Chapter 90 Chapter 90
Chapter 90 Chapter 90
Celine's POV:
After booking my flight ticket, I set off to leave for Banana Island. I had been planning to relocate there and open a branch of my bakery. But I hadn't made up my mind yet. Now that an opportunity presented itself, I decided to leave immediately, before Clara could track me down.
I made all the necessary arrangements, including purchasing some clothes online and having them delivered right away. I packed up my few clothes and baby things and left the city immediately.
"We will miss you, Anna," Madam Lucy said, as she came to give me a warm hug.
"I will miss you more," I told her as I finally pulled away from the hug. The taxi I had ordered had arrived, but Madam Lucy still insisted that her daughter accompany me to the airport.
"Wouldn't that raise suspicion if anyone who knows Savannah from your sister sees her and reports to her husband?" I asked Madam Lucy once we stood at the front of the house.
Madam Lucy appeared emotional and she nodded.
"You're right. But I just want to make sure that you leave the city safely," she said, her voice filled with sobs.
"I will be fine. I promise," I told Madam Lucy, and she came forward and enveloped me in a warm hug.
"Safe trip, Annah. We will miss you," Madam Lucy said, after hugging me.
I got into the car, as I had already bought a car seat for my newborn baby.
Leaving this city wasn't easy, and though I was in pain, I wasn't safe here until I got out of Clara's grip. Then I can assume that I am safe.
Though I went with the identity card of Savannah Henry, who was 26 years old, while I am 25.
I waved goodbye at them as the car driver drove out of the house. I took one final look backward at Madam Lucy's house and waved at them, as Brianna was the one who pulled the gate open for the car to leave.
Once the Uber driver had driven far away from their home and was getting near the airport, I sighed and reclined in the car seat, feeling assured.
At the airport, I set out my baby stroller and put my baby in it, then I went to the airport to clear my identity.
Checking my name and identity card, the flight attendant smiled at me as he was a young man, and he checked me thoroughly and finally allowed me and my baby to enter the airplane.
I sighed, after taking my seat in the airplane. My baby was seated next to me and was asleep.
The airplane soon took off, and only then did I relax in the plane.
Once the airplane arrived at Banana Island, I was more than happy that I was already away from home, my family, and my twin sister's grip.
This was my new life. Though Madam Lucy Henry helped me to look like her daughter, I knew that the name Anna could be linked to me if Madam Lucy was caught and interrogated by Clara. So I opted for a new name and to move on with my life.
Thinking about the name more, I decided to go with Ann, and not my real name, as I wasn't safe until the storm calms.
After 6 hours on the plane ride, we finally landed at Banana Island.
"Welcome home, Kaleb," I said to my son, though he was asleep and couldn't hear me. I smiled with relief and went to check out of the airline.
We waited for my luggage to arrive. Once I got everything, I ordered a cab and made some online payments.
Then I went to a nearby hotel to lodge and to make plans for my staying in this new environment.
...
Jace's POV:
The next day, I woke up in my room and, as I had already made contact with Dr. Leo Easton, who was like my family doctor, I went into my bathroom to have my bath. Once I got out, I donned a red shirt and black trousers, pairing it with a pair of black shoes, and set off to leave my room, making my way downstairs to the living room.
"Good morning, Sir," Esther greeted me first, as she was done cleaning the living room.
"Morning. Where is Tina?" I asked Esther calmly as she wore a yellow dress and black pair of slippers.
With her head lowered, Esther replied, "Tina is assisting Madam to have Kevin's bath."
"Alright," I agreed and made up my mind to make an arrangement for a nanny for my son, as my mother couldn't handle a baby either.
Luca said that his mother also suffered from a partial stroke after fainting from the news of Celine's disappearance, so he said that she will only come to visit my baby with his father, but I haven't seen them.
I moved over to the couch to have a seat, and Esther asked me nervously, "Chief, should I call Tina?"
"No. You can continue with your job. I will wait for Clara to be through. You don't have to worry," I said, and Esther bowed and left for the kitchen.
A few minutes later, I saw Tina arrive downstairs, and she carried a bucket of trash to discard.
"Good morning, sir," she greeted me, where I sat on the couch and went through my project on my phone. I had checked on Celine's profile page and saw that she didn't respond to me, and she hadn't come online since last night.
Sighing, I looked at Tina and mumbled, "Morning."
The sound of a car arriving at my home caught my ear, and I wondered who was here to visit me.
As I switched on the television, I saw that it was Luca and his parents who had arrived, as he had already mentioned to them that Clara had welcomed her baby.
As I rose from the couch, I moved over to the door to welcome them.
"Good morning, Mr. Augustus," Celine's mother, Mrs. Nancy Mason, greeted me first as she got out of the black car.
It was Luca's car, and his mother wore a brown top, a black skirt, and shoes.
"Morning, Madam," I greeted Clara's mother, as Mrs. Nancy smiled and walked up with the aid of a walking stick to meet me.
Mrs. Nancy wasn't that old, but after suffering from the shock of one of her daughter's disappearance for the last six months, she had become a little fragile.
Mr. Morris Mason also got out of the car to meet me, and I greeted him by shaking hands with him.
"Good morning, Mr. Mason," I greeted him first, and he smiled. "Morning, son-in-law. I am sorry that my wife and I are just having the time to come and congratulate you and Clara today on the birth of your child."
"There's no problem, sir. Come in," I said with a calm voice and a polite smile.
I knew they were happy for me that Clara and I now have a child together, and I didn't want to shatter their hopes by telling them that I do not want Clara again. I think part of their happiness was because Celine had been found, and I didn't want to shatter their happiness.
"Come in," I invited them as I made my way back into my living room and unlocked the door for them.
Clara had already brought Kevin downstairs, as she had dressed him in new clothes, and he was awake and in his baby bed.
"Mom, Dad," Clara exclaimed happily, as if she wasn't aware that her parents were coming to see her. And she wore a blue dress that accentuated her figure and had her cleavage exposed.
"Clara, how are you and our baby doing?" Her mother asked her, with joy in her voice, and Clara carefully walked up to give her mother a warm hug.
