Wendy remained unmoved: "Leo, take care of Paxton."

Bodyguards and fighters from both sides surged forward.

"Stop!"

Just as both sides were about to clash, a shout from outside cut through the chaos: "Everyone stop!"

Before the words faded, a gunshot rang out.

The whole scene suddenly froze.

A dozen well-dressed men and women strode in.

Leading them was Keith.

James's eyes narrowed slightly.

Finally here.
