Chapter 158 Forgive me for being a bad son

Adrian was crying harder, unable to believe what had happened.

“I’m an orphan now... No mother and no father... Just like Kai said that day,” Adrian said, crying loudly.

Maru cried.

“Don’t say that. Where did I go? I’m still here, and I will never leave you, my little one,” Maru said through her tears.

“I wronged her so much, and she was only protecting me.”

“It’s okay, my son... You didn’t know what was happening. No one knew,” Maru said, crying as she helped him stand.

He looked at her through his tears.

“You’re all I have left... Don’t leave me. Don’t you dare,” Adrian said, crying and trembling.

He hugged Maru, which shocked her greatly. She cried harder and returned his hug sadly.

“Don’t you dare leave me,” Adrian said in a weak voice as he tightened the hug.

“Don’t say that, my little one. How could I leave you?... It’s true that I’m not your real mother, but I consider you my son. I can’t leave you,” Maru said crying as she tightened the hug.

“I feel the same. I consider you my mother, but you have to understand me,” Adrian said crying.

“Of course I do... She’s your mother, my son,” Maru said, rubbing his back.

He broke the hug and looked at her before asking her again.

“Was he the one who killed her?” Adrian asked through his tears and anger, pointing at Kai. The call came back to his mind on its own. He meant Miran. The thing taken from him was Miran. His mother, not Evelyn.

“He took her from me,” Adrian said crying.

Maru looked at him through her tears.

“Damn him.”

“He doesn’t deserve to die peacefully like that.”

“My son, I don’t know if he killed her. Let’s go out and we’ll learn the details from the police. They’re here,” Maru said crying.

Adrian moved toward the door, but he felt pain in his chest. His breathing became fast, and he felt severe dizziness and ringing in his ear. He was still in shock. Adrian suddenly fainted, which worried Maru and everyone.

“My son... What’s wrong? Alexander!” Maru said, sitting beside him and holding his hand worriedly as she shouted for Alexander.

Jack, Martin, and Alexander came to carry him together.

After a short while, Adrian began to wake up. He looked around, and suddenly found Miran standing there. He looked at her. She was smiling at him and glowing like an angel.

“My little boy,” Miran said in a deep voice. She looked very beautiful dressed in white.

“Mom,” Adrian whispered through his tears.

She suddenly began to disappear from there.

“Mom,” Adrian said, a tear falling from his eye. He opened his eyes while crying harder.

“Mom,” Adrian said crying.

Maru went to him and held his hand while crying. He woke up frightened. He was still sleeping and did not realize that he had been dreaming, so he began looking around.

“My son, don’t panic... I’m here,” Maru said crying as she looked at him.

Adrian only cried.

“My mother was here. Where did she go?” Adrian said crying.

“Adrian, don’t do this. It was a dream,” Maru said crying.

Adrian closed his eyes, and his tears fell harder.

“Don’t cry, my son,” Maru said crying.

“She really left. For a moment, I thought it was a nightmare, but it’s real,” Adrian said crying.

“I have to say goodbye to her properly... Right, Mom?” Adrian said crying.

Maru wiped his tears and nodded. “You will do that,” Maru said crying.

Adrian woke up and pulled the IV from his hand before leaving the room. Only Jack and Dominic were looking on sadly.

After some time, they all put on proper black clothes, and everyone was consoling Adrian at the cemetery. Since no one knew that he was Mr. G, only his guards and friends came to offer him condolences. Kai was buried only by his guard and some people who had worked with him or knew him. Adrian did not see Marcus anywhere and found it strange, but he did not care. Adrian was crying hard, and everyone was as well.

He looked at the coffin one last time and touched it with his hands.

“Please forgive me, Mom. I never meant what I said to you,” Adrian said crying as he knelt at her grave, crying and touching her coffin with his hands.

“Forgive me for being a bad son,” Adrian said crying.

Martin came to him and placed his hand on his shoulder.

“May she rest in peace,” Martin said sadly.

Adrian stood with Martin’s help and returned to Maru’s side, who was crying hard. Everyone began scattering dirt over her coffin. Maru was crying, and Jack and Dominic stayed close to her.
