Chapter 92 Chapter 92

Chapter 92 Chapter 92
Clara's POV:

"Where did you get this ring from?" Jace asked as he seized my left hand and swiftly removed the diamond ring.

I hadn't thought that he was still familiar with the ring.

"Jace, give me back my ring. I am your wife, so this ring is rightfully mine," I told him, but he seized the ring and put it into his trouser pocket, glaring at me.

"You are not my wife. So do not bother about wearing the ring," Jace said, his voice cold, and I glared at him.

"I am not going to divorce you, Jace. And do not think that my twin sister will accept you. Whatever Celine and you had was all thanks to me. So forget about her," I turned and marched back into the house, not waiting to look back at Jace or to hear what he had to say.

As I spotted Tina, I informed her, "Go and change out of your dress. You are following my husband to the hospital to have Kevin registered."

Tina's eyes widened in shock, and she nodded. "Okay, madam."

After that, I made my way upstairs to the second floor, not bothering to follow Jace to the hospital. I wasn't ready to be confronted by the nurses or doctors, so I retreated to my room to rest.

For the last six months that I had been acting a fake pregnancy, I hadn't been to any modeling shows or works. Now that I am done with all that, I decided that after Kevin's DNA test was out, I will update about his birth on my page as my son and likely resume with my work.

I smiled when I saw that Celine didn't post anything about my taking her baby or about me having a hand in her abductors.

Celine is a sweet soul, and all thanks to her, I have my peace.

Jace's POV:

"Where's Clara?" I asked Tina once she came out of the house, wearing a blue dress and black shoes. She carried my son in her arms carefully.

"I don't know, sir. She went back upstairs and said that I am the one following you to the hospital to have Kevin registered," Tina said, as she lowered her head and avoided looking at my face.

My fist clenched as I heard Tina say that. Why would Clara not want to go with me to the hospital?

I thought about the ring that I had taken away from her hand and sighed.

The sight of the ring on Clara's finger triggered my annoyance because I knew that Clara wasn't my wife, and I was still wearing my ring. So I didn't want to see her wearing it.

"It's fine. Let's go," I said to Tina, who was nervous.

Tina carefully placed my baby in his infant car seat, and I closed the car door as she got into the second seat.

"Sir, are you the one driving?" Roy asked when I made an attempt to get into the driver's seat of my black Bentley.

"Yes. I will be the one to drive. Or do you want to?" I asked him, and he smiled.

"Yes, boss," Roy said, and I moved to the second seat and got in, while Tina and Kevin were at the back.

As Roy got into the car and fastened his seat belt, he ignited the car and drove out of my residence, going to the private hospital that I had registered with before as my family hospital in Turkey Island.

Roy arrived at the hospital car park and parked the car.

A few minutes later, Tina and I made our way into the hospital, and I had already contacted Dr. Leo Easton to inform him of my son's registering and having a DNA test.

"Welcome, Chief Augustus," Dr. Leo shook hands with me, and I smiled.

"Thanks, Doc. I brought my son today, though his mother refused to accompany me, as we have our own misunderstandings," I said once we got into Dr. Easton's office.

"It's alright. I won't keep you waiting and get the lab doctor to come and draw his blood for the paternity test. Rest assured, we deliver clean results, and it will be out in two days," Dr. Leo said, to which I nodded with relief.

"Thanks, Doctor. I would like my son to also be registered here for other medical checkups," I spoke to Dr. Leo, and he smiled.

Dr. Leo was older than me by four years, and we have been friends even when his father was the chief doctor of this private hospital.

"Alright. Kindly have a seat, and let me handle the rest," Dr. Leo said as he gestured for me to have a seat in his office. As I sat down and watched him do all the necessary lab checks on my son, they drew his blood and gave him other immunization checks.

Afterwards, Dr. Leo told me that we could leave.

"So I will be back for the checkup, and my son can come for his medical checkups too," I said once I set to leave the hospital with Tina.

"Yes, Chief Augustus. Take care, and your son is in good health," Dr. Leo said, which made me relieved. I didn't want to raise the fact that Clara didn't want to breastfeed my child, and she didn't care about trying to breastfeed.

I think she probably took some medication to prevent her from breastfeeding.

Sighing, I escorted Tina and my son to the car, and I informed Roy, "Roy, ensure to hire a new nanny for me by tomorrow. I do not want a young woman."

"Okay, chief," Roy replied with a smile as we all got into the car.

So far, Kevin hadn't been crying too much like when he was born. I'm sure he was already getting used to his surroundings.

As we got our seatbelts fastened, Roy ignited the car and drove out of the hospital, taking us back home.

Once Roy arrived at my magnificent mansion and drove the black Bentley into the premises and parked it, I saw Clara on the second floor balcony, sitting there with an AirPod in her ear and listening to music.

I looked away from her as I got out of my car, while Tina carefully carried Kevin back into the house.

I didn't have the intention of going to my company for the time, except to attend state meetings, as I was still a politician, but I didn't attend the meetings every day, only on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Going into the living room, I made my way to the top floor to have my shower and to change out of my clothes.

A few minutes later, Clara arrived at the top floor, as she knew the password.

"How did the DNA test go?" She asked, and I wanted to ignore her, but I had to update her.

"It went well. Kevin has been registered in the private hospital, and Dr. Leo asked why you didn't come along. You made it look like you don't want to be interrogated as to why you are not breastfeeding my son?" I asked her as I was done wearing a brown top and black trousers.

Clara smiled and looked away, "I didn't want to visit the hospital. I am fine, and I have no breast milk. Besides, Kevin is a good boy, and he is used to taking the baby food."

"Mmm," I looked at Clara's face and shook my head, wishing I hadn't proposed to her from the beginning.

"I do not blame you but only myself. I am sure that if Celine was to be Kevin's mother, she wouldn't hesitate to breastfeed him. But you, being worried about losing your breast shape, wouldn't allow you to compromise," I said, and Clara's cheeks flushed.

"Say whatever you like. My son is fine. I just came to see how the DNA test went. I will go downstairs to the kitchen and prepare our lunch," Clara said, and I scowled.

"Don't bother about preparing lunch. I don't need your food," I said after her, but she didn't stop and went away.

Sighing, I went to my home office to work on some projects that I had to do with my computer.
