Chapter 92
Brandon's POV
"I need all the guards and everyone that works in the jail to come to meet Landon and me in the conference now," I mind-linked everyone in the Pack. Landon had made a good point. There was no way Keven and Leo got out of their cell without someone's help. That meant someone from our Pack helped them escape.
"Yes, Alpha," Everyone linked back.
"What's going on," Ariel linked Landon and me through are Mate link.
"We figured out something and need to talk to all the guards at the cell. Gabriel will stay by our door until we are done. We will be there soon, Princess," I linked back.
"Okay, be careful. I love you both," Ariel linked back.
"I love you too, Princess," I said
"I love you too, Angel," Landon said, and we ended the link.
"You know everyone is going to say they had nothing to do with it," Landon said
"I know. That is why we need to look at the surveillance films. Maybe we will find something from watching them," I replied, and we walked to the Jail. I told all the guards and everyone at the Jail to meet us in the conference room so Landon and I could check the films without anyone knowing. I didn't want anyone tampering with them.
When we got to the Jail, we went to the surveillance room.
"What the fuck," I growled when I searched for today's footage and found out there was none.
"Someone must have turned off the camera," Landon said
"We need to talk to everyone from in the conference room. We need to go through all the footage from other days to see if anything seems weird. I will do that after our meeting," I said
"Alright," Landon replied, and we headed to the conference room. When we arrived, everyone was talking amongst themself. I was sure they knew they were called there because Keven and Leo escaped.
"Hello, everyone. As you all know, Keven and Leo have escaped. We have been looking for them but couldn't find them anywhere. We believe they had help getting out of their cell from someone that works at the Jail. There is no way they could have gotten out without help because everyone is constantly being guarded. Alpha Landon and I need to talk to all of you privately and ask if you have seen anything that might not have seemed right. We need to know. If someone has been acting strangely, we need to know. Please have a seat and wait until you are called into our office to speak to us," I said, and Landon and I walked to my office.
It took about three hours to get done speaking with everyone that worked at the Jail, and everyone said they had no idea how Keven and Leo could have gotten out of their cells.
"We are getting nowhere," Landon growled as he walked into my office.
"I know, bro. I am frustrated, too," I replied
"We need to use our Alpha command to see who is lying to us. I am sure someone that works at the Jail knows something," Landon growled. I knew he was right, but the Council didn't like it when Alphas used their Alpha Aura to make their Pack Members tell them something. They felt it was making them say something against their will.
I didn't want anyone going back to the Council and telling them we were forcing our Pack Members to talk, but I knew we didn't have any other choice. Our Mate was in danger, and we needed to know who was all involved so we could take care of them.
"You are right. Let's start over and speak to everyone that works at the Jail," I said and. Landon went back to his office, and we spoke to everyone again. This time we used our Alpha Command to make them tell the truth. While some were holding back things like going to lunch a little too soon or taking longer breaks, everyone was telling the truth about not having anything to do with Keven and Leo's escape.
"Okay, something is definitely not right. How can everyone not know what happened? There is no way Keven and Leo were able to escape a highly secure Jail by themselves," Landon said
"Did we speak to everyone that works at the Jail? Maybe someone didn't show up," I replied
"I believe so. Let's check and see if someone didn't show up," Landon said, and we went back to the Jail to check the document that showed who all was assigned to work at the Jail.
"It looks like we mostly talked to the Pack Members that worked there today," I said, checking over the sheet.
"Did you talk to him? I believe he goes to school with Ariel," Landon said
"I don't remember speaking to him, and he worked there earlier today. It says he got off about an hour before they escaped," I said
"That seems a little convenient for him to get off right before Keven and Leo escaped, and why didn't he show up after we mind-linked him too? I think we need to go and find him," Landon said
"I think you are right. I believe he knows something about what happened," I replied and mind-linked one of the guards to bring the Pack Member to my office.
We waited for about ten minutes, and then the guard I told to bring the Pack Member to my office mind-linked me back.
"Alpha Brandon, Alpha Landon, we can't find the Pack Member you are wanting to talk to. No one has seen him since his shift earlier today," The guard said through mind-link
"I need you and every other guard to find him," Landon linked back.
"Yes, Alpha," the guard replied, and we ended the link.
"I am sure he has something to do with Keven and Leo's escape," I said
"And he will be punished for his part in them getting away."
