Chapter 80 He Vents for Her

Aurora really wanted a son.

"Beckett, you say. As long as it's something I can do, I'll do my best," Aurora said firmly to Beckett.

Beckett spoke up, "After you take the prescription for health preservation, don't come to Sweetheart Holland again. Consider your mother-daughter relationship over; you have no further connection."

"Okay." Aurora agreed without hesitation.

Seeing her indifferent attitude, Beckett felt even more disgusted with her.

Beckett took a pen and paper and prescribed them for her.

Aurora held the prescription as if it were a precious treasure."Thank you, thank you!"

Aurora was originally prepared to kneel and beg Beckett, but she didn't expect to get the prescription easily. With this prescription, she might be able to give birth to a son for Juniper.

By the time Poppy got married, the Evans Family's assets would belong to Aurora and her son.

"You can leave. Remember what I said."

Beckett's voice was cold, and he was particularly annoyed with Aurora.

Afraid that he might change his mind, Aurora left directly.

Aunt watched on the side, feeling a sense of sorrow, and said, "Mr. Beckett Sr, you are too kind."

Beckett explained, "She is Holland's mother. This time, she knelt, pretending to be pitiful. I'm afraid she might threaten suicide next time, and she will constantly harass Holland. It's better to let me handle this."

"Others will definitely think that Mrs. Covington is not her biological daughter; I feel that they don't look alike at all." Aunt couldn't stand such a cold-blooded person.

Beckett said somewhat absentmindedly, "Perhaps Holland takes after her father."

Although he had never seen Holland's father.

In the Drake Building, the Drake Group was holding a shareholders' meeting.

In the first meeting room, the group's shareholders were gathered. Ramsey and Roman sat on either side at the head of the table with stern faces.

An assistant whispered to Ramsey, "Mr. Drake, the head of SkyOrigin Corporation, is here."

"I know."

As soon as he finished speaking, the door of the meeting room was pushed open.

Covington and Holland walked in side by side, followed by Sullivan, the project manager of SkyOrigin Corporation. Covington, tall and commanding in his suit, walked with steady strides.

Sullivan pulled out the main office chair for Covington and added a side chair for Holland.

"That seat is Morgan's, you can't sit there."

Ramsey stood up, glaring angrily at Covington.

Covington sat down calmly, sneering, "The majority shareholder is absent. I hold twenty percent of the shares. Shouldn't I sit in this seat?"

"You should."

"Mr. Drake, of course, you should sit in that seat."

The minority shareholders recognized the situation and knew that Ramsey and Roman had no real power.

Morgan still held thirty percent of the shares, and at his seventieth birthday party, he had expressed his intention to give the shares to Covington.

But even if Ramsey had these shares, Covington's position as the founder of SkyOrigin Corporation remained unshakable.

Covington glanced coldly at Ramsey and Roman, saying, "You can't sit on either side. Sullivan, please add seats for Ramsey and Roman at the end. What are you in this shareholders' meeting?"

"Okay."

Sullivan was more than willing to do this.

He immediately went to Ramsey and Roman's side and said, "Please leave these seats; the others present have more authority than you."

The CEO had no power in front of the shareholders.

"You!" Ramsey was so angry that he trembled, veins popping on his forehead.

Roman grabbed his arm, reminding him in a low voice, "Calm down."

"Roman, he's too arrogant!"

"Think about that thirty percent stake." Once they had the shares, they would sit in the middle seats, and then Covington would have to make way for them.

Ramsey angrily walked to the end and roughly pulled out a chair, making a grating sound as it scraped against the floor. In a fit of anger, he sat down directly.

Roman was much more composed than him, able to maintain a calm exterior.

Covington looked at them indifferently, his right hand resting on the table, fingers caressing Holland's wrist.

Holland turned her head to look at him gently, feeling particularly sweet.

"Covington, what exactly are you trying to do by convening this shareholders' meeting?" Ramsey said angrily.

Yesterday, Covington had humiliated him by kneeling, and today, he was holding a shareholders' meeting.

Ramsey felt that Covington was deliberately targeting him.

"I want you to move from your position," Covington said casually, "I've been fed up with you for a long time." He looked proud and extremely indifferent.

"Don't go too far," Ramsey warned.

"Is this going too far? There's more to come later." Covington turned to Sullivan and said, "Sullivan, you take charge of the meeting."

Sullivan was very enthusiastic, trying hard to impress Covington.

He cleared his throat and said, "Today, Covington has convened the shareholders' meeting to discuss changes in ownership; shareholders have the right to participate in major decisions and change management. Mr. Drake has proposed the removal of the President and Vice President of Drakes Group."

Changing the President of Drakes Group?

The other shareholders hadn't expected Covington to target Ramsey and Roman first.

He actually wanted to remove them from the management.

"What right do you have to remove me? I was appointed as Vice President by Morgan himself, and since Morgan is not present, why do you propose this on your own?" Ramsey, unable to contain his anger, roared in distress upon hearing Covington's intention to remove him from his position.

"Covington, we are family. Why be so cruel to us?" Roman sat up straight, speaking seriously.

"I want to video call Morgan, and he should also attend today's meeting," Ramsey shouted, determined.

"As you wish." Covington looked dignified and aloof, his eyes full of indifference.

Each shareholder had voting rights, and Morgan held only thirty percent of the shares, so he didn't have an absolute advantage. Moreover, he never did anything unprepared.

Ramsey immediately opened the projection screen in the meeting room and connected the computer and video called Morgan. Morgan's wrinkled face soon appeared on the big screen, looking pale and weak.

Ramsey exaggerated the situation, relaying everything that was happening in the meeting room to Morgan.

Morgan looked towards Covington and asked, "Covington, do you really have to do this?"

Covington's eyes were cold and stern as he replied, "Of course."

Sighing, Morgan said, "Then let's vote by raising hands."

"Wait!"

Sullivan grinned and said, "Before we vote by raising hands, I want to show all the shareholders a document that I've spent half a year preparing."

He handed out a large stack of documents. Since Morgan wasn't present, he thoughtfully sent an electronic version to ensure he could see clearly.

Sullivan conspicuously did not give the documents to Ramsey and Roman.

"This..."

The shareholders were stunned when they saw the documents in their hands.

"Is this real? Absurd!"

The big screen went black, the camera on Morgan's end shook, and the phone fell to the ground.

After reading the document, he actually fainted, and the chaos at the Drakes' Family Mansion could be heard in the meeting room.

"Mr. Morgan!"

"Mr. Morgan, what's up with you?"

"Call a doctor!"

Ramsey and Roman locked eyes, both sensing danger.

What exactly was written on that document?
