Chapter 97

Ariel's POV

"How are you feeling, Princess?" Brandon asked

"I am fine, but my head hurts from when Keven hit me," I replied, and Brandon and Landon growled.

"Let's get you to the Pack Hospital to make sure you and the Baby are alright," Landon said, and Brandon picked me up bridal style and walked toward the car.

Before we could get to the car, the went picked up, and it started raining hard. Thunder could be heard, and there was lightning. I knew someone had to be casting a spell because only a few seconds ago, there was a clear sky.

Suddenly, an older man was standing in front of us with red eyes. The same Warlock that was with Keven and Leo when they kidnapped me was standing beside him.

"Hello, Ariel. You are coming with me," The man said. I could feel he was very powerful and instantly knew he was the warlock lord. Brandon and Landon stood protectively in front of me.

"She isn't going anywhere with you," Brandon growled.

"Come to me, Little One," The Warlock Lord said. I tried to fight off his command but couldn't. I started walking toward him, but Landon grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"What are you doing, Ariel?" Landon asked

"I can't help it. I don't know why, but I have to listen to him. Even though I don't want to," I replied.

"You have to fight it, Princess," Brandon said, and the Warlock Lord laughed.

"She can't fight it. I am too powerful for her not to do as I say. Let me prove it to you. I want you to kill your Mates Ariel."

Brandon's POV

Ariel's eyes were changing from red to their normal color. I could tell she was fighting hard not to listen to what the man was telling her. He wanted her to kill us.

"Do what I told you to do, Little One. Kill your Alpha Mates," The man said

"No, I won't hurt them," Ariel said, and the man went flying into a tree. He quickly stood up, and I knew he was pissed.

"Why are you fighting my order? YOu know who I am and that I am more powerful than you or anyone else in the world," the man said

"Yes, I do know who you are. You are the Warlock Lord, The man that Killed my mother's side. I know you are powerful, but not more powerful than me. That is why you want me because you believe I will help you take over the world, but that isn't going to happen," Ariel said

"Why wouldn't you help me take over the world? Both of your Parents are dead. Your stepmother and stepsister mistreated you and sold you to your Mates to pay off a debt. Speaking of your Mates, they both you and let their Beta beat you up. They are holding you back, Ariel. I could give you everything you want, anything you could ever dream of. Power, money, everyone would have to do as you say. Your Mates took your dream to go to Harvard away, but you could do what you want with me. I would never make you choose between me and your dreams. We would rule the world. All you have to do is kill your Mates," the Warlock Lord said.

"Don't listen to him, Ariel. He is trying to turn you against us," Landon said

"You are right. They are holding me back. They have taken everything from me that I ever dreamed of having," Ariel said

Ariel walked up to the Warlock Lord and wrapped her hands around him, hugging him tightly. My heart started to hurt seeing her so close to him. I knew Landon was feeling hurt as well.

"What do you plan on doing about it?" The Warlock Lord asked

"They will get what they deserve," Ariel replied, and he smiled.

"Ariel, don't listen to him," Landon said, but then Ariel shocked us by taking a dagger out of the Warlock Lord's pocket and stabbing him in his chest. "Did you really think you could trick me into turning on my Mates? That will never happen," Ariel said

"This isn't over," The Warlock Lord said and disappeared.

"Where the fuck did he go?" Landon growled.

We heard someone moving and looked over to see the Warlock that was with the Warlock Lord standing there. He tried to use his powers on us, but Ariel was quicker than him. She used her powers to throw him into a tree, and Landon went over to him and punched him in his face.

"Where did the Warlock Lord go?" Landon asked

"I am not going to tell you anything. You might as well kill me," the Warlock said

"I was planning on it, but first, I am going to cause you so much pain that you are going to beg me to kill you," Landon said, grabbing the Warlock's shoulder.

"I am sure the Warlock King is dead now. I stabbed him in his chest," Ariel said, and the Warlock laughed.

"He is not dead. He is the strongest man in the world. He will come for you when you least expect it."

"Shut up before I rip your tongue out of your mouth," Brandon said. I was worried because we had no idea where the Warlock king had gone. He had to be very powerful to be able to use his magic right after being stabbed.

One thing I knew was that I was going to keep Ariel close by. There was no way I was letting him get my Mate.
